I chose Alex because I wanted to know who I would be working with, and I wanted to work with someone who was experienced and highly regarded. I am very glad that Alex refinanced our home! We wanted to refinance our home at a lower interest rate to reduce our monthly payment. As soon as I called Alex, he and his team immediately went to work. He found us exactly what we needed, despite our below average credit score. All the documents leading up to closing were clearly and efficiently communicated, and closing was completed at our dining room table on a weeknight. The whole process only took 3 weeks. This is amazing, particularly considering that they pulled this off during the holiday season, between Thanksgiving and Christmas. We truly appreciate all that Alex and his outstanding team has done for us. They provided the perfect refinance for us. Annie Rokus is a superb loan coordinator. Alex was wonderful. It is not easy these days to get a mortgage. We got a mortgage a few years ago from a different company and I was shocked at how difficult the process has become. There were still a lot of hurdles to jump on this one, but Alex made it comparatively easy. He was calm and he was effective. And in the end he got the job done. We couldn't be more pleased.

Alex is awesome! My husband and I are first time homebuyers and were nervously shopping for a mortgage. I researched several mortgage companies including brokers and big banks, but was generally unimpressed. I found Alex and Eagle Creek on Angie's List. I called Alex, and on our first phone call he took time to talk with me and explain the mortgage process. He also offered the best mortgage terms (lower interest % and lower fees) than anyone else I had previously spoken to. We decided to go with Alex and Eagle Creek and were not disappointed. Seriously, you will not the decision to work with him. Alex made what could have been a difficult experience, easy and stress free. He is super competent and works FAST.

I have nothing but positive comments for Alex and Eagle Creek. Everything was handled super fast and they answered all of my questions in minutes. Now that the process has been completed, I can say I am happy I used them. It is my only refinance so I can't really compare to other providers, but I got everything out of the process that I was looking for and it was all handled with a high degree of professionalism and responsiveness. I would definitely use them again.

Alex is amazing, he was fantastically professional and efficient and got us a great deal even better than we expected. I can't recommend him and eagle creek mortgage highly enough. If you are hesitating about the process I wouldn't Alex takes time to understand the goal (in this case) of the refinance and offer options that are easy to understand and the closing process went without a hitch.

Alex did a great job helping me to refinance my mortgage. He was professional, responsive, and took the time to answer any questions I had. He is knowledgeable about the types of mortgages available and explained each option in detail. He offered recommendations based on my financial situation and goals. He has a network of mortgage lenders he works with and I was able to get more options through him than I was able to get through my bank. He worked with me to determine whether I wanted to pay more down up front or roll the closing costs into the loan. He worked seamlessly with the lender and title company to complete the mortgage application and closing. I would definitely go back to Alex at Eagle Creek for future mortgage needs and highly recommend him to others.

Alex made the entire process easier than I could have ever imagined. He was very responsive, answered every question we had, and provided us with all the options we had for refinancing. We would definitely use his services again and highly recommend him!

I was working with another lender, and was having trouble deciphering the paperwork they were sending me. I called Alex for a quote. He told me that we were too far along in the process to change to a new lender, but then spent 15 minutes giving me a comparative quote and walking through financial advice down the road (and what would make sense down the road). I'm sorry I found him so late in the process, but he can count on a call when we refi.

Alex worked with me to refinance a 3-unit row DC house. I live there, but because its a triplex with rentals, some lenders view it as an investment property, and won't write mortgages on it. He found a lender willing to offer me good terms, and overall, the closing costs were lower than other estimates I had received. The lender was also willing to allow me to pay my own property taxes and insurance, and not escrow those costs. Alex was great to work with, very professional, quick to respond and in general, everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend him for either a refinance or original purchase.

From the beginning working with Alex Echeandia at Eagle Creek Mortgage (301) 802-6426 was smooth, professional and respectful. I called Alex and told him I wanted to refinance my mortgage. We spoke for a little while and he told me of several loans that were available from the selection of available loans I told him which loan met my needs. After that it was preparing paperwork, phone calls and emails to get the loan set up. This process was very well executed in a timely manner by Alex and it was a pleasure to communicate and talk with him. I closed on the loan in my home at a time that was convenient for me.

Alex completed a refinancing of our FHA loan in the most professional and timely manner. First and foremost, his responsiveness throughout the entire process was impeccable. We've dealt with mortgage brokers before who are slow to respond, error-prone, and less than patient. Alex's service, however, was a breath of fresh air. The refi was done efficiently and while we did have some up-front costs, they were quickly canceled out after our escrow was released from the previous mortgage. Also, I should mention that Alex cleanly beat several other mortgage brokers' proposed interest rates and costs. We cannot recommend Eagle Creek and Alex enough for anyone who is in search of a personable and effective mortgage broker.

This was our second time working with Alex at Eagle Creek. Alex is on top of all the details, and is a dream to work with. I have recommended him to others and will continue to do so.

I contacted Alex Echeandia of Eagle Creek Mortgage in October 2014 in an attempt to refinance my mortgage. My intent was to do a cash out refinance to consolidate debt and pay down my student loan. I was already working with another broker, but was unhappy with the slow to unresponsive service that I was getting. Alex's response time was impeccable, which I have found to be very rare in this area of the country. To that end, when Alex ordered my appraisal, it was conducted and the results were back within a week. A few weeks prior, I actually had an appraisal ordered with the other broker. However, their response time was so slow that the two appraisals were done within two days of each other. The two appraisals used identical comparables, but due to the subjective nature of home appraisals, my home's value differed by $10,000 between the two appraisals. Alex worked extremely hard to have the mortgage lender analyze my appraisal and the comps that were used. But he was unable to get them to reevaluate the appraisal. After becoming extremely disgusted with the appraisal process, I decided not to move forward with refinancing. I advised Alex that I would contact him at a later date should I decide to refinance again. I contacted Alex again in April 2015, 6 months later. He was actually out of the country on vacation during the time that I called. I told him that I wanted to refinance without taking any cash out. Alex told me that he would contact me when he returned from vacation. When he returned, he went straight into the office (without even going home first) to start working on my package. The process went extremely smooth and rather quickly. And much to my surprise, when my house was re-appraised, it actually appreciated $15,000 within those six months!! Or was it $5,000? I guess it depends upon the appraiser who comes to your home. I will definitely contact Alex again for any future mortgage financing needs that arise. Thanks Alex for a wonderful experience!!

Alex, Annie, and the team at Eagle Creek Mortgage are one of the most punctual, professional, and knowledgeable groups we have encountered not just in financial services, but in any type of service. Alex assisted us in securing the original mortgage loan on our home in April 2012. When our real estate agent went MIA during our negotiations with the existing owner, Alex stepped in and assisted with her role as well as his own. In early 2015, it came time to refinance. Alex found us a Lender who allowed us to shave 3/4 of a percentage point off of our interest rate, eliminate mortgage insurance, and cut our loan term from 23 years down to 15 years, saving us tens of thousands of dollars over the life of the loan. Emails or phone calls to Alex and Annie were always returned within no more than a few hours. Alex was always willing to have discussions in the evenings, which was very important as we are a household with two full-time workers. The process took roughly 45 days from first contact to closing. And the closing agent from the settlement company even came to our house in the evening to get the final paperwork signed. We would recommend Eagle Creek Mortgage to anyone who asked, and have already recommended Eagle Creek to even those who haven't asked.

This is the second time working with Alex at Eagle Creek within the past year for me. I secured my initial mortgage through him in April of last year. He contacted me about doing a VA streamline refinance loan and was able to lower my rate by almost a percent, saving me close to $300 a month on my mortgage and no money down at closing. It took three weeks to the day from paperwork to in-home settlement. It was a painless refinance, and as always, Alex was proactive and responsive and delivered on everything he promised. I highly recommend Alex at Eagle Creek for anyone with mortgage needs!

Alex was extremely helpful in working with us to get our mortgage refinanced. Rates were very competitive, he was knowledgeable about timing maneuvers to minimize closing costs, and his staff us navigate some tricky issues that arose with the lender. Great experience.

Alex Echeandia of Eagle Creek Mortgage in Gaithersburg and his staff did a great job of handling the mortgage for purchase of our home in July 2014. Most documents were submitted and signed electronically. All the paperwork was perfect at the closing. (He had also recommended the real estate agent whom we used and loved.) Then half a year later Alex contacted us with good advice to take advantage of refinancing because rates had dropped significantly. Again all the paperwork was handled smoothly. Alex answered all email questions quickly, any time of the day or night. The refinance closing was done at home, on Saturday even--very convenient. It's nice to do business with a local mortgage broker, whom you can deal with in person, who is both personable and professional, and who really knows his stuff.

As a former client of Alex's, I found myself on the receiving end of an email about falling interest rates. Within 12 hours of my initial expression of interest, Alex had a rate for me that lowered my payments by $165 per month. The refi process (our second with Eagle Creek) cost us $0 out-of-pocket and was completed within three weeks. Alex guided us through everything from the Appraisal to the Zero-money-down, in-home closing. His makes the whole process so easy. I'd certainly work with his team again!

I contacted Alex after reading reviews on AL in regards to refinancing our current mortgage. We had already begun the process with another Broker but unhappy with the service we were getting & I wanted to work with a local lender. Alex was AMAZING! He answered any questions we had & his follow-up and response time was very quick- something that seems to be unheard of with many businesses in today's world. Alex had the info. needed to us almost immediately & was always available to answer any questions. In the end we stayed with our current broker- not because of rates (Alex's were better) but because we were so far along in the process already and so close to settlement that it did not make sense to begin the process all over. I will definitely refer friends and family to Alex and certainly be contacting him in the future for any lending needs first and before contacting anyone else! I can't say enough good things about our experience with him. Call him, you will be happy and well taken care of!

It went well however we did not choose to refinance with Eagle Creek as our current mortgage company came up with an offer that could not be matched. However Alex Echeandia did try very hard to match the offers that our current company came up with and was very helpful in answering all the questions we had around the closing costs and other taxes and fees involved. He is a very knowledgeable consultant and was quick to call back with responses. If we need to refinance again we will definitely approach Eagle Creek.

Alex was very professional and helpful throughout our entire interaction. I was searching for a mortgage for the purchase of a primary residence while I had a history of a short sale on my record. That would turn off most brokers, but Alex was patient and thorough as he searched for lenders who might be able to assist me. It turned out there were no products he could find that were available in the area of my new home - but he generously offered to go over any paperwork for a mortgage I had secured elsewhere. Overall, he was helpful and extremely generous with his time. I would highly recommend Alex!
