John Roda served as the project manager for this roofing project. He handled everything from the initial quote to overseeing the entire project as the new roof was installed. They completed the entire roof (~1900 squares) in one day! The roofers showed up at 7:30 and immediately started working. They completed the job around 3 pm. I would have never have known they were there with the exception of the new roof! They did a fantastic job cleaning up all of the old shingles and roofing nails. John and American Home Contractors Inc. made this a very smooth operation. I would definitely use this company again.

The replaced the shingles and they also did a home roof inspection and replaced 2 vent collars. The service was fantastic! Howard was very friendly and knowledgeable and I will definitely look to use AHC when I need my roof replaced in the next 3-7 years. Highly recommend!

Our sales rep was James Im. He was very knowledgeable about roofing and the products AHC used. He was very courteous and attentive to the job and how it was done. The crew came on time and completed the job as described. They cleaned up when they were done and even used a big magnet to get any fallen nails. James came out after the job was completed and took pictures to show us how it looked. Overall a very good experience!

Marc Burkett saw it looked like it was coming from a window. He could not find anything wrong with the roof.

I rated them B for responsiveness because there was an initial problem with the office people involving scheduling. That issue was resolved by the office people. The actual work went very well. After explaining what he thought needed to be done, Mark cleared all the blocked gutters, caulked gutters where needed, caulked nail pops where needed. He also told me that overall the gutters looked to be in good shape, which was very nice to know. He was very courteous, efficient, and professional. He also cleared away all the debris from the gutters that fell on to the deck and walkways.

Photos of the completed job and roof issues were emailed to me however the photos were of a different house, I called them and they said I would receive the correct photos. They never sent me the promised correct photos. The photos they did send showed many problems needing correction. I now wonder if they purposely sent the wrong photos in an effort to promote unnecessary repairs.

Excellent!! I had used another roof service before this one (on Angie's List) and they were horrible. This company was 180 degrees opposite. They were prompt, professional, did excellent work, and didn't try to talk me into additional work that I didn't need. I will call them if I need any roofing work AND when I replace my roof in the next few years. They are my permanent roofing contractor - to infinity and beyond!

Fantastic. Charles called to tell me he'd be a little late, which was fine with me. He's very professional, took a lot of before and after photos, and showed them to me before he packed everything up. This was an excellent way to try a new roofing provider. I will definitely recommend Angie's List and American Home Contractors.

I was very satisfied with the work. Mark Burnett of American Home Contractors gave me a call 15 minutes before the appointment explaining that he would be late because he had over heated at the last job and had to lie down. This was reasonable because the predicted high was 99 with a heat index of 105. When he arrived we did a visual inspection of the gutters where is pointed out where there were problems and improvements that could be done. He proceeded to do the cleaning explaining that only one spout was clogged. He also did some needed minor repairs. He provided me with a verbal explanation of the inspection report of the roof and gutters but I requested going over the written report with him.. The report was detailed with ratings on many factors and descriptions of what should be done. He discussed having this done when the roof was replaced and told me that it did not need replacing at this time. I was given a coupon that I could use for future work and Mark explained that it did not have an expiration date. I've had experiences with contractors that try to sell you additional work with a special discount if you signed today. Mark Burnett and American Home Contractors did not do this so I can conclude that American Home Contractors is an ethical company and given my experience with them I would them use again.

Pretty well. Had to reschedule a couple of time due to potential unsafe weather conditions. Today was extremely hot even 1st thing in morning so attic inspection wasn't done. The small gutter on the deck was not able to be cleaned again due to heat. It was too hot for the lone technician to carry a heavy ladder to back. Would say maybe best time to schedule this service is Spring or Fall after leaves have dropped. I am pleased technician was able to do the cleaning in spite of a couple of obstacles. We reviewed conditions of gutters etc. over phone

This was a colossal waste of time! First off, they scheduled me for almost a month from when I called them - then after the long wait they get here and say they cant do the work because the gutters are too old to clean! But they could give me a great price on a brand new system that they could install?? Stay away people! Stay away!!

Great job. Howard and Steve came early, spent a lot of time explaining process and did a very professional inspection and cleaning of gutters. Spent time explaining some future issues that might arise with roof shingles. Would use this contractor for other outside work that we might consider in future.

Howard Shires and his assistant, Steve, were great. They were extremely professional and took pictures to show me any issues on the roof/gutter.

The roof needed more than the tuneup--it needs to be replaced. They were also very patient answering my many questions. I have scheduled an estimate and will definitely use them for the roof replacement.

Howard, Chuck, and Steve knocked out the repairs and gave me a good assessment and road map and strategy for maintaining my roof. Very professional.

Marc was the technician that came to my home. He was very prompt, especially considering the traffic from Baltimore down to PG County. He looked at the roof and gutters and in his explanation of what needed repair, he thoroughly explained WHY it needed repair. At no point did I feel like I was pressured or being told that things needed doing that really didn't. And even though he wasn't feeling the best, he pressed through, which I really respected and appreciated. If Marc is representative of American Home Contractors as a whole, I'd definitely hire them again.

Great job! Roof looks great and job done quickly and professionally. Very happy with extra attention paid to cleaning up at the end of the job!

Howard Shires and Steve did a great job.

Howard was great. He was very professional and respectful. He initially came out the week before and noted a birds nest in one of the gutters. Instead of disturbing the nest he waited and performed the service after the birds left. He adjusted the level of our front gutters resulting in a better flow. I would use them again.
