Alex is an honest man operating in a complicated, secretive business. I highly recommend him. Finally,I liked the fact that hIs office was located near our house, so I was able to visit. To cap it all, the lender paid his fee, perhaps because of our excellent credit rating and the large amount of equity remaining in our home even after the Refi.

From the first e-mail asking for a GFE in May to the closing date in July, Alex was the most responsive, honest and helpful person in our homebuying process, seconded by the insurance broker that he recommended. Other companies never returned my calls, whereas Alex answered/returned calls and e-mails promptly, even on nights and weekends. Even without any points Alex had the lowest rates, but after paying the origination fee plus a discount fee(why how much we spent is more than many others), our rate now is 3.375. While I had been told that some mortgage companies had higher fees/rates for a 60-day lock in, we had no issues with that at all. Alex was very honest and upfront about all fees--he explained that decreasing the rate was only worth it after 6 years, which doesn't make sense for many people, but we will be at our new home for at least that long. Any questions I had were answered with well-thought out responses. When the seller of the house we were interested in called to ask about our financial situation, Alex both declined to give them any information other than that we were "well-qualified," but also immediately e-mailed and called to notify us. When we went to his office to sign the loan documents he went through and explained each page (which for anyone who has had a mortgage, is a lot of paperwork!). When I noticed a new fee that was not in the original GFE because the sellers were paying some of our settlement costs, Alex offered to refund us the fee at closing (which he did). All of the other fees ended up being less than estimated in the GFE. Although we didn't end up using the title company he suggested, both that company and the mortgage broker had some of the lowest rates we found. Alex also coordinated with the real estate agents and title company to deal with any last-minute hiccups so that we didn't have to worry, knowing that Alex was on our side. I would give Alex my highest recommendation to anyone.

From start to finish, Alex made himself available to us with every question we had both big and small. If we ever got his voicemail, he ended up calling us back within an hour or less. The total process from the initial application to closing took about 6 weeks, and during that time Alex would call or email at least once a week to let us know the status of our application. I have already recommended him to several friends and coworkers that are thinking about refinancing.

When buying/refinancing our house, I have always felt that the people involved were somehow trying to take advantage of me. Alex is the first person I?ve worked with where I felt like he truly had our best interest at heart. He was always quick to respond (by phone, email, fax) and even looked over our home owner?s insurance docs and saved us a bit of money there. I admit I was a bit skeptical, even up to the very end, because things seemed too good to be true. But when he sent the title company out to our house with the final paperwork, everything Alex promised was true- he saved us a little over $300 on our mortgage, our closing cost only came out to $540, there was no money tacked onto our loan (last time we refinance the company added a couple thousand to our loan!) and we did not need an appraisal. This process was very quick & Alex was very efficient and professional. I have never had a more pleasant financial experience. Thank you so much Alex!

Although we did not end up using him for a loan, he was very helpful along the way. He was very knowledgeable on different financing options and he gave his recommendations on what would be the best program for us. Alex was very helpful and competent in assisting me in refinancing my house. My refinancing process had a few unique challenges that he was able to handle easily and provide me with a competitive package at a good rate. He was able to explain why he recommended certain items or any other questions that I had. One aspect that I really appreciated was that Alex was also quick to respond by phone or email. Even in time periods where there was a lull as we waited for the bank to process paperwork, he kept me updated on the progress and would let me know when he heard anything or when he was expecting to hear. The entire process went without a problem and very little effort on my part beyond providing him with the necessary (standard) data and documentation. I had a great experience and would recommend him to others.

We refinanced our home and were very happy with the rate that Alex got us. Alex was the first person I called and nobody I talked with after that could match the rate he got us. One lender even said "If he's offering you that, I don't know why you're calling me." He was very responsive to questions and the process went much more smoothly than I had expected a refinance to go.

Everyone knows that purchasing a home is like being in the middle of a soap opera, but Alex and his team at Eagle Creek seemed to have written, directed, and distributed the show! They had absolutely everything under control- even to the point where Alex had a family emergency and was orchestrating the entire closing process from Peru! He coordinated the work of two real estate agents, two title companies, and one relocation company. Truly amazing - a show of real dedication to the client. I wish there was a rating higher than an "A" to give these guys. Our deal was extremely complicated as we purchased a home through a relocation company, but Alex kept us informed at all times and answered every question we asked. If we emailed him with a question/concern at midnight, we revceived an immediate response. When we texted him in Peru, he responded immediately. We doubted everyone in the process except Alex. He got us such an awesome mortgage that when we received funds from the seller for repairs, there was no where to put the credits. They actually had to lower the price of the house! When we asked my credit union officer to review the package, he said we had gotten a "mean deal"! Even the lawyer at closing was shocked at the terms Eagle Creek had secured on our behalf. We could go on forever singing the praises of Alex and his crew, but to sum it up, they are an awesome company that we will definitely have our my team if I ever purchase another home. We finally feel like we won for a change!

In July of 2011 I wanted to buy a condo. My credit was bad. My realtor referred me to Alex at Eagle creek who explained to me how the credit and lending process works. He referred me to a credit counselor who really helped me get things in order within 6 months. I just went to Settlement on mynew home Feb. 29, 2012. Good interest rate, great service. I highly recommend. Any time I had questions or concerns throughout the enitire 8months while working on my credit to purchasing my condo, Alex was always available, helpful and courteous. His response time is amazing. I really could not have done this without his help. Very Happy.

The process was very simple; I talked with Alex to start the process and he guided me through step by step. He was careful to explain the fees associated with refinances, the necessary paperwork,and out of pocket expenses. This couldn't have been an easier process to complete, and we were able to close the new loan in about 35 days. Alex was wonderful to explain where we were in the process so I always felt informed. He made sure I felt in control of the choices I could make so anxiety was at a minimum. We closed the loan in our own home, which was also nice. Overall, I had a great experience with Alex's services. He work on my refi for my home, and took care of everything. He was always very professional, and kept me informed. Even when everything was completed, he follow up with me to find out if I was happy with my loan.

We had the smoothest refinance I have ever experienced, and we have refinanced more than once before. We went through everything in 15 days flat. Wow! The closing costs also ended up being less than quoted, so we ended up getting more money back than we thought we would.

I originally found Alex Echeandia through Angie's List... I refnanced once over a year ago and all went very smoothly. The second time, he actually reached out to me and let me know rates were down and aked if I was interested in refinancing again... they were down another whole point. He worked out the numbers and estimated my new costs and monthly payment savings. The numbers looked good and the first time was so easy, so I figured, why not? So, I have now worked with Alex twice to re-finance mortgages... both times were fast efficient and effective. The first one as noted above went off without a hitch. The second, due to an honest mistake of my own, put a snag in my expected credit rating and could have affected the transaction... despite that, Alex worked out an arrangement that still made things work. I find him to be honest and no-nonsense... he is always available by phone or e-mail. As re-financing goes, I think he makes it as easy as possible... he sends things by mail, communicates by e-mail and comes directly to your house for the closing... I'd highly reccommend him, especially for a busy professional with limited time.

Alex was able to get us a great refinance rate with very low closing costs. He is a good guy and very responsive. He took most of the hassle out of the process and even came over to our house to make it convenient for us to sign the documents. The title agent that he works with also came over to our house to do the closing. Alex was good about talking me through the process and answering questions I had. I'd recommend him and would call him again in the future.
