For as stressful as refinancing can be, Alex Echeandia at Eagle Creek Mortgage makes it a cakewalk. We did everything by email and phone, and the closing company came to the house at the time I requested. Closing costs were a low as possible which was a big plus. If you need to refinance and are looking for your guy, stop looking now and call Alex. I could not be happier.

Alex was prompt and professional. Our refi took about 6 weeks from me submitting initial paperwork to close, which I believe is pretty fast. My biggest concern (and the reason we'd dropped a previous broker) was having my questions answered in a reasonably timely manner. I believe it's reasonable to expect a phone call or email within the same day, and Alex was always good about doing that. I would highly recommend, we even got some cash back at signing!

Be very specific as to which type of refinance you want as it does affect the interest rate. Note they only do refinancing on properties where the owner maintains at least 20% equity. This company does only the refinance process and they sell the actual loan to other companies such as Quicken Loans.

Alex did a fantastic job. He did all the leg-work (aside from our collection of our application documents) and kept us updated on the process throughout. He was immediately responsive by email or phone whenever we had questions. The closing was easy and quick, and in the end, we will be saving thousands of dollars. Alex was very accomodating with our questions, even when we decided to switch from one mortgage product, for which he did the paperwork, to another product, which ended up being a better fit for our current financial situation. He secured us a great loan at a great price, and the processing of the loan was quick and painless.

Overall the process went well and it went well because of Alex. Currently there is a bunch of sillyness doing a refinance because of new laws and the backup due to low rates. Normally I would be frustrated with the situation but Alex was extremely helpful in explaining the process and all the steps we would need to go through. If you want someone who will help you through the process and be very responsive to all your many questions, Alex is your man. I will 100% be using him for my next refinance.

Alex was prompt in returning my initial email, and would very quickly reply to any other emails I sent. He initially gave me a good estimate right away. He gave me a good rate up front with just some basic information. After filling out the credit report and loan application, Alex worked with me on the rate because I wanted to pay less cash at closing. He will work with you on what you want do to. My rate increased a bit, but the amount I saved at closing would take me years to aquire with the lower rate. This is what I wanted to do. Alex was a relaxed guy, which may be mistaken as being aloof or too busy, but he is a very diligent worker and was very sincere, considerate, and honest. I thought he moved the ball along very quickly, and I always felt comfortable with asking him questions. He never rushed through any answers, he took the time to make sure I understood. He was not a pushy salesperson. He explained to me how loan officers make their money, and answered questions that I had immediately after closing. He was more than willing to answer any questions.

Wow, we did not expect our loan to take so long (almost 60 days) to close but with so many taking advantage of record low rates that's the nature of the business now? Again, with record low rates, everyone seems to be refinancing or buying. Actually, My wife and I almost totally dropped out of the negotiations, but Alex kept us informed at all times. He returned calls promptly, he calmly explained the process, status, and procedures. Now, we are not rookies and have refinanced before, but I am glad we went through the whole process with Alex and Eagle Creek. We would definitly recommend him and Eagle Creek to our friends.

The rates were great and Alex even covered the cost of a re-lock when the loan company dragged their feet and went beyond our 60 day lock. I would certainly do business with him again.

As I stated I didn't expect this and in my opinion, with the degree of interest this gentleman displayed, It totally contradicted everything I had read or I would have never called. But a a retired soldier, and dealing with customer service for 18 years as well. I don't believe I would deal with someone of this caliber considering the amount of money involved. In all honesty.....

Spoke with Alex Echeandia. He very politely told me that his company wasn't able to help me, but when we got off the phone he took the initiative to do some research on my behalf and called me back a couple hours later to ask if I wanted him to pass my information on to someone else he knew who would be able to help me. Double points for going above and beyond and also for asking before me gave out my contact info!

I started the process to refinance my home with the company that held the mortgage in June, but was dissatisfied with the rate offered. They were not responsive to my questions and concerns, so I started looking for another company. I contacted Eagle Creek and spoke with Alex. He was informative and accommodating from the first phone call. He must work around the clock because he often responded to emails late into the evening. Alex took basic information over the phone and let me know of my qualification status immediately. I received a packet requesting needed materials within a week and the process started. I was very impressed with Alex's constant communication. The process completed without any concerns and I feel so fortunate to have done business with this impeccable company, and more importantly, with Alex.

The process went fine, with the exception of a few delays that were unavoidable. Alex arranged for the closer to come to our house where we signed our documents and the whole thing was done in a little over an hour.

Alex was great to work with! He walked us through our options, and answered any questions we had in an extremely timely fashion. Alex was patient with us when we changed our mind from a 15 year refinance to a 30 year refinance; it required extra work on his part, but he was happy to make it work for us. And when our home didn't appraise for quite as much as we thought/hoped, Alex was still able to work with lenders to find a refinance solution that met our needs. The overall process from start to finish was a bit lengthy (a bit over 2 months)--but that was not due to Alex--just the fact that everyone is refinancing right now and there is a backlog at the bank! I loved working with the closing company as well, as they came to our home--making the transaction very easy and time efficient. We will definitely reach out to Alex again for future mortgage/refinance needs.
