Robert Busby was courteous from "Hello" when I called him. He responded immediately and showed up within the time frame he stated. Mr. Busby is very cordial and personable. Got right to work and didn't mind me watching while he worked. It was comforting to know he is local and have been in the business for more than 30 years. Mr. Busby knows his craft and does it professionally; quality work. His rate is commensurate to the results. Excellent service, superb craftsmanship, and an honest businessman! I support small businesses. I would call him for future locksmith needs.

Mr Busby was professional, prompt and polite and worked with me to ensure I got the best deal and best possible price in my situation. I do need to make sure my Angie’s List coupon and services were charged properly but that’s just me making sure after I write review. Should have done that first (!) but I’m almost positive he did billing properly. My math skills aren’t the best I’m sure if I find any problem it will be taken care of promptly if I contact him

The work was done professionally and the craftsmanship was good. My only issue was that the price was not communicated clearly up front. We were quoted a price for several locks only to find that the price was doubled when the locksmith showed up on site. He explained that he is charging not only for the lock, but also for the latch side of the door. Due to the urgency and the time already spent coordinating the replacements, we decided to proceed with the new higher price. I dont know if this was a simple accident or a price gouging technique but it didnt feel good.

He responded immediately to our call. Came the next day, exactly as scheduled. He had all of the parts he needed, installed them quickly. He fixed a problem we've had with one of the doors for a number of years, and didn't charge us extra.

Robert was very responsive and arrived at our house within an hour of our first call to him.  He stayed for several hours working on our locks.   He had to leave later in the day and he returned the next morning to complete the installation of the new locks.  He was very polite, punctual, and capable.  He did exactly what we had asked him to do - get all our locks operable.  He did not suggest more extensive, expensive and unnecessary fixes as had another provider that had come earlier to appraise the job.  He spent several hours at our house on our job and supplied some new bolts and locks.  We felt that his price was fair.  We would definitely call him again if the need should arise.

The home I recently purchased had four exterior doors; and each door had a different key.  I wanted to replace the old hardware with high quality Emtek locks and have 1 key open all the doors.  Another locksmith provided an estimate of $2,200 for the hardware and installation.  Instead, I purchased the Emtek locks online and hired Robert Busby from Academy Locksmith to install the hardware.  The cost of the Emtek hardware was about $600; and Robert Busby charged $660 for the installation.  The work was done in a timely and professional manner.
