About us
Carefree Kitchens, Inc. was founded in 1987, in Linthicum Heights, MD, at the location of what is now a company showroom. Originally operating as a wholesale only manufacturer of kitchen and bath cabinets and counters, Carefree continued to grow and expand its products to include the distribution of stock and semi-custom cabinets In 1990 Carefree opened its first showroom, very small by today’s standards, and began selling to the public for the first time. Our first showroom consisted of two kitchen displays and a few dozen sample doors. In contrast, our present day Linthicum Heights showroom boasts fifteen full displays as well as several vignettes and hundreds of door samples from which our clients can make selections.
