I have a large, expensive subwoofer speaker that was stored for many years while I was out of the country. When I returned, it was no longer working. The external fuse holder was broken, so it would not power up. I don't know what other problems were lurking as well.
Les said he would charge $60 for diagnosis and an estimate on the repairs. I dropped the speaker off at Les's house. He called back in about a week to say that repairs would cost $150, minus the $60 I'd already paid. A week later, I picked up my speaker. It's working great.
I couldn't be more pleased. To have replaced the speaker would have cost a lot more money for something nowhere near as good.

My Samsung 67 inch HD DLP TV uses a lamp/bulb to project the picture. The lamp needs to be replaced after burning out or else there is no picture. I discovered that I needed a new lamp on Thursday morning. I checked suppliers of replacement lamps on the internet. I could buy the recommended one for about $125 delivered and replace it myself. However, I did this and quot;simpleand quot; job on a previous similar TV and somehow caused $1,100 in damage to the TV.



This time I decided I would have a professional replace the lamp. I arranged with Samsung for a repairman to replace it but he could not come until the next Monday afternoon and the estimated cost was $250. I decided to try to find a local TV repair service that might be able to do it sooner. I found The Electronic Clinic. Les Dorfman said he could come on Friday morning and the cost would be about $280. He had an excellent rating on Angie's list. He called and came right on time Friday morning. He was able to replace the lamp/bulb and the TV works great! He was very professional and friendly. He also gave me some advice about the TV. He charged me the quoted price of $280.



Thanks to Len I was able to get the TV fixed at least 3 days sooner for about the same price and now I have a local service available for any future repair needs or home theater work.

He is great. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. He was very clean and neat.

I dropped it off for an estimate that was reasonably priced and applied to the total bill. The unit was repaired and ready quicker than the original estimate. The amplifier required several new solder joints, a cleaning and some relays. It is functioning quite well.

Not much to tell. Old components needed cleaned and parts (belts and connectors) replaced.

I wanted to have my TV mounted to our brick wall and have surround sound speakers mounted in the corners and center. This was a custom job that required custom expertise and the combination of Les and John got the job done and came out better then I even envisioned. Les is the expert on the audio/visual side and John is the expert on the mechanics on how everything comes together (is a carpenter as well). John and Les spent a good amount of time planning before starting which was important. They were always extremely professional and courteous and honest. I felt they truly tried to do the job in the cheapest but most efficient way. Les spent a few hours of his own time researching speakers and a receiver for me and ended up saving me hundreds of dollars on both at the same level of quality I was looking for. The total cost was higher then anticipated as it took longer due to the complexity of the infrastructure of our place but they didn't charge me in the end for an extra half-day of completing everything. In the end, the setup looks and sounds amazing. Les and John are true professionals who really care not only about the job they do but also that the customer is happy with the result. I would recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right.

Both visits went great. It took a lot longer than either they or I expected, but I was so glad I had the work done by pros rather than attempting it myself. They figured out how to set up everything so that I can use the TV speakers or the stereo speakers, and programmed the remotes to operate various components. Plus, I needed an additional cable and they had just what I needed on their truck, so they could complete the job without any delay.

Rich from Electronic Clinic, was wonderful to work with even though my boss is not. Rich handle himself in a most professional manner and would recommend him and this company to anyone in need of something to work on the home theater system.

Rich went the last mile. He went out of his way to be helpful and made sure that I knew what he was doing. He spent several hours getting my TV and stereo systems in order and performed superbly. One of his specialities is home theater; I would strongly recommend him for a home visit if you have any problems in this line, or any other electronics problems. He's very easy to work with and aims to please.
