1. I called for an estimator to come look at the work to be performed. They sent a representative who arrived on time. He wrote a proposal and promptly emailed it to me. Immediately I printed the proposal, signed it, scanned it into my computer, and emailed it back to Hometown with a request that they coordinate the scheduling of the work. 2. A week after I made the purchase, I went out of town for a week. 3. After I returned from my trip, I initiated a Monday morning phone call to schedule the work. 4. Instead of returning my call, they sent me an email telling me they would come the next day, which is a Tuesday. It was after 7 pm before I checked my email. I sent them an email requesting a phone call before coming because I had a commitment Tuesday morning. 5. They called early Tuesday morning. We agreed they would come after 1:30 pm. 6. Around 3:30 or 4:00 pm I received a phone call canceling a meeting that night. The caller ask if I received his email. I logged into my email to read his email and found the Hometown email telling that they couldn't come that afternoon but will come the next day. 7. Since I had plans to visit my grandkids the next day, I called Hometown immediately. I explained that I will not be available the next day. I told them if they wanted to perform exactly the 4 man-hours purchased they could come the next day. The proposal was very detailed on what trees were to be serviced and the order to be serviced. 8. The work performed looks very good. I am satisfied. 9. One neighbor stated that the workers had trouble throwing the lines into the tree. I cannot prove or disapprove this statement. 10. My rating is based on the method of scheduling. They should have used the phone instead of email. I don't check email until evenings. Important conversations and appointments are made via phone.

I called to schedule the appointment and the person on the phone were surprised that the deal was offered to Annapolis. I spoke them once and left a message about mid September but have not heard back. They were trying to decide if they would do the service.

Took 3 hours with 4 workman. Very professiomal job. Cleaned up after work.

Did a wonderful job, our house has never looked so good, you can actually see it now, it was quite shaded before but now equal light exposure and still enough shade from the direct sun. Took great care to clean up afterwards.

They did a great job. Took care not to damage surrounding fixtures and they were polite and professional.

It came out good. They got the job done but it was hard to schedule a time to get them to do the work. It took about four weeks to get a schedule to get it done but it wasn't a timely issue that I needed it.

I had some dead tree limbs hanging over my patio which I didn't like so I called Hometown for an estimate. John arrived a few days later to give me a free estimate. I had hired Hometown one time in the past to design and build my patio and I really liked their level of service and quality. He was very knowledgeable on the type of tree and what needed to be done. He quoted me $600 for the limb trimming and said to call his office if I was interested in having the work done. I made an appointment for the next weekend. His workers showed up on time and completed the work very quickly. The best part was the actual cost came in under his quote! I am very pleased with their service and will use them again in the future.

They did a great job. They were very professional and thorough. John made sure to let us know exactly what they would be able to do in the time allotted with the deal we purchased, so that we would not be surprised. They did exactly what they said they would do and cleaned up afterwards. I thought it was a little unprofessional that the estimator critiqued the work I was having done installing a patio and said I overpaid. I've had a lot of contractors around our house this year --- some do this (critique others' work) and some don't. I prefer the ones that don't.

I had a coupon that was for 4 men, 1 hour of landscaping work for $223. When I first had the estimate, the company thought it might be two hours of work. So I agreed to double the coupon cost if necessary. When the crew arrived, we went over what was to be done, and they started the work immediately. Instead of 2 hours, this fast and efficient crew were done in one hour. Everyone cleaned up, and carried away the branches, and sticks to the truck which ground up the debris. They raked the yard and left no trace of any thing, except a job well done. When my neighbor saw their work, they requested to have a few more branches removed from their poplar tree that was growing into our yard. Great job.

They did a fantastic job! We had to wait a bit to get scheduled because they were very busy but once they came we were very pleased with the results. We will definitely use them again.

After a few communication mishaps all went well. Would use again.

The work went fine, although they had to take a break when one of their saws broke down. They removed all the debris including the entire tree that was felled. All the employees were respectful and pleasant.

Overall, I could not have asked for better service. Jeff came out and did an estimate for me. He was on time and knew what he was talking about. We agreed on the scope of work and how I wanted the trees trimmed. I just wanted them lightly trimmed and thinned out, and one that was too close to the house cut back from the roof. I also explained that I had had a bad experience with a previous tree trimming service and that I wanted to be there when they did the work. They came out a few weeks later and did the work as we agreed. They even helped me by chipping up some other branches I had laying around. I started to carry them to the chipper but they told me they would take care of it, and they did. I plan to call them again next time I need something done. Very happy.

They came out last May and they did a good job. They were very efficient and they were done in a day.

I contacted Homeland via an Angie's Deal and a survey of the work was done the next day. I was then sent an email contract which I signed and returned. I waited a few days to be sure my signed contract would have reached them and contacted them for a work date. I was told the work would not need me to be home and they would complete the job by the end of the week. As it turned out, they were at my house the next morning. The job was completed professionally, cleanly and efficiently. I couldn't have been more pleased. I will be contacting this company again for many future jobs.

The estimate seemed reasonable and it was suggested that the work I was looking to have done could be done during the "off season" (late fall, early winter) months at a reduced rate. Mr. Polizos recommended thinning out the interior growth of the trees, but indicated that it could be done later this year or next year (the trees looked pretty good). Estimates were provided for stump grinding, both with partial removal of a surrounding stone patio (to assist in a more effective removal) and without removal.

Arrived late. Until supervisor came, we couldn't communicate with the workers who spoke no English. Once he came, things went well. Work was done well, they were neat and cleaned up beautifully. Will definitely use them again.

Bought the Big Deal, contacted to get a date, explained the work. They replied with a proposed date when we would be out of town. Usually I like to be there when work is done, but this seemed well defined and all outside. I told them to use the date they preferred. When we got back, all work was done, clean up was very complete and you can count me as a happy customer. Use these folks for your tree needs!

Cut over hanging limbs

The crew arrived on time. They were polite, profession, nice, and efficient. They removed a 60-foot dieing tree without damaging the new sod, out buildings, or lawn furniture. They cut and stacked everything that was possible fire wood and chipped the rest. They left us a nice pile of mulch. We had some branches in the trees over the deck. They removed them with little fuss and went ahead a removed some others we were not aware of at no extra charge. They trimmed broken branches, as well. My only concern was that one worker forgot his hard hat and I feared for his safety since he was working under the guy climbing the tree with the chainsaw.

They were very good. I didn't pay additional cost. They did exactly what I paid him for and they were super quick. There were two men and they were just amazing with work they did and they left nothing to clean up. I was very happy. I would use them again.

Although I was not able to be there at the time, my daughter said they arrived when they said they would, and efficiently took out the tree. They were pleasant and professional to work with.

Decent job- simple removal service

My experience has been very dissatisfying. I contacted the company many times regarding setting up the appointment. We finally set up an appointment and they never came out. I then had to contact the company and they said someone called me Monday to try to reschedule. I checked my messages and never received a voice mail. It turned out they did not even service my area. I would have appreciated them telling me in the beginning that they did not service my area. They have poor customer service and I would not recommend this company to others.
