The whole project went beautifully. Mike Benner met with us to evaluate the system and describe mitigation options within the architectural structure of our house, then arrived punctually on the day we had set for the work. He capped the passive system we had and routed a new pipe through the wall and along the outside to the roof, installing a fan and electrical connection. He was careful to place it unobtrusively, and to match the caulk and paint for the pipe to the house trim color. He carefully explained exactly what he had done and how the system worked, and how we should monitor it monthly. He left a test kit for us to use next week; the lab results will go to him as well as coming to us. His contract guarantees that radon will be reduced to below 4 pCi/l for the life of our home. Mike was knowledgable, professional, efficient, and thorough.

Mr. Benner has been in business for 16 years and he still has the energy of a new business entrepreneur. He was recommended by the radon level testing company we secured to test our newly built home, which was completed in September 2014. Our levels were in the and quot;7and quot; level, only about 2x the level recommended for active remediation. According to Mr. Benner, he has remediated buildings with levels above 100 in the past. He was very professional, knowledgeable, punctual, flexible and informative. I highly recommend Mr. Benner and his company for your radon remediation projects.
He also provided as part of the remediation cost, a radon level detection kit with pre-paid postage to be sent to an evaluation company, the results of which were to be emailed back to me. Essentially, he provided a test-based assurance that his work met the standards he'd specified.

He did an amazing job! Right on time, in budget, effective and it looks great because he used pipes that mimic gutters on the outside.

I had done several radon measurements since we occupied our new construction home and was seeing radon levels of between 2.0-4.0 pCi/L and I decided I would like to have the problem resolved. I did my usual Google searches and came upon Benner GeoTech and I must say on the first phone call to Mike, I was immediately impressed with his level of professionalism and questions being asked to estimate and schedule the job. We had a few back and forth phone calls in order to get my date scheduled since he is always quite busy doing remediations, but it was worth the few week wait time for Mike. I had also contacted others concerning their mitigation servers, but was not impressed with their manner on the phone nor price.
MIke called me the night before in order to get my address location and to be sure he was going to be driving to the right place. He arrived promptly around 8:15am and started his work right away asking to see the basement and upstairs areas that he would need access to. Throughout my experience with Mike he was always listening to my questions/concerns and was always eager to educate on the topic of radon and how these systems work. Mike always removed his shoes and made sure to put down a new blanket to catch any insulation from the attic hatch space. He was able to quickly install the radon removal fan in the attic space, wire it up, and install the necessary fan monitoring in the basement pipe in a little over 1hr. This was quick due to the fact the house already had a passive pipe installed into the sump area from the builder. A test kit with fully paid for shipping was included to verify the mitigation system was working after a couple of days. I have my own digital tester and after 48hrs (*hard reset) the levels went from 3.7 down to 0.5 pCi/L! This is amazing since Mike promises a 2.0 or less for his work, so this has exceeded my expectations for radon reduction. *The test Mike provided also came back with a 0.8 pCi/L. Very small fluctuations have been seen in the basement since the system has been installed, but it still remains less than 1.0.
Mike's experience with doing radon mitigations shows and I would highly recommend hiring him to get the job done right the first time. He is an expert in his field and is very nice to work with.

Mike was recommended to us. We was courteous enough to call that he was running a few minutes late for a 9am appointment. He arrived at 9:10am. He provided multiple options on how to vent the radon gas, and honored the quote he had previously provided, even though the effort was greater than he had anticipated. He was extremely efficient in getting everything set up, and was particularly courteous of not making a mess (we had just installed new carpeting and he went out of his way to remove his shoes whenever in the basement.
