Excellent service just excellent. These guys loaded up there truck and no time flat with pretty much the entire house full of furniture couches dressers and tables and bags of trash. I would use them again without hesitation. The scheduling online was easy and the company was very responsive. Easy to see why they're number one in this business.

Horrible, Horrible, HORRIBLE!!! When the guys got here, they quoted me a price double what was stated on the website. I could have accepted 10-25% increase but not double. This is called bait and switch. I had furniture being delivered the next day so I had to pay. AND, the idiots who came had a ton of mud on their shoes. They just walked in and didn't care that they had dumped several pounds (yes, pounds) of mud on my carpet. They didn't try to clean off their shoes before they entered, What idiots. And they must have acquired the mud on a previous job and didn't notice. What IDIOTS!!!

Cleaning out a house with 25 years of stuff in it. Had lots of paper, magazines, and junk. Prompt same day service. Both workers were polite, professional and fast. Filled half the truck. It just cost too much.

We loved that you could schedule online. Day we scheduled was 7/19/15. We got a prompt call at 900 and were told they would be here at 1030. They came and gave us an estimate and stated they could not do it now but would call us later in the evening to schedule. We did not receive a call from anyone that evening. We called the next day 7/20/15 around 1000 after not hearing about a pickup time. We were contacted by someone else and they said they would call us back after looking at the day's schedule. After no returned call we called customer service back around 430. We spoke to two more people and they eventually made it right by having someone out to the house by 530. It took three guys about an hour. It was a lot of work on one of the hottest days. They were very polite and professional. It was a lot of heavy lifting and we let them borrow our wheelbarrow to make it easier. The price was at the highest end of the quote but it was worth it. They did it so fast because it was three strong guys. It would have taken us a couple days or more to do so it was worth it. Overall we would contact them again. We had some communication issues but since it was resolved I am happy and things happen so Iwould not hold it against them.

They were told in advance of the scope of the work, and promised an early arrival with an empty truck.  Instead they arrived about 2PM with a 1/2 full truck.  They ran out of time and space on the truck and had to reschedule a folow-up delivery the folowing day.  For the follow up, I had to argue with the driver and headquarters office about the final price because they wanted to charge me their standard pickup rate instead of what I would have been charged if they had done it all in one trip as was originally promised.
Second MAJOR problem is that they damaged a wall and doorframe in the move.  It wasn't discovered until the morning after the first move, and immediately reported.  I was assured it would be taken care of.  The short version of the story is that after months of delays and little or no response from them, one of the Vice Presidents explained their "policy".  The way it was expained to me was that if the damage was not reported by the crew while they were at the job, the company does not accept responsibility.  Damage reported later is up to the crew members to acknowledge, and the crew members are personally responsible for paying for it.  That policy is certainly not customer friendly.
In the meantime, I have contacted the credit company to stop payment.  Hepofully I can recover the amount of their bill which will cover most of the cost of repair.

I needed an old couch, a chair, an old but still working TV and a
desktop computer. I really liked the prompt response! I do like the way
that 1-800-GotJunk gives you the option of hiring them or not. You
show them what needs to go, they look it over and show you the
charge(s). At this point you can say yes or no. I said yes even though
the price was a bit steep. In fairness though, the three men showed up
on time, they knew what they were doing, and they managed to remove
some very bulky items without putting so much as a mark on my walls or
door. Some of these items needed to be moved downstairs too!
1800GotJunk also took all that stuff up to the County Transfer Station.
Would I used this provider again? Perhaps, but I would probably shop
around first for a better price.

Extremely well. I booked an appointment at 3:30 via the web and immediately received a confirmation email. At approximately 4 pm I received a call and they arrived at 4:30. They gave me a quote upfront and removed all of the items quickly except the sofa.


The sofa would not fit through the door because we had a new door installed since bringing in the sofa. The crew could not

disassemble the sofa because they did not have the right tools. However, I was given another appointment for the following day.

The next day the sofa was dismantled and removed promptly.


All of the staff were courteous and professional and very willing to answer questions and discuss any issues.

We loved the two young men that provided our services, they were so polite and represented the company so well. We were on a tight schedule and they showed up 4 hours after we booked the appointment.....that is very rare to find in todays world. They do not use landfills so we loved their "going green" edge, we would highly recommend 1-800-GOT-JUNK? to others.

I loved it. They took anything and everything. They didn't question it. We put it all in one spot. It was absolutely incredible. It was amazing. Some of it was furniture including chairs and bookcases. They did it quickly, nicely and neatly to the best of their ability. It was stress-free.

Great customer service via the 800 number. Easy to cancel if I had needed to. My time window was 1-3pm and they arrived by 1:45 completed the job by 2:30pm. I will say It felt a bit like haggling for the price. I was first quoted $598 but they came down to $400 all in for the load. I had initially budgeted $250, but had neglected to account for the added weight the logs. I felt that this price was fair. In general good service, friendly staff, they did the job asked of them in a timely manor.

Setting up an appointment was extremely easy via the 1-800-GOT-JUNK website. We easily got next-day service.
When the 2-man crew arrived, the showed me a concise and clear statement showing how the haul would be priced with respect to how the truck was filled -- full, half, etc ...
The crew was professional and courteous; they did a great job of working around another crew that was beginning work on finishing our basement. They performed the job efficiently, cleanly, and with no muss or fuss.
The only thing that seemed strange was that they would not take our latex-based paint cans. In Fairfax County, latex based paints may be disposed of in regular trash, so I'm not sure what the issue was -- it must have been specific to 1-800-GOT-JUNK.
All in all, no complaints -- they did a great job.

While their employees were nice and professional and they hauled most of the debris we asked them too there was property damage done to our fence by their truck and the manager has been unresponsive to our inquiries.
Our driveway and backyard is in a narrow alley, and while they were backing up they hit a steel pole that is attached to part of our fence. The cap on the pole fell and broke, which they did hammer back together and replace. After they left I went to further adjust the cap because it was now loose, and discovered that our fence was now separated from our post due to the pressure of their large truck pushing it. The fence, posts and driveway are less than 8 months old. I called and was told the manager was out and to email him. I emailed explaining the circumstances and that I was merely inquiring about their policy on property damage if we could not repair ourselves. I got an initial response saying he was sorry it happened and would talk to the guys. It's been almost a month and I have gotten no response. It's too bad because we are doing a lot of remodeling and could use them again, but it's just not worth their causing property damage and not being responsive when there is a problem.

It was a very good experience. The crew came on time, were friendly and helpful, and worked quickly. They were very careful in moving some large and heavy pieces down two flights of narrow stairs. They did not make a single mark on the walls or floors. There was one small electronic piece which they forgot to load onto the truck. We called and they came back the next day and picked it up from the yard where they had left it.

I made an appointment on the 1-800-Got-Junk website to pick up the bags of construction debris/ trash between 3:30 - 5:30 pm and I immediately received an email confirming the appointment time for the next day. On the day of the pick-up around 3:15 pm, the driver called and stated that his arrival would be closer to 4:20 pm since he was still at another pick-up site. After 5:00 pm the driver called and said he would be on his way, but the pick-up time would be closer to 5:30 pm if I still wanted the pick-up. I agreed and noted to him that he should drive in the alley in order to pick-up the bags. At 5:30 pm the driver called looking for the correct alley/address which I provided. After a couple additional back-and-forth phone calls with directions, the driver arrived (closer to 6:00 pm). The courteous driver quoted me a price of just over $700 since the bags contained construction debris Even though the number of bags and trash was not a full truck load, he stated that the higher price was due to the construction debris and not the amount (the bags were not stuffed too heavy since I had to carry each of them from the house myself to the back yard). However, the driver gave me an Angie's List discount (yea!), a next day discount, and a couple more discounts to lower the price.
After the price was agreed upon, I wrote the check. The driver and a helper loaded all the bags and trash into the truck in less than 10 minutes. Amazingly fast !
I gave them an and quot;fairand quot; score of and quot;Cand quot; for price since their website did not indicate the higher charge for construction debris (a surprise) and for punctuality since they arrived and finished after the scheduled appointment time (I had other plans at 6 pm that day). However, due to their professionalism and responsiveness in providing me updates on their arrival status, I would use them again.

I made the appointment on-line which was easy and I was able to schedule earlier than I expected (could have been same day). I received an e-mail confimation of my appointment within minutes. I was called the day before pick-up by a manager to make sure I still wanted their service. I was told someone would call about 9:30 to confirm what time between 10 and 12 they would arrive on Aug 15. On Aug 15, Kim and Matt showed up early after calling to insure that coming early was okay. Both individuals were well mannered, clean and professional. Kim gave me an estimate of the finished work which was exactly what he said and very reasonable. I received a $10 discount for making the appointment on line.They performed the work which included several very heavy items (one that required carrying a huge 1984 vintage TV down from the loft). They were finished in 30 minutes. I definitely would recommend this company to my friends!
