Description of Work: Alex kept the process simple, checked in periodically, and--especially before closing--updated us on our status regularly. His disclosures go above and beyond a typical mortgage broker's. Refinancing a mortgage involves a ton of paperwork, but in the end Alex's help will save us $3,000 a year on mortgage costs.

Description of Work: Alex kept us posted the entire time. Since the mortgage companies are backup it took a while, but Alex made sure we knew what was going on through the whole process.

Description of Work: Used Alex to refinance my mortgage using reference here on Angie's list. I pretty much knew how I would want to finance the loan before I started, and I found Alex to be extremely punctual, and right to the point with what I wanted to execute. No sales pitches, time wasted, hassles, just addressing what I want done. When documents needed to be sent to me from his office, they always arrived FedEx overnight with a return envelope pre-marked for me to easily return. Getting information from Alex was a snap, he responded to my VMs and emails almost immediately. We 60-day locked on our loan rate and were able to close within that window of time. I would recommend Alex for anyone who is financing a home property.

Description of Work: I was extremely frustrated with trying to re-finance my house with Wells Fargo. Every step of the way they would throw a new obstacle in my path. I finally gave up. I decided to give Angie's List a try to see if I could find a mortgage lender. I was so fortunate to come across Alex Echeandia/Eagle Creek Mortgage. The reviews were all so positive, I called Alex and I was not disappointed. Alex listened to my entire saga involving Wells Fargo. Instead of saying, "No thanks, I can't help you" he immediately came up with a creative way to structure my loan. When negative information appeared on my credit report, he suggested how to correct the misinformation and also gave me tips on how to immediately raise my credit score. His strategies worked! The negative misinformation was removed from my credit report and my credit score went up enabling Alex to lower the interest rate on the loan. I hate the mortgage application process! I can truly say Alex is the best lender I have EVER had the pleasure to work with. He is a great listener, very responsive to my questions and needs. Every time I called him, he either answered his phone or called me back within 5-10 minutes. As I mentioned before, he is the only lender who has ever suggested ways to strengthen our loan application and come up with a creative way to finance the loan. He got the loan paperwork to us very quickly and we would have completed the loan process with Alex if our neighbor (a real estate agent) had not suggested now would be a good time to sell our house. She had buyers interested in our neighborhood and houses have been under contract within three weeks. You can bet that we will definitely use Alex's services when we are ready to purchase our next home and I have recommended him to my friends and co-workers.
