E R Roofing Co

Our biggest problem with ER Roofing was the length of time, and number of calls, it took to get these them to come do the work. We played phone tag at first (in March when we purchased the Angie's list deal), and eventually, I never heard back from them. I continued to call and never received a return call. I finally had my husband call them and he received a return call (end of May). I'm not sure if this is a small shop and they are understaffed, but if you are going to offer a deal on Angie's it seems you should be prepared to take and return calls. The final job was done at the end of June and my husband said the representative was on time, polite, and did a good job explaining the task and what needed to be done. So, in the end, the work was good, but it took a long time to hear back from them.

Received estimate and contract in a timely manner. Lowest bidder; also included a roof vent and 30 lb felt. Arrived on time on scheduled workday. Roof replacement and clean-up were completed before noon Quality of work appears to be excellent.

I allowed ~2 weeks lead time from estimate to completed repairs only to learn I should have allowed 3 weeks. Elliott R. Wireman (owner, E.R. Roofing) arrived on time. Without being asked and without complaint, he patiently waited out of sight for another salesman who would not allow me to persuade him to arrive later and whose location was closer than Mr. Wireman's own. Mr. Wireman (a direct, unpretentious craftsman) looked over everything and sent a very reasonable estimate later on as promised. Having just become financially able to pay for the repairs to this damage caused by the 29.Jun.12 Derecho, I faced a deadline of 26 family members set to arrive the next day for dinner (more than several of which can be very inquisitive and very judgmental). All of the work was completed professionally at a reasonable price by two employees and Mr. Wireman, all of whom were hard-working and just as easy to be with as Mr. Wireman, himself. It was a privilege to have them here. I am going to contact Mr. Wireman's brother (Derek; Wireman Renovations) to address mild interior damage created by the roof damage.Prior to retirement, I had run factories with skilled engineers, laboratory personnel, etc. as well as others. I would highly recommend E.R. Roofing to anyone who is oriented to simply getting the job done right, the first time, no problems or long conversations, and at a reasonable price. I like E.R. Roofing very, very much.

Paid the for $349.00 "special" roof repair on 3/9/13. Sent email and called roofer and left VM asking him to call and set up appt. Having received no response, on 3/13/13 I called and left another message and sent another email. This time i got an email response back stating he would call me to come out the following day (Sat.). SInce I had heard nothing from him, I already had plans and emailed him for the 3rd time telling him Sat. was no good, how about next Thurs. or Fri.? After two weeks of not hearing anything (and having already PAID), on 3/28/13 we canceled the charge on the credit card... THEN we finally got an email from him, and he was ready to "come out." He stated he never got any of my VM's left on his cell phone, but even IF that was true, he DID get the emails which reiterated what I had said in my VM so that's not a very good excuse! No thanks! I don't like paying "up front" and I especially don't like not hearing from the person you paid (for weeks) until you cancel the charge! Completely unprofessional.

Elliot the owner of the roofing company is very good. I can understand why he is highly rated. They did a very good job, they had great follow through, were timely and I was very satisfied.

Found ER Roofing on Angie's List. Called to set up an estimate. Elliott Wireman called back about two days later and set up an appointment. He was very professional providing a packet with information of all materials to be used, copies of his license and qualifications, and reference listings. They were one of five estimates that I got for the job. I thoroughly reviewed all materials to be used and found that ER was not only providing more/better materials than the other companies but they also underbid all of the others by at least a thousand dollars or more. I decided to upgrade the quality of the shingles anyway and later added replacing all guttering. Elliott was extremely fair in what additional expenses I was adding. He said the entire job would take one day for the roof and one day extra for the guttering. The entire job took a day and a half. The quality of the work was outstanding and all of the workers were friendly and professional. The only negative was a single shingle wrapper left in one of the trees next to the house which I considered to be very minor. When they finished, I had a beautiful architectural shingled home. I would highly recommend this company and found it refreshing that quality work could still be found at a reasonable price.

I've reached out several times and they have not contacted me back. Their mailbox is full, so they're not checking it. They may want to upgrade their system. I contacted Angie's List advised the staff of my difficulty with this company; Angie's List contacted E R Roofing Co informed them of my attempts to contact them & my displeasure; Angie's List requested that E R Roofing Co contact me immediately. E R Roofing Co did not respond to Angie's List nor did the contact me! based upon the principles of Angie's List, E R Roofing Co does not meet the requirements to be on Angie's list. Based upon the lack of response by E R Roofing Co., I canceled and demanded refund of my funds! I'll be going to use another company and would not recommend E R Roofing Co too anyone.

The roofers kept the appointment on time, quickly identified the problem, chaulked around the the chimney, and the leak was fixed in about 10 minutes.

This roof maintenance package came at a great time due to the hole from a falling branch. I also had several torn shingles which were replaced. Elliott and his co-worker fixed it in no time. I was especially pleased with the work for the following reason -- the deal said that the shingles were to be provided by the owner. Elliott supplied them and did not charge me. I also got an estimate to replace my roof. His price was SIGNIFICANTLY less than another estimate for the identical product, registered and warrantied by the manufacturer. He is definitely in the running to get my business. This was a great deal offered at the right time. The only reason I marked down responsiveness was because I played a little more telephone tag than I expected.

Elliott showed up a day or two after we contacted him and said it might be as simple as a caulking problem or may require a more serious approach. He gave me a price of $600 for the latter. Since this had been a trouble spot over the years I agreed to the $600. They showed up for the repair about a week later (we had considerable rain during that period which made it difficult for Elliott to maintain his schedule). It turned out that the problem was not trivial and a water proof membrane, new flashing, and new shingles were required. He and his co-worker showed up at 5 pm and finished by 7:30. I was impressed by their thoroughness, hard work, and professionalism. While it is too early to know if the roof leak is repaired, I am confident that they will return, if required, to ensure that the job was done right. They did honor the $50 Angie's List coupon for the repair.

The entire relationship with Eliot worked out great, He arrived at our house at the time he said to give an estimate on a roof repair job on short notice. When we scheduled the repair work he arrived 30 minuters earlier than he said he would be here which was fine. He was professional while here, did the work, explained to us what problem was, how the problem occurred, and suggestions to improve the situation. Thanks, Eliot so much for being available to help us!

Arrived on time and worked quickly, tore off old roof, which was 2 layers and installed new shingles with all the extras, 24 squares in 1 day. I chose ER because they are certified to give a 4 star guarantee by Certainteed. I received several estimates and they were the lowest with the level of work I wanted. Others were close, some were several thousand dollars more. I spoke to Elliot several times and he always responded quickly and resolved my concerns.

We made a deal on the price. Showed up timely. Worked quickly. Workers courteous. Clean-up all debris. Perfect!

The Roofing job went better than I had expected. My house has over 4000 sq. ft of roof with several valleys & skylights & projections. All of this was dealt with superbly & quickly, the job taking only 1 & 1/2 days. The old roofing was removed first. The material was architectural grade. I had obtained several estimates from roofers listed in Angie's, all of whom were offering a special. Elliott beat all of them in price & in warranty, in some cases very significantly. Elliott oversaw the job from beginning to end. The clean up was excellent. The crew had forgotten to replace several rain diverters. When I called Elliott, he responded rapidly, & they were installed quickly. I am very pleased with the work & would recommend ER Roofing to anyone needing roofing work The only problem I had was not with the job itself but with the delivery company. All the materials were delivered the day before the job was to begin on a large 40,000 ton flatbed truck with 2 men. The truck was loaded with material for 3-4 jobs. The men unloaded the truck using a crane on the truck directly onto my roof. There was only one place they could reach the roof. That was from my driveway down to my garage. The driveway is wide enough for only 1 car. The driver drove down the driveway & parked on it to unload. The areas of the driveway(macadam) where the tires of the truck sat were damaged with the macadam becoming depressed & cracked. I had some driveway repair material & the driver did help me repair one area. The other areas, I had to have repaired later. I think that the load on the truck was to heavy for this driveway, & that should have been recognized by the driver before he went down it. Even if that meant a delay in having to return with something lighter or placing some protective sheeting on the driveway itslelf, that would have been preferable. The delivery company was in noway affiliated with E R Roofing & Elliott was not there on delivery

Overall, the job was done correctly and on time. Minor defects were corrected promptly and without argument. An issue that arose regarding materials used was dealt with professionally by Elliott and he proved to me that the materials were up to code. His office made a billing mistake and charged me twice. Since the money at stake was considerable ($3,000) this caused serious inconvenience with my finances since I had to pay the money first. Elliott, however, was responsive when the error was pointed out and promptly refunded the double payment. Even though the double charge on such amount of money was a serious error, I rate the whole experience with this firm as a B, because of the owner's responsiveness and professionalism. Everyone makes mistakes.

They were wonderful, they were the best. I chose them because they were the most professional and because they came in with the most competitive price. They did the work and they always showed up on time and they cleaned up beautifully after every day of work. That was important because I have horses down there and I can't afford them to step on nails. They did everything they said they would and I couldn't have been happier. I had a big rainstorm and so far no problems, no leaks. So I am very happy with them. The owner is extremely responsive. They were wonderful to deal with.

I was very happy with the work that Elliot and his crew did. At our first meeting, Elliot showed up on time, in the rain and got up on our roof to estimate costs and take measurements. He talked me through all the work that would need to be done. His pricing was the most competitive of the three roofers we looked at and he used comparable (or better quality) materials than competitors. His team showed up on time and worked throughout the day and when I came home from work the entire roof, 4 skylights, and new gutters were all installed without a trace of them even being there. There was some debris under one of the skylights which is to be expected. When they took out the skylight some of the trim on the interior was taken with it, which wasn't ideal. Great cleanup outside. He found an issue with some wood trim that needed to be replaced and called me during the job to tell me the issue and that it would cost as much as $400 to fix. I was ultimately charged $200 above the quoted price because of the unforeseen wood issue. In all fairness there wasn?t any way to tell that this wood was corroded. Elliot was easy to reach via phone but less responsive via email. Overall they did a great job. I would recommend for the quality of work, materials, price, speed, and clean up.

Elliott showed up promptly at the time we had agreed to meet. He knew immediately what the problem was with the roof leak and was able to take care of all three problems in less than an hour. We discussed the possibility of replacing the roof in the near future. He was very courteous and professional. The shutter and siding repairs were completed to my satisfaction. The roof repair has stood up to several heavy rains in the two weeks since the work was done with no more dripping through the bathroom ceiling. The cost seemed a bit high for work that was completed so quickly, but it was definitely worth it to me to get these problems fixed. I was favorably impressed with their work and will consider using them to do the full roof replacement.

Elliott came out an assessed the job personally and gave me a bid lower than advertised. I paid a deposit, we agreed on shingle color and set a date. They showed up on time, did a professional job, and the cleanup was great. Very easy to work with and stuck by his commitments...no surprises.

ER Roofing showed up on time and did the job on the spot. Our problem was a sporadic bay window leak that I have been trying to solve for 4 months by spraying water at my house and seeing what happens. The bay window is on the front of our house that has a brick facing. ER Roofing did not claim to know anything about masonry and how it could potentially leak and only addressed the roof which was their domain of expertise. This means I still need to call a masonry contractor but I actually appreciate it when a contractor admits what they do not know. ER Roofing resealed the bay window roof to the brick facing as a first step towards solving our sporadic leak. Only time will tell if this is the solution, but our house is 10 years old so resealing the bay window was probably a good idea regardless.

Good service, fair price. I'm happy with the work and the individuals who did the work. I would recommend ER Roofing.

Our gutters had failed and water was seeping into our basement so I called Elliott for an estimate. Next thing I knew he was up on my roof assessing the situation and making measurements. The roof had seen better days and the gutters were too small for the pitch of the roof, which I'd gathered from previous estimates. His proposal, including the coupon advertised on Angie's List, was very reasonable. He worked with me on scheduling and fit us in promptly. Materials were delivered on schedule and the roof went up in one day (his crew were the hardest workers I've ever seen). Gutters came next and with leaf guards! What a relief not to have to worry about water in our basement and have a little left over in our budget for more home improvements.

I called spoke with Elliot Wireman and we scheduled for last Thursday between 1-3. Never called or showed up, The Worst contractor !!!!!

ER arrived on time and completed the job promptly.

Elliott's crew showed up promptly at 7 am (actually waking my dog, daughter and I up). By 3:00 pm they were done, roof and gutter guards. Roof looks GREAT and Elliott's crew was professional and polite. 3 weeks later - I've only found one or two nails on the ground.
