I was impressed on how the proposal was prepared.  The estimated spent time on the roof taking pictures and explaining what the company would do upon my agreement.  On the day of the installation, materials were delivered and with the use of crane the shingles were placed on the roof.  Once the crew arrived, the crew prepared the parameter of the house with protective covers to protect the patios, trees and bushes.  It took 2 days to remove the old shingles, correct the roof damage and install 2 new sky tubes and flashing. The proposal packet was very informative and the cost estimation was "dead on".  Upon completion, the crew cleaned the grounds which included my neighbor's property of all debris and roofing nails.  I was also impressed with someone from the office stopped by to make sure I was pleased with work.  All questions asked during the process were answered by the crew foreman.  In addition, I had 3 other bids which weren't as specific as Shumaker.  I noticed "hidden costs" which wasn't the case with Shumaker.  After the job was completed the office called to ensure I was happy with the work that was performed.

They did a great job. We were very happy with everything, including, service, the workers, price, and quality.

I would give them an A even though they have a mixed review on Angie's List.

Just fine. Did a good job. Didn't 'knock my socks off' but the job was done good, good clean-up, no issues with performance. Only residual issue, I had a couple leaks, mainly near windows; hoped new shingles would solve the problem but they didn't so it probably is the window and not a roofing issue.

When we initially contacted Shumaker about a roof repair, they immediately came out to repair it. The representative seemed to be very honest with his estimate. The job was extremely well done. When we did encounter a problem a year later, they sent someone out, no questions asked. We found Shumaker to be very easy to work with - the crew seemed experienced and the job was done efficiently. The site was left clean and orderly after the job was done.

They did an excellent job and were able to complete the work in one day. The workers were very diligent and cleaned up all debris upon completion. I was walked around the house to examine the work while they explained what they did. They told me to call at any time if I had questiions about anything. They returned a few weeks later to complete mortar work that couldn't be completed while temperatures were too low. Even on their return, they asked if I had any questions or areas that tI would like them to check while here. I highly recommend them. They are worth the price.

The roof looks like I expected, however the detail stuff is not even close to the quality I expected. Additionally, prior to the job the interface was cordial. When I called them back to address post job concerns they were rude and did not fix the problems I called them back for. They were very rough on the house and caused many nail pops upstairs that they refused to even acknowledge. The price savings is not worth the aggravation. I hope that it wears better than it installed.

The roofers about 7:30 AM. They had the old shingles removed by about 10 AM. The installation was finished by about 3 PM.
They did an excellent cleanup job. This was important as there was a massive amount of debris from the old roof removal.
They kept me informed at all times about what was happening. There have been no problems with the roof since installation,
and it looks really good.

They have been very reliable and responsive. They have an emergency service so they will come right away.

Their attitudes were unprofessional. One thing they do while reroofing is taking the bundled tiles they are going to use and they didn't secure it well enough and it dropped on to my patio and broke all of my patio furniture. This alsoaffected my sliding glass door which I had to replace on my own dime. There was also a piece of the roof that they left hanging and we had a terrible wind storm and it alsmost fell off completely. They installed several parts of the roof wrong as well. I had a report done to see everything that they had done wrong and it came back showing about 15 to 20 things that were done incorrectly. It was the worst experience I have ever been through. I do not want anyone else to have to go through what I went through.

Customer Service needed and has been improved. We have been a customer of theirs for 15 years and will give them another shot. I spoke with Scott and gave him feedback on some issues. He was very pleasant and agreed to work with me.
