We got quotes from a number of different A-rated service providers on Angie's List as well as from RDF, and Ruben was the only contractor whose proposal included taking off the old roof and replacing warped or damaged boards underneath. Despite this extra effort, his proposal was significantly less expensive than the other providers. (Other companies said that they could tell there was no bad wood beneath the old roof without removal.) Lo and behold, when Ruben's team stripped off the old roof they found significant water damage in one corner. His team replaced the damaged wood in minutes and never skipped a beat. The team did a great job with managing the project, fabricating and installing some particularly tricky bits of flashing at the joint with our neighbor's porch, and including a good post-installation cleanup job. The roof has performed perfectly in the recent heavy rainstorms.  I highly recommend Ruben Flores and his company.
