Butch and his crew did a great job installing a fence in our backyard. He did exactly what he said he would. He was very straightforward and managed my expectations well. His price was also the lowest of the 3 estimates that I received. He came highly recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. Butch was very knowledgeable and help me determine the best location for the corner posts as well as special ordering gates to account for a subtle slope to our yard. Our new puppy loves her new running area. I couldn't be happier with the fence and the job that Signature Fence did.

Butch came out within a day or two to look at the site and give me an estimate. He emailed me written specs and costs a couple of days later. He also let me know when he came out that they were busy and were currently scheduling jobs eight weeks out. I emailed back my acceptance and snail-mailed a one-third deposit check. They emailed me when they received my check and let me know that I was on the schedule for mid-September. Right on schedule, in the second week of September, Butch called and asked if they could do the job in two days. They arrived at the agreed time and Butch and I walked through the job with his crew of three. Butch then left. The crew worked solidly for about four hours and were done. The fence is a quality product. Both the materials (treated pine posts and cedar boards) and the crew's construction and finish have produced a really nice looking fence. As a customer, dealing with Signature Fence was a pleasure. They clearly communicated what they could do and when they could do it. They kept me informed at each step in the process and they did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. I think I got good value for money, too. Signature Fence clearly has its act together. Butch, the office team and the construction crew know what they're doing and they do it well. I recommend them highly.

He  is a local guy, he has one team of a few guys. They were super fast and really professional. They did it by hand, dug all those fence posts by hand and we have a big yard. He didn't upcharge us. He was very honest about, this is the best product and trying to keep within our price point.

Our complete project was a gate across a 10' driveway along with a 20' section of fence. The two formed a 30' "L" shape at the side of our garage. We considered putting up the gate ourselves using a surface-mount pole for the gate post on the concrete driveway. However, when we started getting quotes for the work, every one of the contractors strongly recommended against using surface mounts for so large and heavy a gate. When we started calling concrete companies to bore a post hole in the concrete for one of the posts and set the other fence post, all but two agreed to bid the job. Of the 6 concrete companies contacted, 5 were from Angie's list. Signature, from Angie's list and the fence guy from Lowe's in Gaithersburg were the only two who agreed to come to our house, take measurements and bid the job. The Lowe's connected contractor came to our home, took measurements and never got back to us. We called him a number of times before contacting Signature. Butch from Signature Fence of Frederick took measurements and provided a quote for the gate of $1,500.00 (did not include the 20' section of fence). He provided the type of fence posts , the cedar rails and boards and the hardware, including the drop rods as requested. He and a crew of two arrived early one morning as promised. He left after about 15 minutes and the crew completed the gate in a little over 4 hours including all concrete work and installation of the hardware.
Our gate is well built and sturdy as well as aesthetically pleasing. We are happy with the work. The only area we rated "B" is the price although we only have our own price list for the gate parts of $601.34. This does not include labor because we initially intended to do this project ourselves. We paid partially in cash and used credit cards for the rest. Note; Signature does not take American Express.

Scheduling the appointment was extremely easy.  They were very responsive, which is why I went with them over other companies and they also gave me a better quote.  They did a great job and the crew was great. Everyone was very nice, very professional, and cleaned up the cite perfectly.  I had no problems with the installation and everything was up to code in accordance to city guidelines and property lines.  I still get compliments on the fence today.

They were super prompt in providing an estimate, and theyir price was very competitive. I appreciated that when I was telling him what I wanted, he was telling me what the risks were and he was telling what would happen if we did what we wanted. He advised us and we were happy with the outcome. He was super quick, he installed my and my neighbor's fence on the same day, we made his life more challenging, because we both signed the contracts together and when it came to scheduling, we both fixed it together and so everything had to be ready. He was great and his group were fantastic. We were very happy with the fence and we highly recommend him. They did a phenomenal job.

Great!  Beautifully finished in less than 1 day!  Professional crew who knew what they were doing.

Butch responded to my inquiry immediately and provided excellent advice on how to make the existing fence work and what improvements could be made for increased privacy.  His crew had installed the previous fence and he exactly matched the new higher fence so that it looks great!
The installation was fast (only delatyed by the cable company) and the fence looks great.  I would recommend Signature Fence to anyone who appreciates the value a fence can add to a property.

Butchs team did a wonderful job with the entire process. I received an estimate quickly and scheduled a date for the work. The work was done on schedule and the final product was great.

Called Signature to get an estimate on a fence repair following Hurricane Sandy.  The posts for one section of the fence and the gate had broken from the wind. They came out the next day and provided the estimate right away.  They were the best price we received by a $200+.  Called to make an appointment and since my job was small they were able to fit it in quickly.  The weather pushed the original date back a couple days (not their fault).
When they did repair the fence, they were done quickly, removed the old fence, and did a high quality job with the repair.  I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

Called for an estimate and fence was installed within a week.   Installed new fence and took away old fence.  Excellent work.

The install went extremely efficiently from the time of estimate to order to completion.  The work was not disruptive at all and the fence looks absolutely beautiful (and is very good quality - strong)!

They were GREAT.  We called them  based on a reference from a friend. We purchased a house in February but were not moving in until April and we wanted to work done when we were there.  Butch and his wife worked with us to get an estimate and contract together very quickly. They were even included pricing to get all the permits needed.  A week before we received a confirmation call for the day of our project.  Since it was April the date was contingent upon the weather and they made sure we were aware of this.  Unfortunately for us there was alot of rain, but the day before the original date, Butch called to let us know that we would be delayed only one day.  During this call we did discuss other options if the rain continued.  The day of, they crew showed up early and went to work.  Before digging Butch verified with us that we agreed with the placement of the gates and fence.  They used high quality materials, cedar and stainless steel nails.  Everything was finished in a day as estimated.  It literal looks like the picture we showed him when we began.  Overall they were very easy to work with, professional, and knowledgeable. 

Great responsiveness and quality. One of the pickets has come off where it was installed near a tree (correctly) but I have not called them yet to fix it. 

Butch and his crew came on the days they said they were coming, performed the work in the time they said it would take, and left a quality product. Along the way, Butch made helpful comments and filed all our permits after we filled out the paper work and got our neighbors' signatures. He prefabricated the pickets to minimize the mess and time spent on site; very professional and organized. Fence looks great.

Outstanding. We had been trying to get another company to install the fence. After two months, and the sales rep insulting me on the phone. We looked for a new contractor. I called them in the afternoon and explained my situation and the owner came that night, gave an estimate the next day and we had our fence within the week. I was stunned at how customer friendly they were, but even more important what a good fence they built.

Very well. Butch was very helpful and got the job done quickly and well. The only complaint, and it's minor, is that they didn't completely clean up after the job. Unfortunately, I wasn't there for the final walk through and didn't see the mess until after everything was done. I'm sure that Butch would have taken care of business.
