This is the second time we have hired American Home Contractors - the reason for having them again was because they were so honest and professional four years ago. Well, they are just as excellent now as before! Steve Lapp came out right on time (even called ahead to see if he could arrive a little early!), did a full inspection and made minor repairs, fully covered under the original inspection charge. He took extensive pictures, so that we could see all areas of the roof, and made sure we were satisfied with everything and that we understood everything. I couldn’t be happier with this company, and I recommend them highly!

Chuck did an excellent job on inspecting my attic and roof, caulking the places where needed, and taking many pictures showing me condition of the roof, gutter, and attic. I am very glad my roof is still in good condition after 15 years.

This is the second time that I have had American Home Contractors Inc. clean and tune up my gutters. Steve L. did a fantastic job! What I like most about this company is their professionalism and the high quality of their work. Their technicians are friendly. They take before and after pictures of your gutters and roof and they show you the pictures as part of a review of the service they perform. This provides a level of confidence and assurance that they performed the work for which I hired them, especially since I cannot climb onto my own roof to check that the work was actually performed.

Howard Shires did and excellent job.I had a downspout down and Howard put this back up for me even know it was not part of his regularly duties. He did an outstanding job cleaning the gutters and explained problems that I needed to address. I look forward to doing future work with this company. Steve arrived on time, inspected the roof, and did spot repairs. He then showed us before-and-after photos as well as photos of issues, and he gave non-pressure, informed explanations/suggestions. Considering the cost of a roof and consequences of roof problems, this seemed like a worthwhile investment, both for for the spot repairs and the assessment. I appreciated his efforts.

We bought our house a month ago, and there were roof issues. We'll need to replace within the next year, but for now we wanted to ensure it's acceptable until we replace it. We purchased an Angie's List Deal for roof maintenance. Our technician was Howard Shires. He was professional and personable. Replaced 2 shingles, and was very thorough in sealing things that could have potentially been a problem. He walked us through what he did, where, pointed out things to look out for going forward, and explained thoroughly where we had questions. The work was done in an hour. Would definitely hire them again, and in fact, we were so impressed that we also scheduled a roof replacement estimate with the company in the coming weeks. Thank you Howard and AHC!

Howard, the technician, did an excellent job! He was punctual, professional, and thorough. We are pleased with the high quality service. Our gutters were cleaned and inspected. We learned our roof has damage, which we did not know, so we appreciated being informed. Howard explained all the work he performed. He also took photos. We'd definitely use th is company again for future work!

American Home Contractors performed roof repairs for me and they were absolutely fantastic!!! We recently moved into our home. At the time of purchase, there were water stains on one of the upstairs bedroom ceilings, however, the home inspector did not note any problems with the roof. After a number of rain storms, it appeared as if the water marks were becoming darker and more prominent. After one particularly bad storm, I used a ladder to touch the ceiling and discovered that it was wet. I called a well known roofing company (not American Home Contractors) to get an estimate on repairs. After that company came out, we were advised that one of the boot seals had degraded and that we needed it replaced. (The agent who came to the house also gave us the hard sell to replace our entire roof.) I was e-mailed the repair estimate which was over $500 to replace a boot seal!! I declined to have that company perform the work on our roof and started looking for another roofing company. Enter American Home Contractors. I received a mailer from American Home Contractors which advertised repairs of boot seals for $149. I called the company to double check that the advertised cost was accurate and I was told that it was. I scheduled an appointment with them and waited to see what would happen. The day before the appointment I was provided an appointment reminder as well as the name of the technician who would be coming to the house. On the date of the appointment, I received a phone call from the tech, Paul Cox, notifying me that he was running ahead of schedule and checking to see if he could arrive at my home a bit early. Wonderful! Paul arrived early and got to work surveying the roof. He did not give me the hard sell to replace my entire roof. He was candid about issues with my roof but did not press me to undertake any additional repairs. He performed the repairs right then and there and even went above and beyond to perform some additional repairs that we did not schedule at no additional cost. Based on my experience with Paul, I felt that Paul was honest, trustworthy, hardworking and dependable. American Home Contractors will definitely be earning my business again. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

Tech did a great job, cleaned up the gutters and has been great since. Did not take much time. They also provide a nice set of pictures to show you what the issue was.

Gentleman was professional, but the job was sloppy. There was debris left on patio. Very substandard.

From the consultation to the installation, the company was professional. When called back for minor repairs, the workers returned without complaint.

Horrible company! I looked at all the reviews prior to purchasing the gutter cleaning deal. I notice there were a lot of people complaining about the company not showing up for the appointment. I decided to go with the company anyway because I figured it wouldn't happen to me. Please listen to the negative reviews because they are real incidents. I called the company and they picked up immediately, but was unable to give me an appointment until 21/2 weeks later. I took off from work for June 18th because my appointment was at 8:00am and I waited patiently. Well the weather was calling for thunderstorms three days in a row, so I messaged them the day before my appointment to verify they were still coming to my home. I received a message back stating they would call me in about 4 hrs. because they were monitoring the weather. I never received a call, so around 7 am I called the company and left a message. Then I left several messages on angie's list pertaining to my appointment. I received no response. 8:00 am arrived still no response and no one was knocking at my door. At around 9:45 am I received a message from someone verifying my appointment for 1 pm. I immediately called the company back and let them know my appointment was made over 2 weeks ago and it was for 8 am. She replied I only see 1 pm in the system. I repeated to the lady on the phone my appointment was at 8 am. I also told them I took off from work so that I could be available for the morning appointment. She put me on hold and came back to the phone and said she would be sending me to the department that handles gutter cleaning. A lady came on the phone not apologetic and only stated they changed my appointment because of the weather. Meanwhile I'm looking outside my window seeing pretty sunshine. I told here it has been sunny outside since 7 am this morning and she responded okay (sarcastically). I also told her a recommendable company would have called to let the customer know their appointment was changed to a different time. Also, I explained to her I left several messages and never received a response. She replied again okay. I hung the phone up, because of how she was responding to me and I felt like this company had no type of customer service skills and I was wasting my time. I will go with a recommendable company that honors a time that they've given a customer and understands how important a customers time is. This company has horrible customer service skills, overextend their services and can't keep up with the volume and make excuses.

Via Angieslist, I chatted with a representative and made an appointment for June 10 (6 or so weeks from the initial contact!). June 10th came and went with nary a response so I guess the company A) doesn't want my business, and/or B) dropped off the face of the earth. As a last ditch attempt at contact, I used the chat feature and asked what happened to my appointment and I didn't hear a peep.

Everything went great! Steve did a great job.

Did an excellent, thorough job. Got here on time. Took the time he said he would. Kind to my dog.
