We were quite happy with Cozi. I will recommend them.
Description of Work: We used the services of Cozi Company. They put in a number of windows for us. I think they put in more than ten windows. We had a sun room. So I think it was around 15 windows.

Thomas did the installation about three weeks after we signed the contract. He and his helper installed all 14 in about a day and a half. Installation really was a breeze, I was concerned it might be hard with my almost 2 year old running around, but Thomas was great at interacting with him and very conscientious of the fact he was wandering around. They cleaned up both inside and out, you would have never known so much work was done in such a short period of time. The windows look amazing - we have gotten so many compliments from neighbors. We couldn't be happier with our experience and we look forward to finishing the remaining 5 windows and a door with Cozi in the future.
Description of Work: Byron and Thomas replaced 14 windows in our 1950's rancher. We spent many many hours having the "big names" - Thompson Creek, Anderson, Pella - come through to quote our project. What a waste of time! Not only were their prices really high, but they put a lot of pressure on you to sign a contract that day. After feeling frustrated and dejected, we found Cozi Company on Angie's a List and gave Byron a call. Byron was out within a week to give us a quote, he was very up front and honest, explained all of the various options -high end vs. middle ground vs. low end - and sent us a quote later that night for two different options - Anderson (composite) and Paradigm (vinyl). He let us know up front that if the budget wasn't lining up, he could find more cost effective options. There was never any pressure, and he even made another trip out to show us the differences in the windows in person. Ultimately we opted for the Paradigm windows and couldn't be happier!

Prior to joining Angie’s List, I tried to do my homework on windows and had interviewed two other venders, one with a lower end product and one high end, though neither felt like a good fit as a source of vinyl replacement windows for my twenty-year-old townhouse. My goal was to find a mid-range product, but more importantly I wanted a reliable installation. I decided that whoever earned the initial contract would install windows only on the front of the house, rather than the whole house, in case I ended up being less than satisfied with either the product, the installation, or both. I then joined Angie’s List. With plenty of positive comments, I contacted Cozi Construction, who have installed the front windows in “phase one” and recently completed installation of the rear windows. I am satisfied with the product and the job. As other reviews have mentioned, co-owner Byron serves as the sales person and explained the features of the Paradigm windows, which I eventually chose. His approach is informative without being a stereotypical salesman. Co-owner Thomas, assisted by Marlin, did the installation. Starting after 7 a.m. with an obvious systematic approach, the two-man crew worked steadily, neatly, and conscientiously through the morning and completed both installations by lunch time. For the consumer the installation process was relatively painless. With the builder-grade windows thankfully gone, I have yet to monitor whether I’m seeing significant savings on heating bills; however, traffic noise seems less aggravating, the bay window area does not seem to be a heat pocket, and the windows just seem more substantial. Thanks, Cozi, for a positive experience.

We could not ask for better product and service. We had previously had them install windows on another floor about 3 years ago. We were so please that we finally had all the other windows installed this spring. We recommended Cozi to our neighbors and they had other estimates, but finally hired Cozi and were very happy with the installation. I will keep on recommending Cozi.
Description of Work: We had eleven windows replaced. Cozi was prompt and cleaned up after the installation that one would never guess anywork was done except , of course the new windows!

Cozi came as a recommendation from a friend, intially. I then read the reviews on Angies List and decided to contact them at the beginning of April. We arranged to meet and discuss our window replacement project on April 12. We met with Byron, one of the owners. He was so informative, professional and courteous, he made us feel very comfortable with this big decision to replace our 12 windows. We had a high price (from Thompson Creek), a low price (Window World of Frederick) and decided we needed something in the middle - and that is just wher Cozi landed - actually, slightly less than the middle which was a bonus. After some thinking, about a week later I contacted Byron to let him know we were ready to move ahead with the project. He immediately sent me a contract, which was very clear and included all of the information we had discussed. We decided to go with the Simonton 5500 replacement window. Initially we were told the windows would be ordered and take about 2 weeks to arrive, but they would not be able to install them for about 4 weeks, which was fine for us, putting installation date towards the end of May. I received a phone call the first week of May to let me know that they had finished a job early, creating a free day, and would like to schedule us for installation on May 9. We were very happy to hear of the opening in the schedule and jumped at the opportunity. 2 guys came for installation, one being the other owner. The were punctual and got right to work, having 4 of our old windows out in the first 30 minutes. The installation probably took about 7 hours. The house was very clean when they were finished. They took a lot of care to not make a mess and were great about cleaning up after the installation was complete. 2 weeks into having our new windows, we love them (they have made the house very quiet when closed). The quality of the installation makes the windows we purchased that much better - everything is caulked and sealed and just feels more sound, than the builder grades that were there before. I feel they did a great install job, and this was all around the best choice we could have made. We'll be using Cozi in the future, as needed.

We have an older home and decided to have 15 windows replaced, and a new bay window installed in the kitchen. We didn't want to lose any glass area, so we didn't want the kind of replacement windows that fit a new frame inside the old frame. We got several estimates, but every time I looked at the glass area on the recommended windows, they turned out to be pocket inserts, just by a different name. I was told that any other option would be far more expensive. Not true. Someone recommended Cozi Company to us, and we were very happy with the results. For approximately the same price, Byron said they would remove the old frames completely and insert new windows. I didn't lose any glass area and the windows look great from inside and out. Byron was really great. He was very responsive to all our concerns, answered all of our questions openly and honestly, and worked with us to keep the costs down. His partner, Thomas, and his assistant, Marlin, who did the installation, did a great job. They are very personable, cleaned up thoroughly each day, and really know what they are doing. We love the new windows. I highly recommend Cozi Company, especially if you don't want the pocket inserts that the bigger companies are pushing. I don't think Cozi can stay a small company for long, with the quality of their work and their competitive pricing, so if you need new windows, don't wait too long.
Description of Work: Replaced 15 windows with Andersen windows and installed a new bay window in the kitchen, which entailed cutting away part of a brick wall, framing and roofing the bay, and installing the bay window.

We live in an older home with the original windows none of which were currently working. We finally decided it was time to replace all the windows in the house. We called and got estimates from several companies, but were really turned off by the (1) price and/or quality and (2) very high pressured sales pitch. A trusted friend had just gotten her windows replaced by Cozi Company and referred us to them. We liked Byron Miller immediately. He came in and listened to what we were looking for. He was especially attentive to our concern about the lead paint present in our house and our worry about lead paint dust given that we have 3 young children. We also asked him to look at a troublesome french door in our basement. The outside trim and flashing was rotting. He answered all of our questions very patiently and gave us an estimate - no sales gimmicks nor pressure to sign with him. Not only did we love the quality of his windows, but his estimate was very competitive with the other companies we had met with. Furthermore, we felt we could trust Byron to do a great job. We scheduled the job as soon as the windows came in. His partner arrived promptly when promised. They worked carefully, but quickly. And, they cleaned up everything. Several neighbors remarked on how impressed they were with the work after watching the windows get installed. We were absolutely thrilled with the results. The windows work great and we enjoy opening them whenever possible! And, they did a fantastic job on replacing the rotted wood around the french door. A couple of months ago, we had some plantation shutters installed. We were having trouble removing some residue tape from some paper blinds we had used temporarily on the new windows. I called Byron to ask for his advice on what type of product we could use and he called me back within minutes with a suggestion. That dedication to customer service exemplifies the kind of company Cozi Company represents. If we even need any door or window work done in the future, we know that we will call on Cozi Company to do the work. We highly recommend Byron Miller and his company.
Description of Work: Replacement of all of the windows in the house with special consideration given to minimize lead paint dust/disruption. Replacement of the trim and flashing around a french door in our basement.

I feel lucky to have found this company through a recommendation from a neighbor/friend. Other companies I got bids from (at least 5) did not provide the same level of service and responsiveness in the bidding stage so as soon as I started working with Cozi, I knew I would be using them even if the price was higher which it happily was not. Cozi provided a very competitive bid. This combined with excellent customer service, experience and knowledge of windows made the decision to go with Cozi an easy one. The installation of 13 windows was done very efficiently in less than 1 day with no problems and minimum disruption and mess. Truly a first-rate company.

They are just three people and that's why I like them and deal with them. I would recommend them. I thought they were very businesslike. They gave me the most configured estimate. They told me exactly what they were going to do and then they came and did it that actually matter. It was very nice and excellent. The customer service was fine. There was one man that left the door open occasionally and it was a concern as I have a cat and I didn't want it to go out. When they were here, I ensured that the cat is locked in the room but once I couldn't find him. Otherwise I was very happy with the job they did. The price was very reasonable. The quality of the work was excellent.
Description of Work: Cozi Company LLC installed all new windows for my house and they clamped the grill as well. They also installed sliding on two doors in front of the house. The last time they did the work around 3 or 4 months ago.

They did a good job. The experience went well. Byron was our contact and he was friendly, responsive and professional. He was flexible as well. The quality of the product that they installed was very high. We've had the windows for almost three years and have had no trouble with them. They were responsive with getting an estimate to us. The estimate was thorough and specific. I mostly dealt with Byron as opposed to the office. But, the couple of times I interacted with the office they were fine.

The entire team was professional, amiable, responsible, and responsive. Byron, who came to take measurements and my order, offered great advice and was flexible enough to use a window brand that they don't do a lot of work with. The team of 3 who came out to do the work was fast, efficient and friendly. They also cleaned up after themselves as they went along and were very conscious about not leaving debris for my dogs to get into and not letting my dogs sneak out the doors. In removing my bay window, they discovered a problem with the underlying house facade and instead of proceeding (the new roof would cover the problem), they found a brick mason who came out within a few hours. They coordinated with the brick mason, including going with him to purchase supplies that would match my existing facade, and working out a good deal on pricing. Because of the brick problem, they had to come back the next business day to finish up the bay window. They did a great job. I was very happy with the team and the work that they did. I would happily recommend them and work with them again.
Description of Work: They replaced 5 bedroom windows as pocket replacements and replaced a bay window as a full tear-out replacement. They were willing to work with a manufacturer that they don't normally do a lot of work with in order to match existing windows in the house.

They were incredibly helpful. They came right away to visit my home. Not high pressure sales. They brought samples to my home. I chose to use them due to the high quality products and service. They were tremendously knowledgeable. I used Anderson Wood windows in the front and Paradigm Vinyl in the back of the home. They gave me references and addresses of others who have used Cozi for window installation. We visited with 4 other home-owners who were just absolutley delighted with their windows and installation. It took 3 days to complete the project. The co-owner who did the installation with an assistant had previously worked for Anderson and really knew what he was doing. They quoted me windows from low to high price. I wanted windows that would give me the energy tax credit. I am thrilled with the windows! I have a big bay window in the front that looks great! I have received compliments from strangers on the street on my new bay window. Cozi was very patient as we walked through the estimate. They answered all of my questions and checked with me by asking, "Would that be okay"? They told me each day where they would be and where they be working. I work from home and they were very accommadating. They cleaned up after themselves each day and left my home looking immaculate! When the job was finished, the man who sold me my windows inspected the work done and caught one small flaw - a bend in a window. He replaced it without any additional charge to me. There has been a noticable difference in the cool temperature I feel in my home during this hot summer weather. I would HIGHLY recommend them to other Angie's List members.
Description of Work: They installed 22 new windows in my home.
