Dave was great. He returned my initial call promptly, and we discussed his coming out to give me an estimate. He stopped by the house first when I wasn't home (which was fine), and then willingly scheduled a time to come out a second time because I had follow-up questions. Both on the phone and in person, he answered all my questions, was very knowledgeable, explained clearly what he recommended doing and why, and when he came to the house the second time he gave me an estimate on the spot. At my request, he broke out one part because I couldn't decide whether I wanted 2 particular limbs trimmed or removed entirely. He also told me that if I wanted him to take off a smallish limb on a separate tree that otherwise wasn't being trimmed, there would be no additional cost, and I should just write it on the estimate if/when I sent it back with a deposit. His estimate was comparable in price to other estimates we received, if not a bit lower (everyone had a slightly different idea of what needed to be done, so it was a little hard to compare). We chose him because we felt most comfortable with him, his recommendations, and his explanation of why he made the recommendations he made. He called about a week after I mailed the deposit in and asked if he could come the next day. Since he said we didn't need to be home, the timing wasn't a problem. He showed up the next day with 3 other people, and they got right to work as I was leaving. They cleaned up everything when they finished, and hauled away all the branches/limbs. The trees look great, and he did everything we agreed on in the estimate. I highly recommend him.

I called + left a message on his website and he called me back within the hour. After we discussed the job, he called me shortly thereafter from his cell phone while walking around my property so we could discuss the trees. They were able to do the work right then -- cut down two trees, ground a stump, hauled away the wood. All on trust - it was done by the time I got home from work that day. After horrible experiences with some other tree services, it was a relief to see that some people still have a solid work ethic.

I got four quotes for my back yard tree removal. The oak was dead and leaning over, so I was concerned it might fall on my roof or the neighbor's roof during a storm or wind gusts. It required manual work to chop the tree in pieces by chainsaw as no other equipment could reach the back. DNA's price was the highest, and they recommended removing a second tree, and would not guarantee against damage to my fence. I selected another less expensive provider to do only what I wanted done, and who simply removed two sections of fence during the cutting to avoid any damage.

Dave always showed up when he said he would -- from coming to do the estimate to doing the work. He called quickly with the estimate, he and his crew worked very efficiently, and he kept me apprised of how the day was going. I plan to use his company on a regular basis now to keep my yard in consistently good shape.

The workers were punctual and did a nice, clean job.

They staff does a good job and they get the work done correctly. I like that they do pretty much anything you may need done. The workers are very down to earth as well.

They came out to begin the work immediately after sending in the signed contract and deposit. It was done in a jiffy- quickly, efficiently and they cleaned up completely the same day! They even cleaned up the yard beyond where they had left branches etc. They were wonderful! I would recommend them to anyone!

Competitively priced. Did a good clean up job. I was not at home when work was performed. I requested they call me so I could be home, but they never did.

Used DNA for all our tree work. David Kull is efficient, complete and has the expertise to handle challenging jobs. Very professional. He also has made first rate referrals for services outside his area of work.

Mr. Kull has always been prompt and reasonably priced doing superior work. I plan on using Mr. Kull and DNA Tree Service exclusively.

DNA Tree Service is one of the few companies that still uphold their customers' satisfaction with honest and excellent work while treating customers with respect. These are definite characteristics of a business who wants to keep their customers for years, and not just for one time. We highly recommended him.

In addition to performing significant tree removal, DNA Tree Service did an excellent job cleaning fallen branches and leaves around the perimeter of our home after a major storm. They were committed to helping us and we enjoyed working with them from beginning to end.

It went great. This was routine, scheduled service at two houses. DNA was timely, clean, and reasonably priced. In he past they have provided special services such as tree removal after storms, and that was a great experience as well.

Stay away from this guy. He sounds nice on the phone, but is a terrible businessman. THE WORST!

It was a pleasure working with this company. Responsive. Great clean-up. Very knowledgeable. I would recommend this company to anyone who asked me about tree removal/trimming, etc.

The work was done promptly and efficiently, and it did not take long from the date of his evaluation until the day he was able to complete the work. The equipment did leave large tracks/divots in the yard that I wish he would fill in as part of the service. Also, be sure to look for the coupons on his website-- he did not mention them, but when we asked, he honored the advertised deal, and the coupon saved us 10%.

I have used mr Dave for over 5 years to clean gutters nad to remove trees. Including 2 stubborn Holly trees, to the ground stump. However, during a recent gutter cleaning the workers knocked off one of my gutter pipes and I asked that they reattach it. When they put it back they failed to put both screws in and I warned that I thought it was pretty precarious. Unfortunately a month later , it did indeed fall down again. I called and asked that they come out and replace the pipe as soon as possible. mr. Dave left me a message a week later and promised that he would get someone over to put the gutter back. I returned his call, thanked him and told him I understood there were a lot of storms in the area, I would be travelling, but just come in to the yard and put it up. Four weeks past and I did not hear from Mr. Dave, nor did anyone come to replace my gutter. When I returned from my trip, I left a very stern and disappointed message regarding the failure. Mr. Dave left me a message that included the following information 1) they had been very busy, 2) he had been gone 2 weeks, 3) the gutter was probably loose anyway, 4) you probably already got someone to put it back. When I heard the message I was even more disappointed... somehow there seemed to be a disconnect. Mr. Dave did not apologize, he only explained, and his explanation saddled the bulk of the blame on me, nature and coincidence. I called back and expressed my disappointment again and ended by stating that I did not appreciate the treatment of an otherwise loyal customer. A simple phone message indicatng it was not going to get done as promised, or that he had to go out of town for two weeks and he would not be directing anyone else to do it, either would have been acceptable notice. BUT he did nothing until I called angain angry, and then he proceeded to tell me why I had no right to be angry, and he was going to cut off my year round gutter service as well, effective immediately. WOW.... so I suppose if I had just not said anything and simply found someone else to do it I would not be punished. As I think about it now, I suppose if I had just offered to pay for the reattachment, it would have gotten done. The underlying tone of his final communication with me was that he had a lot of other work and he did not need mine. I am very saddened by these events. It is unfortunate that longtime customers do not warrant the same respect and attention as new $$$$. If he had jsut told me he needed me to pay for services inorder for him to keep his promise to correct, I would have.I will miss DNA.

I had used DNA Tree Service a few years ago and was very pleased so when a tree limb was damaged during one of the recent storms, I gave them a call. Dave Kull promptly came to my house and estimated the work required (this included the removal of two pine trees as well). We mutually agreed, because my damaged limb wouldn't cause any damage if it fell, that they would take care of more urgent work first. Dave was very good about keeping me informed of when they would be able to come out to the house. Dave is professional, knows his business and does good work. The cost was very fair considering the nasty stories I heard from co-workers about price gouging after the storms. He doesn't try to sell work that isn't needed. In fact, he was very upfront with me when I asked for work that he didn't think needed to be done. I really appreciate that kind of honesty.

The service they gave was excellent. They were very careful. They cleaned everything. They came when they said they would. The person who came here went through everything ahead of me. He answered all my questions and took the time to look at all the trees. He gave me a lot of suggestions, and he was not pushy at all. Overall, I had a very good experience with them.

Dave had done a couple of estimates for me, but I was not able to give him the go-ahead until late July. That was right after one our fierce summer storms and DNA was fully booked. However, he was able to get to me within ten days. When the crew arrived they went straight to work and did an excellent job. They were professional, polite, and efficient. Dave came back in a couple of days to grind the stumps. The job went very well.

I selected DNA Tree Service because of their high Angie's List rating. I was not disappointed. After the recent major thunderstorm, I noticed several branches in my front yard that were in danger of falling. Amazingly, Mr. Kull, the owner of DNA tree service, stopped by to look at my situation the same day I called. I paid a 10% deposit, though I would have to wait for my turn for service, given all of the work this storm generated for DNA. When the DNA crew arrived less than two weeks later, they were extremely efficient and professional. The offending limbs were handled in short order, and after the DNA crew's cleanup, my front yard looked better than it did before they arrived. I am completely satisfied with their work and I would definitely use them again.
