Germantown Heating & Air Conditioning

I have two systems at two family homes from Germantown HVAC. Excellent competitive pricing - very good service - the owner is involved - technicians are well trained - phone-staff is helpful - I've never had a problem with (the rare, but occasionally necessary) appointments in the course of the last 10 years. Technicians are fast, and pricing per half hour is very reasonable. You really can't go wrong.

I had scheduled an HVAC maintenance appointment for July 22, 2024. I called and was assured that the technician would arrive on time. However, after waiting for hours, no one showed up. When I called back, I was informed that the appointment had been canceled, and they claimed to have left me a voicemail. I checked my voicemail, and there was none. Clearly, the representative on the phone was lying. They have no concern about the customer's time and gives a s*** about it. It is very unprofessional to cancel an appointment without informing the customer and then lie about it. Save your time and look elsewhere; there are plenty of other companies in the county that will do a good job.

On a scale of 1-10 I'd give them 10. I've been with them since I bought my unit. I would recommend them.

Great. We really couldn't have asked for anything more. We've been working with them for a few years now, and they've been terrific every time. We feel like they've made it easy and saved us money both in their comparatively low costs, in their recommendations, and in our heating and a/c bills after the new system was put in.

Company representative provided clear and helpful information about available alternatives, and a comprehensive estimate. The work was scheduled and competed on time with a minimal disruption of the household. Follow up calls were answered promptly.

We've been very happy with them. I'm very satisfied with them. They do electronic air cleaners, humidifiers; for people who have allergies they have those humidifiers. They are very polite and efficient. When they say they will be back the next day with the part, they came back the next day. They are dependable, and reasonable in price too. The price wasn't perfect but they were reasonable to us.

The price is very reasonable. I haven’t compared the price. I have an appointment with them this Thursday. I have had them for 7 years. I have a service contract, so my out of pocket had already been paid for.

For both works, their technicians were very professional and helpful. They were punctual and responsive. They fixed the problems. The quality of work was great. The service charges were very reasonable. We have been using Germantown Heating and Air for various heat pump issues for a while. They are simply one the best heating and cooling companies in this area.

Very professional and easy to deal with, even after they had to add me to an already full schedule on the hottest day of the year. They fixed it right away for a decent price, and let me know that the lifespan of my 30-yr-old AC unit was usually around 15 years. I will definitely call them again (but hopefully not too soon).

Everyone at Germantown Heating and Air Conditioning was very professional.  I scheduled an estimate to have our gas furnace and air conditioner replaced.  Cecil was on time and the quote he provided was very fair.  They were able to get our system installed a few days later.  The crew that installed our system was prompt and clean.  We are very pleased with the service we received from Germantown Heating and Air Conditioning.

This was the first time that I used this company.  I found that the service man, Joe, was prompt, very courteous, and very knowledgeable.  He took time to answer my questions, and showed that he really cared about providing great service.  Based on this, I requested and sign a service agreement for the year.

All my contacts with Germantown Heating and AC were. excellent. Very responsive on the phone. They were able to schedule me when I wanted.I was given a time window between 10 - 1pm. The office called at 10:30 am to report Paul was just leaving a job in Gaithersburg and would be arriving soon. Paul was professional and friendly. He was very knowledgeable and kept me posted as he checked my system. I was happy to hear he had the necessary part in his truck to get my AC up and running again. In under two hours I was back in business and Paul was out the door. I was a great experience and I will call them again if needed. I really don't like having strangers in my house but Paul put me at ease. I would request him in the future.

Within an hour or so after my phone call for help, Germantown H&AC sent over Mike, who found that the ignitor was cracked, which explained why the air wasn't warm in our house.  He was able to replace the part and get our old furnace running again.

The cost approximately $10,000. They did a good quality job, they were very professional, and they went out of their way to keep the cost down.  It was a gas conversion so they had to run the new gas line through the house to our furnace, which requires a plumber.  They went out of the way to hire a plumber who would give us the best price, getting estimates from two different plumbers.  The job was not entirely straightforward due to some constraints on where they could run the gas line and exhaust line through my house.  They were able to handle these complexities.  Finally they removed my old oil tank, a difficult job.  I was very satisfied.
