Steve a thorough inspection from the attic and from the exterior, repaired all the issues and gave us extra life for our aging roof. It's one of the few home improvement things I've done that costs less than I imagined and I'm very pleased with the result.

We called these guys twice- no return call after the 1st conversation with a customer service rep. We asked for an estimate or estimator to come by. Their ads all say they do roofing, including shingles, etc. especially in their "tune-up" offer. No one returned the first call. We had to call again as it was getting ready to rain the next day.He spoke to a woman who passed on that they declined the job, saying they don't or won't do it. My husband did all the repair work from the inside but just could not get on the roof. From this they knew he knows what the job entailed & knows about repairs, etc. and they wouldn't be able to get off with little to no work for the money. We suspect that their tune-up is a sham- they get up there with a caulk gun,squirt out a bunch and then come down and say either everything's great, or give a huge expensive estimate for more work. Homeowners have no idea what they're doing because they themselves cannot get on the roof to see what's going on. No reason they couldn't do a small reshingle job, when they get $150 for basically nothing (their "roof tune-up).

Marc Burkett of AMC arrived at the house as planned and cleaned what he could from the gutters. The gutters were protected by gutter guards, but I wanted to make sure they were working properly. Marc inspected all the gutters. He also advised me on a basement leak problem that was related to the rain gutter. He also reviewed recent work I had done on the roof and reported that to me. In fact, had I not had him clean the little bit of stuff on one portion of my gutters which was not critical, he would have had AHC refund my money, despite his coming all the way to my house and spending half an hour discussing my basement leak issue and reviewing my roof. And then, at the end, he gave me two serious discount coupons for future work. In my view, he and AMC definitely exceeded my expectations. This is what a homeowner wants - someone who comes to your house on time, knows what they're doing, doesn't give you BS, doesn't oversell, and gets the job done. And FYI, I'm not a friend or relative of AMC - this is a genuine honest no BS review

GREAT! The technician, Steve, was on time, in fact, he was a bit early. He was extremely knowledgable, careful, and thorough. He had excellent suggestions for managing my gutters and roof. I appreciated the fact that he took before and after photos to show the places that needed more work than the others. I also liked the fact that he checked with me before putting his ladder in among my bushes and shrubs. While I was inside the house most of the time, I could tell from the leaf blower and seeing leaves tumble down from the roof that he was working hard. I definitely would use American Home Contractors again -- in fact, I've already scheduled an appointment with them for an estimate for new gutter guards.

I had a roof inspection done. The technician, Howard, was excellent! He was on time and efficient. He took pictures, which I will be receiving via email within 48 hours, and went through all the pictures of my roof with me. Howard explained everything to me in easily understandable terms. Well worth the price!

He took photos from within my attic and upon my roof, showed me the photos and explained issues he found, then returned to the roof and fixed the issues. The issues he repaired involved removing dried-out caulk and replacing it. He said I did not need a replacement roof for at least a few more years.

Very happy with the results of the cleaning and inspection. Photographs were taken from the job before and after and sent to me via email. This is a great service and I'd choose this contractor again.

This was an A+ experience, and the specialist who came--Howard Shires--was great! He explained everything he did, made before and after digital pictures, and asked several times if I had questions. He made sure I had his card and knew I could contact him. The company was prompt and efficient in scheduling the job, too. Kudos to Howard Shires and American Home Contractors! We'll be doing business with you again!

Went great. Roofer took photos and reviewed with me. Fixed up what he could in the time allocated and even hit the gutters. Good clean up as well.

The technician, Charles Fistek, inspected the roof for the repairs needed and provided me with digital photos of where the trouble spots were on-the-spot. He made the repairs and also produced "after" digital photos confirming the repairs were completed. I was furnished with an assessment of potential future problem areas. I did not feel as though I was being coaxed into engaging the firm for additional work. The technician was expeditious, professional, and courteous.

My gutters were completely cleaned and any surrounding debris from the gutters was also removed.

Steve came and inspected the gutters as well as the roof, noticing a few minor problems there that we also need to fix (which American Home Contractors can fix separately for a very reasonable price). He showed me pictures of the clogged gutters (as well as the roof issues), cleaned it out, and showed me pictures of the finished/cleaned gutters, and hopefully all will be well with the next rainstorm.

After rescheduling a couple times due to weather issues, the work was completed in a professional manner. They showed up on time, did the work that was paid for. When the work was done, I got an honest and thorough report on the status of my roof and gutters.

American Home Contractors: November 2017 As a licensed Maryland home improvement contractor I am always on the lookout for quality service providers. My company specializes in interior remodeling and I have built long standing relationships with my workers. So, when it came time to have some exterior work done on my own home, I set about finding a company I could trust. My gutters needed cleaning, and I happened to see an ad from American Home Contractors offering gutter cleaning and roof inspection for $99. The inspection had to be scheduled on a clear day and as it turned out the inspection had to be rescheduled twice. The front office was quite helpful and courteous with the scheduling conundrum. On the day the inspection finally happened, Howard came out to my house, scampered up onto the roof and did what he came to do. When he was done, I got a complete report including photos: my gutters really needed cleaning. They were in good shape otherwise and my roof was in good condition. That was it. No smoke and mirrors, and no solicitation for more work. Just a thank you for calling American Home Contractors. I was impressed. Howard and I shook hands and as he was leaving, I asked, Oh by the way , what other services does your company provide? A few days later, John came out to my house and made a nice presentation of siding options and exterior thermal house wrap. The existing siding was really showing its age and the house was always cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I chose the thermal wrap and new vinyl siding. The work was scheduled to be done the next month. Two weeks into the wait, John called me and said the next week’s weather forecast was clear. American Home Contractors had a crew ready to go if I was willing to start early. I agreed and the crew was out the next Monday ready to work. For the next 3 days, the crew showed up on time every day and worked until the job was done. My house looks great and I can already tell (and feel) the difference the thermal house wrap makes.
