About us

Aegis Technologies is a custom home electronics installer and integrator. We are experts in the fields of: home theater, home audio, home video, home automation, lighting control, security, phone systems, and structured wiring. Our company has 15 employees, and all work is done in house (no subcontractors). Pricing can be based on a fixed fee for service or based on actual time and materials used on a job (depending on job type and customer preference). Aegis Technologies races a sailboat in Annapolis. Sailing is a great activity for building teamwork, and of course it's just plain fun!

The tech came right on time when promised.  The replacement system was completed in about 5 hours.  He provided complete instruction in all aspects of the operation.  He was very patient making sure I was completely aware and comfortable using the system before he departed.

We originally paid Aegis ~$1500 to purchase and program two remotes.  They worked fine for a year, but when we changed set top boxes from Verizon, they charged us ~$1500 to reprogram for the new set top box.  That was as much as we originally paid to purchase and program them. They completely reset the remotes to factory settings, reprogrammed them, and charged by the hour to do it.  They had to come back three time to fix problems!  Looked to me like a make work program.  I would have made the changes myself, except that the software necessary to make the changes is not available. I will never own a remote that I can't program myself.    If I need to make another change, I will purchase two new remotes that I can program, and program them myself!  
  • I will never use Aegis Technologies again!
