We were really happy with the service that we received and we probably wouldn't have been able to find a nice place to move in to without her help.

We worked closely with two buyer's agents from Elaine Koch's team: Joseph ("J.") Myers and Lisa Hollaender. We were looking for an investment property in the Kentlands/Lakelands area of Gaithersburg or King's Farm in Rockville. Both J. and Lisa are extremely knowledgeable about these markets and very savvy negotiators; we started looking at properties in early December; in spite of this being a buyer's market, there were relatively few attractive properties on sale in our areas of interest, and those that were, got several bids in fairly quickly. Both J and Lisa were very pro-active, always available and very knowledgeable about market values, so that they were able to steer us away from overpriced properties and/or properties in areas with lower growth potential. Since this was an investment property, getting it at the right price was of paramount importance to us, and initially we "lost" 3 bids as the counteroffers came in above our reservation price. However, J and Lisa always told us to stick to our conservative price point, be patient and move on to a new search. Thanks to their pro-active approach and vast resource network, we were able to submit a bid on a very desirable townhome that had not yet officially come to the market!! The property is in excellent conditions and we were able to secure a very attractive price, significantly lower than the price of another, smaller and less attractive townhouse that was listed one block away on the same street. We successfully closed on March 15. Besides being great real estate professionals, both Lisa and J. are a pleasure to work with, very personable and friendly, and we would definitely recommend them as well as Elaine Koch's entire team to anyone looking to buy or sell a home in the area.
