The tech inspected the bedrooms and bath served by the intermittant circuits installed during a recent renovation. After testing the GFI outlets in the bathroom, he identified several items plugged in elsewhere that could have served false triggers to the arcfault breakers. Based on his finding that there was adequate protection in the bathroom and that we were unwilling to more the affected equipment it became evident to me that we needed to revert to regular breakers in the box. He did the work without delay, checked to ensure that all was as expected in the affected rooms and prepared the bill. I got a legible copy of the invoice and a copy of the cc charge slip and he went on his way.

Great experience from the appointment to the installation. The technician (Alan) was very helpful in creating an effective lighting plan for a very dark kitchen. He was patient with me as we worked through the right placement. I will be bringing him back to do some additional work in another room.

They do excellent work at a decent price. They are very easy to work with because (1) you can always get someone on the telephone, (2) they have multiple good electricians who they can turn to, and (3) they are very punctual and professional. i give them very high marks. While I've worked with other good electricians, they have become my go-to company for electrical work.

I have had them out a couple of times and they were very good. The price was reasonable. They were responsive, they came on time, and they were pleasant to deal with. They followed up afterwards to make sure the service was good so that was very positive.

I called, described the problem and was told what may be the problem and given a basic estimate, that is, the hourly rate, over the phone with the understanding that it could be more if the problem entailed more work. The electrician arrived during the early part of the time frame which I appreciated. He was professional, courteous and did good work. I would definitely use them again.

I was originally provided an approximate start time of 8am-12pm, and on the day of service, the CET electrician called shortly after 8am to communicate his expected arrival time. He showed up exactly as communicated and efficiently planned out and completed the work. He was professional and answered all questions along the way. The end result was exactly what we had discussed and it now looks great. I would recommend CET to anyone looking for help with electrical projects.
CET does not perform drywall patchwork. This was made clear ahead of time so was not a surprise, but it would be nice if CET could partner with another painting company to provide a complete solution.

Very professional. I call at night, got the answering service, and a call from the owner shortly thereafter. He asked me some diagnostic questions and suggested a couple of fixes to save a service call if possible. Those were ruled out, tech came the next day on time. Did his job quickly and was very polite. Price was reasonable.

I bought a "big deal" to help pay for this work. The same tech who worked for me previously did the job. He was running late, and called to let me know. He showed up with ROMEX line, which surprised me because I live in a high rise, and all the other wired is armored cable. He assured me it was to code, so I let him go ahead with the job.
Everything went smoothly, except that I had to help the tech by feeding him wire. I was surprised that there weren't 2 people sent to do this. He also had to borrow some of my tools. For these reasons I downgraded them on professionalism. However, this also reduced the amount of labor, and the price.
The most important thing is the outlets work. So overall I was pleased with the outcome, and the price was right.

Three of my outlets along one wall between my dining room and kitchen stopped working. I had attempted to use a tester to see what the issue was and had tried hitting the reset button on my GFCI several times. The breaker wasn't tripped so I couldn't figure out what the issue was. I called Certified Electrical Technologies and they said they could try to provide a free estimate over the phone. But based on my description of what the issue was, he couldn't provide a good estimate, so he scheduled me for their next available timeslot from 10-2. I got a call at 10:45 from the electrician who said he'd be at my place in 15-20 mins and he arrived at 11 to solve my issue.

I had to have a circuit breaker replaced do to it popping every time we
ran the dryer. Since they bill hourly and the work they needed to do
took five minutes the electrician did a once over of my entire house.
Their theory, if you pay for an hour then you should be entitled to the
entire hour. I had no objections! He found 3 other faults and
corrected them at no additional cost because like i said they charge by
the hour and the work was done within that hour. Amazing service.
Highly recommended.

There was overwhelming response to this offer and it took a while to book a time. Once I did though, everything was smooth sailing. The electrician was prompt and courteous. When I showed him the problem, he acknowledged the need and went straight to work. He put in a junction box and buttoned all the wires to the joists. It was a very professional and clean job! Once he was done up in the attic, I had him take a look at at very loose, basically unattached, junction box for the bathroom sink GFCI outlet. Again, it was a very unsafe situation and I had tried several times to take care of the problem. He indicated that he had a trick that might work and sure enough, it did! Finally, I had him look at my main breaker box in the basement as there are a lot of issues there. Unfortunately, we were at the end of the time and he said that he wished he had started there due to the number of items he saw. He recommended another two hours to perform a complete rewiring of the box. We settled up for the time he spent and I plan to follow up with the breaker box work. Within two days, I received a 15% off coupon in the mail from Certified with a nice note thanking me for my business. All in all a great experience and I recommend Certified Electrical Technologies.

"We make it very clear at the time of scheduling and before any installation, we do not patch or paint if holes are required. We advise our clients to find soemone on AL who is proficient with patching and painting. We are not proficient in these trades and cannot perform the work up to our standards."

Some of the lights in the house went out as if a breaker was tripped. After checking the breaker box and not finding a tripped breaker we figured there must be a loose wire. We called called EXCEL Electrical. EXCEL was one of the highest ranked on Angie's List and was currently on one of the "Big Deals." We were a bit concerned how the prepayment to Angie's List may complicate the payment process once the electrician was on site. It was no problem because the electrician (George) was completely aware of the prearranged payment process.
We called and left a message to be called regarding the situation. Our call was returned promptly and a date and time was set for the work to be done. The electrician showed up right on time. George was courteous and profressional. He arrived ready to work and had the right tools readily available to him. After a few minutes of troubleshooting, George found the problem and resolved it. Because we had more time remaining. He asked if we had any other electrical needs.
George had noticed we had a dimmer switch we had on the counter and without prompting asked away if we wanted it installed. He installed the dimmer and then we asked that he change one wire in the breaker box as we were advised to do during the original house inspection. George moved the wires to the correct the problem which brought the breaker box up to code.
We were impressed with the work and with this company's professionalism. George was completely aware of how the Angie's List "Big Deal" worked so there was no question of the payment arrangement. We had already paid Angie's List and we had prearranged payment over the phone using the provided code provided my Angie"s List.

They came out to put in a ceiling fan and suggested some light fixtures for me. The switch they put in is very efficient. I am enjoying the lights they provided, notwithstanding my expectations that the work on the drywall holes would be so extensive.

Everything went smoothly. I called and described the service that I needed. I received an approx. estimate over the phone (a range, depending on what they saw when they got here). I scheduled an appointment and received a reminder postcard in the mail. The electrician arrived on time (calling ahead to let me know exactly when he would be there). After assessing the situation his price estimate turned out to be slightly lower than what was quoted over the phone. He installed the 2 ceiling light fixtures in about 3 hours. Since there was no pre-existing wiring or fixtures, the electrician had to create holes through the attic and put in the wiring. There was nothing to repair afterwards. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my experience.

The electrician did a good job, but after he left, I found lots of pieces of wire, and other small debris where he was working: in our powder room sink, on the floor, etc.
