The Good:
  • Jim was great to work with on this project. He was very flexible and completed the job (which was a big job) in just a few days.
  • I felt that his price point was very fair for the amount of work that was required.
  • Jim made several recommendations pertaining to the different types of furnaces and hot water heaters.
His crew stayed until the job was done and ensured that all our in-house heating baseboards were working properly with the new system.
The Not so Good:
  • They were very messy and didn't clean up after they finished the job. I had to clean up lots of trash and debris from my basement.
  • The design of their exhaust pipes for both the furnace and hot water heater really are an eyesore on the back of my house. I have to build something around the pipes to hide it. The position of my basement's exterior walls made it challenging, but I felt that they were extremely lazy with this part of the job.

We discovered that our pipes going out to the septic were no longer working. We had our usual plumber and then a few more come out for a and quot;lookand quot;. All were extremely sympathetic and reassured us that our scenario was definitely the worst. The insurance could only help with damages done to the home, but not repairing the pipe or the work. The other plumbers said that our sizable front porch would need to be removed before a trench could be dug from the house to the septic. Our city no longer keeps blue prints on file past a certain date so there were no blue prints to tell where exactly the pipe was. Our veterinarian recommended we give Frederick Plumbing and Heating a call. He came out quickly, appraised the situation and came up with a solution that avoided tearing apart the porch. He rerouted the new pipe and took it out the side of our home closest to the septic tank, dug a trench and attached the pipe into the septic tank. To help us with cost, he gave us time to remove items from our basement (it is not finished and used for storage only) so that he could do the work. When we were ready, we had to be a bit more patient because he is very much sought after from others, but he got here and after two days of work, we have toilets that can flush toilet paper again! He even fixed our outdoor water facet. It was worth waiting for him! And he beat his competitors price by thousands! He has become our usual plumber needless to say.

Jim and his crew were great. The work was immaculate and considering what all was accomplished we were pleased with the price. My only critique was that it took a while for them to get back in touch with us to schedule the work. Other than that, we will be using them for future jobs.

These were small jobs for these guys and I was impressed that they did not make a big deal out of either job and try to charge more. I will call Frederick Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs. I told them I got their name from Angie's List.

This is an outstanding group of folks and I highly recommend them. Because our work was so extensive, much of it was done as time and materials and I am very satisfied with the price and amount of work and professionalism.

We call and tell them what we need, they accomodate OUR schedule and then come when they say they will come and do an excellent, professional job. Today's water service line replacement is the 3rd time we have hired Frederick Plumbing and Heating, and they have been on time and professional all three times. Their prices are among the lowest as well. It's a win-win with Frederick Plumbing and Heating. All nice guys, too!
