They gave a price and walked me through everything and said it would be no problem. Having promised to deliver a contract, the boss called and said "how much did he quote". The dollars were way off. I said I didn't feel comfortable without a contract. It made me feel very uncomfortable.
Description of Work: They sent a sales person over for an estimate.

Response from FOUR SEASONS SUNROOMS
[Member name removed]... Sounds like you had a frustrating experience and I don't blame you for wanting to reach out and share. However, we have searched our database high and low and we are unable to find any record of your name or your address in our system. Perhaps you dealt with a company with a similar name. In any case, I would be more than happy and willing to help you with your project. Please contact me directly at the branch and perhaps we can get something set up.

The salesman did a good job of gathering requirements and going over options, and the initial scheduling and early work went smoothly, with our existing deck tied in mostly as requested. However, once the roof was framed out and the rain on that side of the house had nowhere else to go, we had to put down a huge Rubbermaid tote to catch the water that was pouring into the room and going right under the subfloor. They did not seem to care that this was a concern for us. At "completion", they tried to demand more money for steps that were part of the drawing/plan they did for the contract, but hadn't yet built. The room leaked heavily for many months after "completion", but after repeated visits the room leaked little enough to put down the laminate flooring. The foreman was diligent about trying to fix it, but after multiple attempts it stopped for a while. When a ceiling panel shattered while we were away and I asked for it to be replaced, the owner accused me of lying and breaking it myself. After I finally convinced them to send someone out to look at it without charging us, they discovered that the glass broke because it was improperly installed, and they replaced it without charge. The room still has small leaks to this day, and although it is beautiful and we enjoy it most of the time, we dread heavy, driving rains, and wish fervently that we had gone with someone else. We have decided to live with the small leaks rather than deal with this company any longer.
Description of Work: We had a large sunroom added on to our house (15x25?), tying into an existing outer wall.

The next day I decided to go with a different contractor and called the company to cancel my contract. In Maryland we can cancel within 3 days of signing a contract. They agreed to my request. When I called after the weekend to make certain that this was done they told me that they would have to charge me a percentage of the service fee the credit card company was going to charge them for canceling the order. This came to over two hundred dollars. I called my credit card company and they said there was no such fee and made certain that I got all my money back. I never heard back from the company.
Description of Work: I contracted them to replace a solarium type structure on one side of my dinning room.
