+ 1 moreMy family and I have been taking our cars to David Ludewig and his team at Bill and Earl’s Transmission in Frederick Maryland for all our auto repairs needs for over twenty years. He is extremely knowledgeable about car repair - there is no one else I trust to work on my cars and to perform routine maintenance and repairs. Dave’s great work is helping me keep my fifteen year old car (with 245,000 mile), and my new car (with 50,000 miles) on the road running smoothly. After each service the car is returned to me clean and he shows me the work he has done and the parts that were replaced. He never pushes additional repairs that are not need. His pricing is fair and reasonable and he (and his team ) treat their customers with respect. Whenever I have a car care/repair question I never hesitate to stop by and ask Dave as I know he will listen respectively and provide an honest answer. Dave and his team provide quick repair service and excellent customer service. When my friends and coworkers ask about auto repair facilities I always recommend David and his team. I highly recommend David Ludewig at Bill and Earl’s Transmission in Frederick Maryland for their high quality work, excellent customer service and reasonable pricing.

+ 0 moreThey do all sorts of auto repairs but their specialty is transmission. It's a small shop but they do excellent and great work. The owner David Ludewig and the other guys in the shop were nice. We have never felt that we were being taken advantage and he's always honest.
Description of Work: Bill & Earl's transmission did an oil change, checked my brakes and reloaded all the fluids.

+ -1 moreI was shocked at the price but that's because this was my first car with an Automatic Transmission. I was used to replacing a clutch or simply adjusting one... When I checked around, I found that the price was VERY competitive.
Description of Work: The automatic transmission on our old 1991 Ford Taurus literally "ground to a halt" one day. The noise came from the transmission. Dave Ludewig, the owner, had the car towed to his shop where they removed and re-manufactured the transmission and reinstalled it. We drove the car another 200,000 miles before trading it in. The transmission was regularly serviced at Bill & Earls and that's probably why it lasted so long.
