When we made our first contact, asking questions recommended by buyer agents, the agent was cautious and defensive. She was prepared to turn away our business. When we informed her that many of the questions were from buyer agents, she changed her attitude. The agent also revealed a lack of professionalism. For example, several times we provided a list of questions, only to receive a comment about not having enough time to answer them. And, this was after the fact that she assured us she would not take on any more clients if she didn't feel she could handle the load. Our agent also did not serve us well when she failed to have HOA documents ready for review, forcing us to perform the costly appraisal and inspection; before we were able to exercise our right to contingency for the HOA review. When we complained, we were told not to worry since she has never experienced an HOA review causing a sale to fall through. We're lucky our's didn't. Space limits sitting more examples.
