Mike came out on time, along with an apprentice. Mike was very nice and explained what he would be doing, and about how long it would take. They got done on time and the unit was tested. No mess at all left behind. Worked perfectly. Mike went through the process of explaining to me that once the power went out, what I needed to do to get the generator working and power back on. The cost was $3220, but $425 of that was for the county for the inspection permit and fee. So, for all the work that was done and the fact that I have added a little value to my home, the cost seems fair. BTW, the county inspector came out the following week to verify that it was done properly. As soon as I told him that Boyland Electric did the work, he said, "they're good, I've never had any issues with their work." So, that was very reassuring to hear. I will use this company again should I need additional work. Now I'm just praying for my power to go out so I can use my generator! LOL

Boyland Electric installed a Generac generator in Septmeber 2020. They did an exceptional job. They dealt with a number of complications, including delays caused by the the Washington Gas contractor in upgrading the gas meter, in a highly professional and responsive manner. First-rate job in all respects.

This review is long, long overdue. When I needed to purchase a generator, I reached out to Boyland Electric and found their estimate to be the best. From the start of the process to the end, I had no trouble. Everyone from the front office staff, to the installers, and the technicians who come out for maintenance, is (and always has been) friendly, professional, and thorough. I've expressed concerns and had them reassuringly addressed and even shared laughs with them. At one point I drove out to the office to return paperwork and had a chance to meet the office staff in person. They were just as wonderful (as expected) in person even though I had shown up unannounced with no appointment. When the installers came, they were respectful of my home and my neighbors (despite Ellie, my neighbor's dog who kept barking and threatening to jump the fence). The install went smoothly and they did an amazing job cleaning up after themselves. Naturally I decided to have them provide the maintenance for my generator and they do so at a fair price (I checked around). Last year due to a scheduling conflict (of my own making), they had to make several attempts to come out and complete the inspection and they were very nice and patient about the confusion I had caused. I've had no issues with my generator what so ever and I will be reaching out to them again for some electrical work in the near future. I only wish that I could use them for everything else that needs repair around my home.

Boyland had been recommended by a friend and they were right. Doug, Katy and Linda were extremely helpful in coordinating the required inspections and accommodating our schedule to get our generator installed. We would definitely recommend Boyland if you are interested in purchasing a generator.

We originally needed a repair done to the generator and these folks came highly recommended by Kohler. They came out, recognized what was going on and fixed it very quickly. More importantly, we since have hired them to do regular maintenance to avoid having downtime. They've been timely and there's little else to report because we haven't had a problem since.

In January 2018, we contacted Boyland at the recommendation of Generac to repair our 30K Liquid cooled generator. We tried to have another company fix it (a big name company that advertises a lot on TV) but it turned out that the other company could not fix it. We contacted Boyland and they came out right away, diagnosed the problem and discovered a problem caused by the other company and fixed that too. Boyland provided responsive and high quality work. We were so pleased with them that we have now gotten a maintenance contract with them.

I thought the price was really reasonable for what I needed. The service was excellent. The man who came out and gave us an estimate explained the whole world of generators to me. He sat here with us and helped me make a thoughtful decision on the size I would need. Everything went smoothly, dates and times. They coordinated the inspectors. Everything went smoothly. The workers were respectful. They had to take out part of my pantry to get with the panel to make panel. They cleaned up very nicely. They asked my opinions all the way through.They showed me what they were doing. It was absolutely an "A",

Recently contracted Boyland to install a 22KW whole house generator and want to take this opportunity to say that I have been very impressed by the professionalism of the whole Boyland team. That starts with Doug himself, with his office on wheels and the comprehensive instantaneous quote he generated at the conclusion of his initial visit, the conscientious and careful way that the staff installed the generator, ran the required wiring underground and then restored everything so well that it is hard to tell that they were ever here, the charming and ever helpful Katy and Linda in the office, the efficient arranging of all the permits and inspections etc. That on top of a competitive price and the 10 year “bumper to bumper” warranty.

I don't have enough good things to say about Boyland. They are the most responsive company I've worked with in a long time. They're pricing is incredibly competitive. Out of three estimates, they were by far the lowest and had the best customer service. You can tell they take their work seriously and value their customers. When Mr. Boyland came to my house to do the estimate, he took his time and explained everything in easy to understand language. He gave me estimates on different sized generators and didn't try pushing the more expensive option. He was open and honest about all of the pros and cons of each choice.
I had a whole home generator installed. The work is flawless and they kept me in the loop throughout the install. I had them back out to do some other minor electrical work because I was so pleased. I'd highly recommend Boyland to any of my friends.

Went really well! Post-installation service has been fantastic too. Boyland even came out twice to fix something that may have been a faulty heating unit and not related to the generator at all, just in case. Really great!

I have been a Boyland customer since 2014. I am very pleased with the level of customer service and care Boyland Electric provides!
I was scheduled for a routine maintenance inspection and the tech arrived on time to service my unit. While the tech was working I noticed that he took special care when checking the unit and refilling the fluids to ensure there was no spillage. The tech wiped down the interior and exterior of the unit to ensure all surfaces were clean and dry and he thoroughly checked everything to ensure the unit was working properly. Before the tech left, he asked if I had any questions or concerns that he could address. I did not have any questions or concerns. The tech did an excellent job. I trust that Boyland will maintain my generator.
In addition, I would like to add that the office staff and the owner of the company provided outstanding customer service in helping me with my purchase of the generation. I will recommend Boyland Electric to my family and friends.

After assessing that the rotor needed to be replaced the order was placed. Unfortunately for Boyland, it took quite a bit of
time for the part to arrive. The staff at Boyland where very pleasant and made every effort to get the part to us before that big
snow fall in January. Gavin is a wonderful technician and worked very hard to get the part replaced - it was not an easy job as the rotor was apparently fused to the unit. I will continue to use Boyland to service our generator in the future. It should be noted that
Boyland worked with Generac to get us money back for the deficient part, that was very good of them.
I will recommend Boyland to neighbors and friends.

"First of all I want to apologize for any miscommunication that we may had with you. Buy me reading your issues with use I have determined that you must have us confused with another contractor you may have had out before us. Our tech was on your place on 2/17/2016 and he did arrive in his designated window of 9 to 11am. He may have got there closer to 11am and I'm Very Sorry for this and him not calling, that's not like Gavin. The total invoice for the work he performed was $917.82, not $3000.00! For this reason I can only assume you have confues us with someone else but I'm VERY sorry for our mishap and hope you will still use us and we base 95% of our work on referrals. We are far from perfect and strive everyday to make customers happy. Best regards Doug"
