Arrived on time. explained what they do. laid out drop clothes over a area. Had at it. one guy brushed while another vacuumed. They took extra time with trouble spots. Took photos of the chimney walls. Priced up the repairs I would need. Pulled the drop clothes without a spill and were gone. Great service.

Everything was great from the initial phone call to the vendor to the actual completion of the work.  Everything was performed in a very professional manner and the chimney looks great!  I would highly recommend Chimney Care Plus for any of your chimney needs.  I will certainly be calling them for any chimney issues in the future.

Pretty good.  My only complaint is that I would have preferred a little more explanantion of the stove since I discovered the ash tray underneath and the ash plate needs to be removed to be cleaned per the manufacturer.  I learned this by reading the owner's manual and cleaned this myself afterwards.

They did a great job! Prompt, courteous, and I believe they didn't give me any sales pitches or try to scare me with any false statements about the condition of the chimney. Would definitely recommend them, and I plan to use them again to get an updated safety inspection before I sell the home.

Larry and crew came at the scheduled appointment.. He was very professional and pleasant. He inspected my two- factory built wood burning fireplaces. Both were in good condition and there were no problems.Larry also gave me tips on using the fireplaces more efficiently.
I would recommend him highly and would use him again if needed in the future.

Larry Miller is not about wasting his customers money and will not insist on cleaning a chimney that really doesn't need it. This is the second time I have used Chimney Care Plus. Last year Larry installed a chimney cap damper that has eliminated the our problems with a draft blowing through my home, especially on those cold windy days in the winter, Larry also resealed my cracked chimney crown and brick and mortar which were already suffering deterioration from the elements.

Water was leaking in around the top of the brick chimney. I was able to e-mail
pictures of the area to him. He was able to give me all the details.
All the very old material needed to be taken off. He sent me a picture of
the finished job. The price does not reflect the coupon I used.
I would use this service again for any chimney work.

We are selling our home and agreed to have our chimney inspected and cleaned prior to settlement. After paying another company $250 to clean and inspect our chimney and tell us we needed about $3,500 worth of work done, I brought in Chimney Care Plus for a second bid. I should have brought them in first! Larry and a tech. had performed a chimney inspection at this property in 2008 and were fabulous then -- excellent work, fair price, did not perform unnecessary work. They told us we did not need to clean our chimney and to hold off until the spring and clean it after the winter season.

This time around Larry inspected the chimney and provided a free estimate and sealed cracks in the chimney crown for $425, instead of replacing the crown and performing other work that did not need to be done, but that the other company wanted to perform.

Larry Miller defines and quot;professionalismand quot;. He offers the utmost in competence, trustworthiness, and responsiveness. He took time to explain and educate me. And we needed a quick turnaround on this work and he came to our house at 8 a.m. within days of our phone call and got the job done quickly. He has a fabulous office manager who does a great job of communicating and scheduling. We are just delighted with the entire experience and highly recommend Larry Miller and Chimney Care Plus!!

I do not know how this company works when they do chimney work, their estimate was too high for me to fix the chimney. This report is about the carpenter, Glenn Bell, that works with or for the company (I was told he was a partner in the company by the Mr. Bell). Larry Miller, owner of Chimney Care Plus, told me that Glenn Bell was a talented carpenter and would do great work. NOT SO!
Kitchen plywood underlay countertop - I told him not to screw down the countertop portion for the sink but he not only screwed it down he glued it down.
Kitchen cabinets were a battle, I had to fight to get the cabinets installed they way I knew they had to go. Two cabinets had to be notched to go over a log and he was supposed to cover the opening but he didn't cover the two cut outs.
The out house roof was replaced but the vent pipe is now crooked and I can see daylight thru the roof where the vent pipe goes thru the roof.
The front exterior stairs were impossible to use. Only 25 inches wide, all the steps were different heights and I had to have him move one top sill over to even get the 25 inches. Bottom step was 9 3/8 inches high and the top step wasonly 4 1/2 inches high. All the other steps were slightly different heights. Definitely not to code and dangerous. I had to tear them out and replace the entire unit.
I told him I planned to use any scrap plywood and yet he left it outside and well away from the cabin, I had to haul it back inside out of the weather. Mr. Bell generally left a big mess behind.
I told him that when he left to ensure that the cabin was closed up (shutters and windows) and that the doors were locked. When I went over the shutters and windows were not closed, some were wide open, The door to a storage area with many of my supplies was left completely open and he was specifically told to lock that door.
Tools were left outside, some were damaged, materials left scattered here and there. All in all a terrible carpenter and I would actively discourage anyone from ever hiring Glenn Bell.
I tried to work with Mr. Miller and asked for a refund for part of the work since it had to be replaced, he refused to acknowledge my request. I then went thru the Better Business Bureau but Mr. Miller was emphatically uncooperative.
How the work on chimneys is, I have no idea but NEVER hire him or Mr. Bell as a carpenter.
