We had no previous experience with Wilhide Painting, but selected them based on the reviews we read here and on other sites. We were VERY PLEASED with the work that Ray and his crew did. Although they were more expensive than other estimates I received, the attention they paid to the small details and the quality of their work makes them worth every penny. Ray can be very particular about the details, but this is exactly what you want in a painter! At the end of each day, they cleaned up any messes that occurred during the day. Other than the newly painted sections, you would not have known that they were there during the day. Due to a postponement of another project, they were able to complete my job two weeks ahead of schedule. When I need more painting done, I will definitely contact Ray to do the work.

This is the second job we've hired Ray to handle.  He is extremely professional, yet personable and is willing to make time in his schedule to provide his estimates.  He worked with us on price for the last project we had completed - we ended up with a nice compromise that we could all be happy with.  He and his team showed up on time and worked diligently to get the job completed as fast as possible.  We would definitely hire him again.  In fact, we plan to do so for our next project this summer!

Ray was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end.  Great work, reliable and professional.  I have more projects scheduled for the spring and Ray will definitely get the call.

Ray's work was exceptional. There were no brush strokes and no drips on the floor. I had just had brand new hardwood flooring installed, and there wasn't a drip, mark, or scratch anywhere. I will be using Ray again for the rest of my painting need.

We contacted Ray to do a "facelift" and repairs for the main floor of an older home that we just purchased that needed a lot of work. Ray was responsive from the first time we contacted him. When he came out to do the estimate, he knew we were looking for him to act as our contractor, and he had arranged for a plumber, hardwood floor refinisher, and roofer to come out at the same time to give bids as well. This was very helpful in coordinating the job. We ended up choosing Ray to do the carpentry work and several other projects, and also used his plumber and electrician, who he coordinated for us at no additional cost. Ray's estimated cost for this work was competitive with another bid we obtained. He completed everything on time and stuck to the budget. There were several add-on things that we asked him to do along the way, and he only charged us materials fee for those. He also did some additional little touches on his own at no extra cost, like lowering the baseboard heaters to a more customary level, leveling a wall, and adding molding to our garage attic access panel. All work was excellent! His carpentry work was superb and his attention to detail cannot be surpassed. We were really impressed that Ray did all of the work himself. He is also a standout kind of person--one who you would not hesitate to give a key to your house or to trust with any size project. He has a great eye for fine homes, and we feel priveledged to be able to have had that kind of work done on our new home! We will definitely continue to call on Ray in the future.

We wanted at least two other quotes from well known bathroom remodeling companies on the TV and in magazines.  One of them would not come out but told us over the phone that their minimum would be at least $25,000.  The other came but we never heard back with a proposal. Although Ray's estimate was substantially less than what we had been told, it was well documented and simply 'made sense".  His reasonable rate and coordination of subcontractors made it so we could afford upgraded special items. Ray completed the demolition himself.  We thought it best to be out of the house, so we went out of town.  Ray is the sort that you do not think twice about leaving alone in your house. We were very pleased to come back to an immaculate house - with all exposed surfaces covered to protect them from dust, etc.  even places and furniture we hadn't thought of.  Ray treated all of our belongings with utmost care and respect.  We had some pre-set ideas of the fixtures and furniture we wanted, but had not found "it".  Ray was helpful in giving advice with what had worked for him before, but still wasn't offended when we did something else. Ray has an excellent eye for color and design.  He also knows so many people in "the business" that he got  great prices and quality materials for our project.  Again, this enabled us to get the best quality and still stay within our budget.  The vanity, purchased online, did not go together the way it was supposed to.  Ray and his contractors called the retailer to find a solution (as we wanted our bathroom back and were not about to wait for another vanity). After a lot of time on the phone with the not very helpful seller, the guys figured out an answer themselves, and ran off to the hardware store to buy some supplies to mount the vanity that we had "imported".  For everything where we listened, and used the vendors suggested by Ray, everything was top notch AND the best price.  For our shower door, the people he recommended were excellent, local, and cost $500 less than the decorating magazine suggestions. A month later, we are very pleased with our new bathroom and having the washer/dryer upstairs is life altering!  We have several more house projects and want Ray to come back and do them soon.

Ray did a great job painting the bathroom. He has great attention to detail, he communicated what he was doing and why and he cleaned up after he was finished. I would certainly hire Wilhide painting for my next job and I would recommend this company to my family and friends.
