The great thing about Fame is that they are a 1 stop shop where they help you with everything from beginning in the design phase to selecting materials to touch up work in the end. They do flooring, plumbing, painting etc. Adam was very helpful in helping us come up with design ideas, selecting material, and on a few occasions he came over to personally direct the work.

Fame remodeled our kitchen about 2 years ago. We feel the work was so unprofessional. Our issues that remain uncorrected are: * floor tiles not level and set with no spacers * cabinet doors not level and cabinets set crooked * fan/light doesn't work at all * tile in doorway cracked * trash drawer will NOT STAY CLOSED * pantry door falls out * paint job horrible: trim painted with dust in place, paint spatters on floor; walls 2-tone where cut in * hardwood installed in foyer has white hammer marks on every board * magnetic brass door plates missing ($160) to my front doors * trash, debris and paint splatters left in front * I COULD GO ON and be picky!

I had been to several kitchen places with a drawing of what I wanted to do and all the dimensions.
The customer service was poor, and only one would give me an estimate without coming out and measuring.  I did
let one come out and measure and give me an estimate. When I walked into FAME it was so different. Mike greeted me and asked a lot of questions about what I wanted, what style my home was, how long I planned to live there, and then
showed me what he recommended, which was exactly what I wanted.  He helped me pick out coordinating backsplash
and granite,  and then sat down and in 5 minutes worked up an estimate which was lower the others wanted just for cabinets,
Mike came out the next day to measure and I had the final contract ready to sign the next day, which was spot on with the estimates he had given me.  He  said it would take about 2 weeks to get the cabinets and would begin installing the
day they arrived.  He came out the day before to make sure we  were ready to take delivery.  His wonderful crew was
here the next day to demo and begin installation.  Once the cabinets were out of the garage, they moved all the first floor furniture to the garage.  While waiting a day for the granite  counters to arrive they did all the plumbing and electrical. Everything went so smoothly that the following day they started the floors.  They actually sanded all the existing floors  to bare wood, installed all the new flooring, making sure that the floors were staggered so you couldn?t tell where the old and new connected.  It took about  4 days total for the floors.   After all the floor was thoroughly dry, the remaining appliances were installed. The crew had a bit of trouble getting the every large refrigerator in (I would suggest having this installed by the company you buy it from) and one of the  refrigerator doors got dented.  Mike was in and out during the process and immediately ordered me a new door and his crew came out and installed it a few days later.  Adam came out when he returned from vacation to make sure I was pleased with the job.  The kitchen is a show stopper and the floors are absolutely beautiful.  If
you want personal attention, reliability, and honest, good workmanship, FAME is where you should go.

The owners of the store as well as the workers (with the exception of the backsplash installer) were professional and courteous. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. The price was competitive. We, as homeowner, did most of the design work and felt that more vision guidance could have been given.

Used them to replace carpet in bedrooms, living room and one room in basement. This was done years back. I called them back to give me an estimate on replacing carpet again. Great service, professional work. I would highly recommend them.

I trust Adam and Fame Flooring to perform work in my house, even when I am not at home. I have given Adam keys to the house, and have absolute trust that I have nothing to worry about when he or his team are working at my house.

First I interviewed many different companies. Many had "hard sells' when they arrived at my house. Actually it was somewhat comical when asking questions, one contractor, when he lost his place, because of my question, had a difficult time getting back to his script.
Most of the in home interviews and estimates took two hours each. I also included refacing companies. At first thats what brought me to Fame, until Fame said, let us give you an estimate for all new. My existing kitchen was thirty years old- it had all wood cabinets, but I had only updated my floors, which now matched my cabinets. I thought that if I just did a refacing that would make sense. I also wanted my cabinets to reach the ceiling and have the drawers that come out so my pots would stop falling on my feet. smile.
Fame was different in a great way from the start. Adam came to my house and measured and asked what I wanted. He said he would provide a written estimate within in the week and it would be broken down by item. (none of the others would give an item estimate) He said obviously, if I chose other more expensive granite, for example, the price would go up. My estimate was ready the next day in my email.
The estimate included replacing with all wood cabinets that reached the ceiling in a wood, color and design I chose, hardware, granite countertop, glass back splash and the painting of the kitchen and family rooms, lighting under the cabinets, and recessing lighting, a sink, and all plumbing. I had to buy my own paint and my own faucet.
When Fame came to the house for the interview and estimate at the end of May, they were on time to the minute. The estimate was very reasonable. I went in to the store and Adam helped with my color choices. Work would begin in about three to four weeks.
The three or four weeks were really five to six weeks, but that wasn't a problem for me. After hearing many disasters, I wanted to make sure that once they started, that it would take the three weeks he promised. (It actually took a bit less) They work until the project is done- yes, seven days a week until done. My project took two weeks and about five days.
The work was done beautifully, cleaned up each night, and done in a timely manner. The door was left unlocked so Sean could come in and go and he was very trustworthy and polite and clean. (My garage looked cleaner in the end of this project than when he started it.)
I added a fan and that was no problem. They also installed the new dishwasher.
They also allow you to pay over the year with so much down.
I so highly recommend this place- I would use them again in a heartbeat. They do bathrooms and all kinds of other work.

We had five quotes--three local companies and two national organizations. The two national chains were quickly eliminated--never clear who was in charge (design, corporate management, or subcontractor who would do the work) or what the real price was, with ever-changing "discounts." Fame flooring had the best price, and Adam Mansouri was excellent at explaining and guiding us through the process of design, layout, material selection and color choice. He was always patient and responsive to our questions and concerns, and did a great job of designing and layout. There was never a question of whom to call; Adam was our single point of contact for any issue. Adam was on-site throughout the process, not every day, but quite frequently and at all key points, and he had the details of our project in his head and at his fingertips, often remembering a detail that we had wanted but forgotten ourselves! We all did proper preparation, so there were no unpleasant surprises or cost increases. Any glitches or imperfections (which were few and minor) were all taken care of, even four months after the job was completed and paid.

I do not remember and have no idea how much I spent on their services. They are pretty good. Actually I like them. I wish I knew what their price was but it was a pretty good price. That's the reason why I went with them. It's because they weren't expensive. Their responsiveness was good. I will use their services again in the future.

We contacted multiple contractors and received multiple partial and complete estimates, including the free estimate from Adam at Fame Flooring for our 1st floor remodeling job. As we spoke with the different contractors, we felt that some were intimidated with the size and scope of the project or did not want to commit to a price for the entire job. Some contractors were willing to only provide partial estimates for part of the work (Kitchen cabinets, Flooring, etc) but suggested that we use other contractors for the rest of the job. We even paid for one kitchen design estimate that was never completed, as we decided that the contactor was not showing the right enthusiasm or confidence that he could complete the job on time and within budget.

In the end, we decided to go with Adam, after he assured us that he would handle the entire job. Adam came into our house and listened to our ideas, helped us with the design and was willing to adjust his quote when the job expanded several times. We ended up remodeling 75% of the first floor, including the lighting (now ceiling) in multiple rooms, most of the wiring, outlets, switches, and even the breaker box in the basement when we needed additional circuit breakers. We replaced all of the first floor interior doors with solid hard wood stained doors and replaced the garage door and added a patio door. We also ending up having to remodel a 2nd floor bath when the demolition of the kitchen revealed a leak in the bathtub that could not be repaired, and we decided to remodel the entire bath since the tub needed to be removed. We needed to make some slight plumbing modifications when removing the dining room wall, and Adam and his plumber handled the issues to suit the new kitchen layout.

As each phase of the job progressed, Adam was very patient as we discussed alternatives and listened to his advice to get the job done right. Several times we ended up changing our minds after Adam had materials onsite, but this was never a problem and we are very pleased that Adam was so easy to work with and willing to accommodate last minute changes.

The entire job took about 4 months to complete, which was longer than we had hoped, but there were some long stretches where we were waiting for materials that were ordered to arrive. When we found a few issues with the cabinets and the countertops, Adam was willing to call the contactors back to the house to address the issues without question. We felt very comfortable having the contractors in our house because they were professional, courteous and did a great job. We would definitely recommend Adam to our friends and family if they were looking for a contractor.

Adam at Fame Flooring has done quite a bit of work in our home over the last six years, but the most recent job resulted from snow melt from the ice-damming in early 2010 that "flooded" our basement. I had Adam remove and replace all the carpet from the basement, including stairway. While he was at it, I purchased press-on tile from Home Depot for two storage rooms. His guys prepped the floor and applied the tile for me. We also had Adam install duraceramic tile in our kitchen. He had previously installed ceramic tile in the abutting foyer. When Adam came over to do measurements, he observed that the floor level in the kitchen was over 1/4-inch higher than the foyer and also abutting dining room -- he would have to remove the subfloor from the kitchen. While he was quite willing to do whatever we asked, he did inform us that it would be more costly. As we considered options, he suggested the duraceramic (congoleum) tile. We went into the store and he helped us select the floor to closely match the foyer ceramic. The texture was great, and it was a very good solution. The installation was beautiful, and visually, it appears as if the foyer and the kitchen are one continuous floor of the same tile. Very pleased. Adam is very talented in design, guiding customers without imposing his own taste. He is respectful of your budget, and he has never tried to upsell us. He's incredibly diplomatic and has always been willing to work with us on our projects in any way we choose, e.g., we had previously purchased bathroom fixtures -- toilet, shower door, vanity cabinet, hardware. We purchased tile for shower stall and floor from Adam, but he was 100% willing to do the installation of all of the things we did not buy from him! He has a wonderful stable of contractors who do great work. Last summer, I consulted with him on the installation of a new oven that required modification of our existing corian counter, which we did not purchase from him. He had the modification to the counter done and the oven installed (with unforeseen mod to the electrical outlet for the oven, too) at a very fair price. He is a straight-shooter and you always know what you are going to get. He's always pleasant and professional -- an excellent project manager who stops in to check on the progress of work. Since he's out on giving estimates, checking work, etc. he's not in the store all the time, so we leave messages with Uncle Sam. He's gotten increasingly busy as Fame Flooring has expanded, but he's pretty good about returning phone calls. We've already talked about future projects, and we refer him to everyone we know who is doing work. I just can't say enough good things about Adam and Fame Flooring. We love working with him.

. They are very nice to deal with. There was some miscommunication regarding the kitchen countertops between them and the people that cut the stone so when my kitchen counter came it was five inches too short. We've negotiated and they took $250 off and cut another slab. They sent a supervisor out to polish it. I have a seam that I didn't originally want but they did as good of repair work as they possibly could. It doesn't show that much so I am happy with the job. They worked very hard and they had some workers from Mongolia for the countertops. They had a very hard set of workers for my kitchen floor and they laid the tile and did a nice neat job. They are not the priciest or the cheapest but I think we got a good price.

Scheduling was easy and I thought they did a fair job installing the carpet. A lot of the installation folks don't communicate a lot, they just rush in and do their job then leave.

He came out with my discount carpeting and he ended up talking me into more expensive carpeting. I am seventy years old so for carpeting you have to move all of the furniture. There was a handyman working at my home who had moved all of the furniture into my garage so when the sales man came out I said that he just needed to move all of the furniture back onto the carpeting. He told me that moving the furniture was not included in the price, but for a hundred dollars he would move it all back for me. They installed of the carpeting just fine, however when it came to moving the furniture back they said that there was nothing in the contract about moving furniture back, so I ended up having to tip each of the installers fifty dollars to move my furniture back after the installation. I think that the price deserves a B, because they were not square with me when we started. They showed up on time and finished all of the work on time. I would not use them again in the future.

I'd been thinking about granite for awhile. Saw the store and stopped in. Talked with Adam. He came by and gave me a loose estimate. It never changed. I was able to select the granite myself from a large slab. His guy who does the measuring and installing is an artist. An actual artist. Everyone showed up when they were supposed to, even the plumber came on time. Adam came back to see the finished product and install the electrical plates himself.

I highly recommend fame flooring for carpet installation. Not only are their prices more competitive but they have great customer service. Within hours of me selecting my carpet style, they had a representative at my home taking measurements and giving me final quote. Price was fantastic so I signed up immediately. They had installers on-site within days and they were professional and respectful. Carpet was installed as promised and looks great. I have since had fame flooring to my home for additional carpet needs and tile installation. I give them a thumbs up recommendation and only wish all companies had same prices and services.
