There were many problems with the quality of the work, and the contractor\'s attempts to cut corners and costs at every turn made the problems worse. The cabinets were delivered in flat boxes and had to be assembled on site. In the process one of the base cabinets and one of the wall cabinets were damaged. Two months later the damaged pieces have not been replaced (There is a big hole in our kitchen cabinetry) and the contractor is not returning calls or emails. After contacting a cabinet vendor I found out that replacement parts are not even available, so the contractor was lying all along claiming that they were being shipped. Now if I want to fix my cabinets it will cost me at least $200 for the replacement cabinet, not incl. labor. They also mismeasured the space for the refrigerator, and had to cut down the refrigerator panel, resulting in damage to the filler piece over the frig.
The worst part of the experience was the shoddy, dangerous and illegal wiring installed in the kitchen and bathroom by 3Ds electrician. After calling him back in because of the suspect work, he acted as if he fixed the problem and assured me everything was fine, even though he did nothing to correct the ungrounded circuits and wire junctions buried in the wall without junction boxes. No GFI outlets were used even though they are required and were promised. 3D took no responsibility for the problem
and I ended up having to pay $1,000 to a legitimate electrician to fix the shoddy work done by 3D. I have attempted to get reimbursed for the cost of fixing this problem but have received only excuses and ignored calls/emails.
Recurring problems with the contractor's quality control, workmanship and integrity plagued this renovation job and ended
up costing me more that what I would have saved by selecting the lowest price offer.
