CAMELOT FLOORING

This is a not a review, it is a warning - do not hire Camelor Floors.  We hired them because they gave us the best price among the four contractors who gave us estimates.  The old adage "you get what you pay for" was certainly true here.  However, by the time we got done with the add ons, I'm not sure we didn't end up spending more.  Raymondo and his crew generally started on time, though the job took a few days longer than promised.  Punctuality wasn't the issue.  Quality was.  Our floors had a wavy quality to the finish throughout the house.  When we pointed out the issue, he claimed it was unavoidable.  Just over a year later the finish is coming up in places, and fading in other spots.  We had another flooring contractor in who said it was easy to see the original contractor either didn't apply enough coats, used poor quality materials or both.  Although we asked him to secure the subfloor in the attic with screws when he replaced the carpet and pad, he did it with nails.  When asked why he didn't do what we asked, he replied it was faster with nails.  And now our carpeted floor squeeks and bounces.  When we pointed out the issues at the time of the job, all he would do was offer to prove that the defects were not his fault.  Terrible, never again.
