Habilis Construction

It was an absolutely horrible renovation experience with Habilis. Renovation and design plans were incomplete pencil drawings. They have no project management, no detailed schedules, horrible communication about staging and ensuring supplies are where they need to be when they need to be there. Projects encountered massive delays, in large part because of overpromising by Habilis regarding what they could actually do in a day. They made dozens of mistakes - buying the wrong faucets, installing tile in a haphazard pattern, installing knobs in the wrong places despite explicit written and verbal instructions otherwise, etc. Their sloppy workmanship (e.g., tile grouting, ceiling light placement, tiling) had to be redone multiple times. Their project communication is atrocious (e.g., they would just make key design decisions without consulting me). And in the end, rather than fix their blatant, admitted mistakes, they walked off the unfinished job, never to be heard from again. I have photos and emails that back it all up. Do not hire Habilis. You will pay a lot and get very little (except frustration).

This company came highly recommended to me by a coworker. I was in need of a contractor to come in and finish a project started by another local company. They were very professional and efficient with their work, and even brought to my attention, the pipes within the walls were not affixed properly (which he fixed as they should be). The complete job went without a hitch and the clean-up after completion was impressive. I will be using them for my future projects.
