received on-site estimate same day as first call, work was performed sooner than expected, I didn't realize at first that they had come while I was at work because they cleaned up everything so well

I contacted the company through and email on Angie's List. I received a response the same day. The owner of the company came out on Tuesday as promised and gave me an estimate. I also sought estimates from two other companies, one of which is unable to give me an estimate until 8/17. The estimate received from DNA was the lowest, I contacted Dave and authorized him to do the work onThursday 8/5/10. Friday 8/6/10 I returned home from getting the oil changed in my car and discovered the tree limbs removed, the tree trimmed and a second tree that had branches hanging over my roof was also trimmed. The area was cleaned so well, one could not tell that a tree had fallen in my backyard. I was very pleased with the work done. So pleased, I forgot to use my 10% discount coupon I printed off Angie's List!

Good. Knowledgeable. The job took quite a bit longer than expected - but it took place during the hottest week of the year.

I had called a few places. Dave was the first to show up and had a team available that day. Within an hour of our agreement, a team was in my backyard. Within another hour the tree was down, wood stored and remaining debree taken away. The team was very nice, professional, courteous and fast. With little time available to deal with household issues, it was a relief to have the tree handled so quickly, effeciently and reasonably priced.

Excellent. They called the next day. (Another company that I had called, did not call for another week.) They were in the neighborhood, so came out and did all of this work one day later. They had explained what they would do, and very responsive to questions. I actually never met Dave or the staff that did the work. All of this was discussed by phone while I was at work. Dave contacted me after the work was finished. Then, they mailed me a bill for the agreed upon rate. Although they did not grind the tree stump, "Dave" explained to me they did not do this because it could hurt the nearby flowers. Dave stated that if I wanted him to return to grind the stump, he would come and only charge a nominal fee.

The team was quick and professional. All of the work was done in a day, with absolutely no mess left in the yard. Dave has done work for use before. He's always done a quality job; you can trust Dave and his team.

Very responsive, easy to work with, and incredibly quick and punctual. We have more work to do after things start blooming and I'm looking forward to working with Dave and DNA again.

I initially called him for an evaluation of what to do about a large tree next to the house I had purchased. I had found that silver maples were prone to splitting and should not be build next to houses. I had a very large one which was within 10 feet of my house and 15 feet of my neighbors house. David suggested management options but the discovery of a crack on a second visit to inspect the tree made it clear removal was the right choice. I also had a dying plum in the front yard that I had initially planned to remove myself, but asked him to add that in. The crew got the trees down in one day and stacked the wood neatly at the curb. It was picked up in the morning of the next day just as the snow was beginning to fall. It was great to know the tree was down before the big storm hit. It was two months before I actually asked him to take down the tree from when I first called him. He evaluated the tree twice for me as I worked through the permitting process with the city. He helped with my submission to the city. He was very polite, prompt and tolerant of all of my delays in the process. His name is David Kull and I thank him for great service.

David gave me a very competitive price quote. It was significantly cheaper than the three other contractors I called. His workers were quick and very efficient. The tree and shrubs look fantastic.

Dave came to my home the same day and provided me with an estimate for the work that need to be done. Dave and his crew returned on Wednesday to thin out and prune the tree. Dave's crew was very thorough in cleaning up debris. Dave and his crew were professional, responsive and provided excellent service. I am impressed with the care and integrity with which they peformed their job. I would recommend them to others.

I chose them because they went the extra mile. They called me back frequently and asked if I would give them a job. Their prices were reasonable. They weren?t the highest bidder or the lowest bidder. They were very professional. They provided the invoice right away. The representative was very clear and to the point. A couple of other people that I called did not give the estimate but DNA gave me the estimate right away. They were very courteous on the phone. I felt they worked harder to get my business than any other company.

Follow up work done report: Took down 2 evergreens, 2 dogwoods and 1 bit tulip tree. They trimmed 1 Willow Oak and 1 Japanese Maple. They also grinded stumps of evergreens and removed all debris. Excellent from A to Z. They were very professional. Dave visited in mid October but I had two other offers and I also consulted an expert on the tulip tree (who confirmed Dave's diagnosis). The service was done in two days very professionally.

Superb workmanship and price. His bid was half the price of some bigger and better known tree companies.

I went to work, and when I came home everything was done!

They were professional and very nice. They provided a free and accurate estimate prior to the work done. The mulberry bushes they trimmed cannot be easily pulled out but they gave me advice on a product to get and apply that should kill them so that I could complete this project myself. They also answered several other questions I had regarding some of my shrubs. I would call them again.

Went great! Very straightforward and safe job. David was very prompt in visiting and getting back to me with a price quote. We negotiated somewhat regarding the wood removal, which we handled ourselves. Once a contract was signed, the job was scheduled for within two weeks and they showed up at precisely when he had promised. They worked promptly and safely and the workers were courteous. Their price was 40% below two other prices and I would not hesitate in recommending them or using them again myself.

They were very good. The estimate was in about the twenty five hundred dollar range. I decided not to go with DNA Tree Service, because there were competitors that were cheaper. I would consider using them in the future.

The job went very well. I have no complaints. They hauled as much as we agreed that they should. They cleaned up our yard and the crew was professional.

David Cull was responsive, professional, knowledgeable and he and his team did a great job. Timely and very professional, they cleaned up so well , it was like no one had been there but the yard looked great!

Everything went very well. The work was done as specified with no damage to anything, not even the nearby azaleas. They took away all the wood. The removal of one small tree was done for free. Best of all, I didn't need to be there, either for the estimate or for the work. There was excellent communication and explanation throughout the process.

It has been about 9 months and I already see a substantial improvement. Dave's crew has been here on numerous occasions doing various steps in the process. Dave has also provided other services over the years such as cleaning gutters and mowing the lawn on short notice when injury made it impossible for us to do it. He has always been promptly responsive and professional. I anticipate continuing using his services in the future to keep my yard in good condition.

Great! After they removed the limbs & debris (with a blower & tarp, nothing was left!) my yard was spotless. David is very good at explaining his recommendations and the work done was top-notch.

We set up lawn service with Dave Kull. They come about every 2 weeks (depending on whether grass needs to be cut or not), for $40 each time. They do a very nice job, and use blowers to blow out all the excess grass. The lawn looks great when they finish. We only have about a quarter acre, and they finish in about 15 minutes. The only thing I wish they did differently is bill by month or season, having to send in payment after each mowing isn't the best. But we are very happy with the service and will continue to use them.

Whenever we call Dave Kull to ask about services, he is super polite and professional. We are on "the schedule" for gutter cleaning twice a year. The cleaners often come out when we aren't home (it's nice not to have to be home for such services) and they just leave a bill. When we have been home while they clean the gutters, they complete the job quickly. They leave the gutters spotless, with no sign of leaves/other debris on the ground. We are very happy with this company.
