did not go very well top installed was not like sample we looked at top installed had fissures rough texture and was dull in appearance. we complained and they did refund the money for the top , but we were stuck with a very expensive undermount sink that was special ordered, they would not refund on the sink.Very poor customer service, would not return phone calls, just terrible to deal with. Would not deal with this company ever again if they were the only company around we would do without, it was that bad. I also think there prices are way out of line .

They did an excellent job. They were thorough and meticulous with measuring and installing.  They clened up behing themselves daily.  They were here on time daily.   They were open to anything we asked.  The bottom line is the product was perfect and the
installation was also perfect.   I would hire them again and I highly recommend them.

Got granite from jps, first of all they tried to charge my credit card for more than was agreed upon because they took out our old countertops. They never discussed this that it would be extra. I would have removed it myself. They were 5 hours late to install the counter tops and one side wasn't measured correctly by them. The counter top was one inch shorter on one side of the stove. It looked really bad. I called continuously for a month to get them to fix the problem. Set me up twice with no show appointments. Finally after threatening to get a lawyer and talk to the bbb they finally came out after 2 months and brought a replacement. The replacement granite was not a very nice piece, but i let that go because i was beyond exhausted. The granite product itself is very rough in spots and always snags cloth. Do not suckered in.

Everyone was very courteous and professional. Salesperson helped me make selection and explained the installation process to me. There is also a lot of useful information on this company's website. The template was done within a few days and the countertops were installed a few days later. Everyone was punctual. The countertops were installed then the plumber arrived within the hour to hook up the sink. Clean up was great. I had no extra work to do. The countertops are beautiful and I am very pleased with the work. I will recommend this company to my friends.

Went great, we met Shawn at a home and garden show a few months ago. He was actually referred to us by 2 other friends so we met with him at the Westminster location. Once we arrived we were overwhelmed by the selection of stone that they had on the floor. Shawn helped us narrow down a color to compliment our kitchen cabinets and floor. We were able to pick the exact stone and layout the design with them. Shawn even suggested we add stacked stone to our island (the back side that is the cheap laminate wood). Installation was schedule within a week from when we first signed a contract. Everything looks wonderful, we could not be any more happy with how our new kitchen turned out.

Their pricing was lower than anybody else. They were unbelievably professional. They delivered exactly what we wanted and they told me it would take a day to do the bleach on counters and took less than a day. They did a fabulous job. No problems or whatsoever.

Earlier this year I had countertops installed by JPS. The initial office contact was not one that instilled confidence. The estimate was lower than another company so I arranged an appointment to have the measurements completed. The person doing the measurements made some suggestions which turned out to be great in the end. When I went back to the office to scheduled an installation the women in the office (different one) did not instill confidence that she know what she was doing. The price was agreed upon and a date to have the countertops installed. When leaving the office was not sure I did the right thing and was concerned. The installers were scheduled to arrive between 8-9, they showed up at 9:30. The plumber was scheduled for 2:00 that afternoon and showed up at 4:00. He never mentioned anything about being late and when I did he said it was the traffic. The installation when well and the countertops are lovely. A few days later I went back to the office to purchase countertop cleaner and the office was open but there was no one to be found. I waited about 15 minutes and no one showed up. I returned a few days later and the women I scheduled the installaltion was in the office but she never inquired how I liked the countertops.
The workmanship was good and great suggestions were made. Don't expect much from the office personnel or for the workman to be on time. If you can get past these two thing you may consider this group.
I negotiated the price of my countertops so don't take the initial price quote they give you.
I rated the overall experience as and quot;Goodand quot; instead of and quot;Excellentand quot; because of the office personnel and the workman not being on time.

Overall a good experience. When we visited the shop we were helped immediately and shown several slabs that were in our price range. Our questions were answered and when we made our selection, we were satisfied with our choice. Measuring and installation were done very timely; turn around time from measurement to install was four days. The granite was beautiful, the installers did a very good job. The plumber arrived four hours after install although we were told he was "on the way" when the installer left. It was not a problem but we would have preferred being told there would be a delay so were weren't anxiously waiting. There were a few small dings in the larger piece of granite that they came back out and repaired quickly along with some final cleaning. They might have been a little more attentive to details, such as calling to see if everything went OK and returning my calls when I called the office to check on where the plumber was, but other than that we are very satisfied.

After searching AL for a contractor that could install a bar counter (small job) for a reasonable price, we decided to go with JPS. We visited their warehouse on Saturday, July 23 and our bar counter was installed Thursday, July 28. This was super fast service, even with the fact that it was a very small job.

I had initially e-mailed a rep about an estimate and she told me $300 for the low grade granite, or the same price for any remnant I could find. When we visited the warehouse, we were able to find a remnant of the highest quality granite they carry and they gave me a quote of $400. When I brought up the fact that I had been e-mailing one of their office members and she gave me a different quote, he simply called her up to verify, and honored the lower quote I was given. Bravo!

As for the installation, the guys arrived about 1.5 hours late due to DC traffic, but called us ahead of time to let us know they were behind. The adjustments and installation took about 20 minutes, and the new bar looks great! Can't wait to redo the counters in the kitchens and bathrooms, as we will definitely return to JPS. Great experience, and super friendly.

We are do-it-yourselfers whenever possible, and they were open to working with us to help save money. Other stone places that I got estimates from were not open to this. Real stone is just expensive, but I thought the price was competitive, and less than most other places. I was having several different projects done, and trying to co-ordinate the timing of the different projects, so it was really important that they stick with the timeline we had agreed on. The whole project went very smoothly, even though I had a couple of different contractors in the house at the same time. JPS was very easy to work with, and very willing to help me figure out ways to save money and avoid missing too much time from work, which several other contractors were not. The other contractors that I tried to get estimates from were obviously 'turned off" by any mention of our desire to save money, or to do some of the work ourselves. Some never even got back to us with an estimate. With JPS, I was able to get estimates and discuss options via email, which was a great timesaver for me. "Liz" was really responsive and patiently answered all my questions via email. We were able to remove the old countertops ourselves, and saved a few hundred bucks. Liz helped me find a big deep stainless sink, at a very reasonable price. I wanted to do a tiled backsplash myself, and they didn't try to talk me out of it or imply that I'd probably screw it up, as another contractor did. JPS had me visit the stone supplier to select a specific slab of marble, which was a really interesting experience. The place was amazing, and had hundreds of huge slabs of gorgeous stone. Once I picked the stone, and an install date, they sent a very nice guy out to measure for the countertops before cutting the stone. It fits perfectly, and the installation went smoothly. They had a licensed plumber come the same day to install the sink, and to install a new garbage disposal (didn't have one before). I was able to get the plumber to install 3 new faucets in the bathrooms, for less than it would have cost to have a plumber make a separate trip, and I didn't need to miss another work day. The counters are beautiful, and the glass tile backsplash goes really well with them. There is one seam, in the larger "L" shaped counter, and it's barely noticeable. To get a slab large enough to do that as one piece would have greatly increased the price. I was able to find marble tiles at Home Depot and finish off a spot where two sections of counter are at different heights for around $20, and that turned out great.

This is something you generally do once, so there is always uncertainty with who to choose. I seached the internet for local businesses and tried to get some word-of-mouth recommendations. I emailed many businesses a schematic and they emailed back a quote. After that, many never followed up - even places I visited. Since this was such a large purchase, I decided to subscribe to Angie's List for a month. I read the reviews and was very impressed by the ratings JPS received. I visited them and the service was great. My wife and I thought we knew what stone we wanted, but they really pushed us to take home samples. This is the first place I visited that would knock chunks off their slabs to take home. It ended up that we chose a different stone that matched our kitchen perfectly. The craftsmanship was great too. Our walls were our quite a bit over the length of the counter and they cut the stone to fit perfectly. Installation was great, everyone was professional and courteous. You can't go wrong with JPS.

My wife and I are very satisfied with the entire process. From start to finish everyone was so helpful. They arrived on time for inital site visit, measurements, and installation. They provided answers to our questions with out having to think about it (no dancing around questions, straight forward answers) and even provided suggestions to assist in our selection of granite. The installation was flawless. They even explained to me prior to installation what they needed to do to make the countertops fit as perfect as possible (walls were not straight...Where's Mike Holmes when you need him!) . They were professional and respectful throughout the entire process. I strongly recommend JPS and would hire them again if I need more countertops.

After getting 3 quotes on getting new granite countertops, we went with JPS Marble and Granite. They were the cheapest for the exact same product. When they came to give us an in-home estimate, they were prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. We had a little less than 50sq. ft of countertop, we chose Madura Gold granite with an ogee edge and we had one edge custom designed. This price also included the D-shaped sink. (Plumbing and fixtures were not included.) They installed the granite in approx. 4 hrs. and they cleaned up everything. My kitchen is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend them to anyone.
