• The entire effort went smoothly and quickly from initial contact through to final clean-up. Owner and CEO, Rod personally visited to estimate system price and provide overall design. Work was scheduled promptly and was executed on time. This was a fixed price, completely turnkey project. I highly recommend Rod & his company.

We hired FH last year to install an 8 zone system on about .21 acres. They came out, did a very professional job installing the system. They came out in the fall to winterize, and again did a good job. Even the spring reset went without issue.


That was the good part.


Things not done right:

Mislabeled our zones

Took 7 months to get a diagram of where the sprinkler heads were located and it was wrong.   

When asked to drop off parts, due to some new yard construction, they charged $80 even though the tech was on his way to another job.

We almost had our water turned off by the city this summer due to FH marking our residence with the wrong address and sent our back flow test to Leesburg City incorrectly.


We have tried to voice these concerns in multiple emails to no avail.

I had signed an agreement for FountainheadIrrigation to start up my system in the spring at a rate of $165.00 for the visit.  I chose the company because it was local and easier to have come to my house even though they charge 50% more than my old company.  The technician was pleasant and on time but he spent little time doing nothing more than reporting that there is no power to the back part of the system and repairs are needed.    I received a repair estimate by email shortly of $355 to repair the nozzles and leak at one head and $120 for the broken roter, plus another $1200.00 for the up to two hours to repair each of the other four zones.  The total was $1675.00.  I was flabbergasted and declined to accept the contract.  I received a bill for $165.00 for the technician and I was appalled to be paying so much for 20 minutes leaving the system not running.  I contacted another company to give me an estimate and they told me to make sure the water was turned off to the system because a cut in the wire may also mean a cut piece of pipe and a constant water leak.  I shut off the valve.    On 5/25/11 I contacted the FountainheadIrrigation and spoke to the owner's wife and expressed my dismay and dissatisfaction at the charge of $165.00 and the estimated charges for repairs.  She said that the charges are only estimated and that they would charge up to the $1675.00 which I concluded makes it likely that the work will reach that maximum.
