If you still appreciate great customer service, a friendly professional with in-depth knowledge and experience about all things garage doors - look no more! Allen is simply great. He was punctual (so glad he started working at 8:00 a.m) and explained all aspects of my new opener including how to prevent the device from malfunctioning. This is my second day as a Frederick resident and he shared some local favorites as well. Very glad to have done business with East Coast Doors!!

I called East Coast Door and they set me up an appt that same week. I told them the problem and we agreed the garage door opener would need to be replaced. Allen installed the new unit and we love it. So much quieter! We highly recommend East Coast Door!

Alan was excellent. Very professional and very skilled. He had given me a ballpark estimate when we talked on the phone, but once here we agreed to do additional work on the doors. Had that not been done, his estimate was right on target. Alan repaired 1 garage door and strengthened 2 others. He replaced the springs on 1 garage door, repaired the garage door opener eye on 1 door, lubricated the garage door tracks and adjusted all garage door openers. I was very pleased with the work done.

Allan Joy is the owner of the business was very professional, honest and pleasant to deal with. He examined the door and discussed with me and recommend all the necessary repairs. His wife who takes care of phone orders was equally nice and helpful. Allan showed up on time and picked up all broken parts and hauled away with him. I will definitely recommend them for family and friends. He even find me a replacement remote controlled opener that I needed.

His wife answers the phone and was very helpful. She asked a lot of clarifying questions to get detailed information, so her husband, the owner, can come prepared to fix the door. I went into the service thinking I would have to replace the garage door entirely, but I did not and it ended up being cheaper than I planned. East Coast Doors were on time, personable, and honest.

Alan came out right away to diagnose a broken door opener. He explained everything and gave me options for repair. I opted for a new opener and he did a great job with the new install. Everything is nice and neat. Would definitely recommend him and will use him in future if I need anything.

Highly recommended.wInitial visit and quote process was as painless and friendly as anyone would want. Reviewed options for installed garage doors and opener. We chose an uninsulated steel door with windows and a non-WiFi enabled opener.
Pricing was extremely competitive. Three weeks to install and received the appointment call exactly within promised time frame.
Showed up on time and installation took approx 3 hours. They encountered a minor problem with garage outlet and they resolved it themselves.
Reviewed operation including power out procedure and reprogramming exterior keypad if that should become necessary.
Note: Opener does not come with lightbulbs (x2) so went out and got 2x 60W CFL equals and installed. They are happy to install if you have bulbs on hand.
Extremely pleased with every detail of this purchase.

The repare/replacement failed after about 2 weeks.  A clamp came loose and the door failed to work.  The owner came the next morning and corrected the problem and no charge.  The office manager thought there would be a charge but the owner identified the clamp he had installed as the one that failed.  There was no charge incured. The clamp failure was an install problem not the clamps failure, and this is the only reason for a good instead of excellent rating.
