I can't recommend Eagle Creek Mortgage enough. I did some research into refinancing and attempted to call a few other providers as recommended, none of whom were available when I called on Saturday afternoon. I reached Alex Echeandia on Sunday morning who took my information and got me a quote that same day. The quote for the refinanced mortgage rate was even less (better) than what I had decided was what I would find acceptable. Given Alex's responsiveness and the rate he was able to provide, we decided to use Eagle Creek for our refinancing. We didn't regret it. Alex was available to answer questions even when he was off on vacation. We never met him in person as there was no need for us to travel to MD to his office. The closing was held at our house based on a schedule that was convenient for us. If you are looking to refinance your mortgage, give Alex and Eagle Creek mortgage a call!

Here's what Alex brought to both of our refis. (1) He's a broker who monitors the packages available thru a lot of mortgage banks but he represents his customers' best interests, not the banks'. (2) Also, almost immediately Alex's customers receive a summary of the important fees and elements involved in the refi: Unless you have a problem that needs attention, you will get a mortgage rate and cash out amount that will not change. The transaction charges to other parties (e.g., govt.) will be listed and will not change. The new monthly payment will be exactly what he indicated at the beginning. (3) Throughout the entire process, it's comforting that Alex is your sole contact. If something needs to be represented to a bank, he will do it. Alex answers the phone or promptly gets back to you; also, his staff are available to guide you in assembling your documentation. Of course, Alex represents a brokerage firm and he does charge a fee, but we believe that the fee is balanced by the product he provides and by the ease of processing a low cost mortgage with him.

Alex Echeandia was great. I worked with him on my original mortgage when I purchased my house. When interest rates fell, he contacted me about refinancing. He offered a lot of information throughout the process and beat his good faith estimate. At the end of the deal, I came to closing with $0.00 and I will save close to $40,000 over the life of the loan!

Alex Echeandia at Eagle Creek helped my wife and I refinance our current home after only living in it for less than a year. Working with Alex was a pleasure from start to finish. All discussions with him were clear and straight forward. Numbers and fees were explained in writing with any exceptions called out. it was very easy to get a hold of Alex for questions and he was always prompt with returned calls. Overall fees for the refinance were very reasonable especially compared to a previous (bad) experience and our interest rate went down about 1/2 percent. This time we used Alex to refinance our existing home mortgage. We appreciated that Alex reached out to us to explore options for refinancing. Alex was great. As the seller wanted to close in 30 days, we didn't have a lot of time. Alex not only got us the clear to close with time to spare, he even met us out of his way on a Sunday to ensure that our paperwork was expedited to the lender. I ended up taking a mortgage with my primary bank, but Eagle would have been my second choice.
