This shop was very professional and helpful. We had a oil leak problem ..not easy to diagnose... they found the source and didn’t give up till corrected. Bravo!

Dave at FHA fit me in right away & promptly diagnosed water pump failure. Since timing belt and water pump had just been replaced 7 months earlier by another shop (Nissan dealer,), Dave suggested it might still be under warranty. Since the system wouldn't retain coolant, AAA towed the car to the other shop (it was still under warranty). Forest Hill Auto did not charge me for service!!

Tony was very responsive and as far as I can tell so far fixed all the issues, and in my opinion at a reasonable price.  I had just had my catalytic converter and O2 sensor replaced by another mechanic and couple months prior and within days the check engine light was back on (after spending far too much money).  Wish I would have found Tony and Forest Hill Automotive sooner!

After visiting my regular mechanic twice for the same problem (squealing noise) with no resolution,   It didn't make the noise for them, and I was told nothing was wrong.       After awhile,  I decided to try another mechanic.   I found Forest Hill Automotive on Angie's List, noted they had a good rating, and decided to try them.     Within 15 minutes, they had the problem solved, and it was fixed efficiently.      Good price, and good work!   What a relief!

It seems like it's hard to find a good mechanic that isn't going to recommend work you don't need. I've seen my fair share of bad ones and because of it there was some trepidation in finding a new one. Naturally I checked Angie's List and noticed one not too far from me was pretty highly rated. I made an appointment online, figuring I needed a new downstream oxygen sensor. I got a quick response and an appointment a day or two later.
The staff were very nice and explained that I needed a new catalytic converter, as the code can also mean the cat's bad. Having 185,000 miles on the vehicle, I was not surprised. The mechanic gave me a few options and explained he had an aftermarket one in stock and would be about $500, parts and labor.
For a new cat, that's pretty darn cheap! Generally you're talking $800-1000.
The work was done quickly and I picked it up soon after. The shop was neat; cozy, really. The head mechanic explained that he and his partner are both Toyota Master Techs, which I thought was pretty impressive.
Overall, I'm very happy with the experience. I'll definitely be going back.

They are very honest. I have been going to them for seven years. I have couple of older vehicles and they just told me right out even if it is not what I wanted to hear. I had an '86 Monte Carlo that I wanted to fix up as I left it messed up because it was out in the driveway for two years. He said, and ldquo; You have to put so much money in the vehicle, unless you love it to death it is not worth the money that you have to put into itand rdquo;, so I ended up just getting rid of it. I have had times were they went out of their way and instead of putting a factory part on it they put after factory part so they saved me money. Some of work that seems unnecessary they won't do it and they tell they can do it. I took a vehicle there one time and I just thought it needed a tune up and they told me right up that I need to get rid of the vehicle. They could have done the job but they didn't and it would have costs me $2000. Last time I went there they didn't charge me anything and they did a total estimate of the car. They pulled the wheels off, checked the engine, checked everything and didn't charge me one penny and just gave me advice like it is going to cost me this much or I can get rid of it.

I intially contacted Forest Hill Automotive after I was starting to have issues with my clutch. It was time to be replaced. I initially found FHA doing a search on Angies list. I decided to try a local shop vs a major chain after reading some good reviews about them, plus they were very close to my house. I initially emailed them for a quote through their website. I had a response in less than 24 hrs and was able to speak to them after I got the email. I needed to get the work done before Christmas and they were able to squeeze me in and get the job done quickly. Dave was very personable. I enjoyed the atmosphere they created in their shop.
A few months later the clutch was exhibiting symptoms that I remember having prior to replacement. It got to the point I had to get it towed one day. Turns out that the Clutch pedal and some other components needed to be readjusted. Also a key component had vibrated itself out of proper alignment/position. When I called and told them the issue they told me I could drop it off. I dropped it Thursday night. Friday they were done working on it. I was able to pick it up April 27, 2013 in the morning. They didn't charge me anything extra as it related to the original work. I thought that was very honest.
I have had my car since 2002 when it rolled off the dealer lot. I am a commuter and my car is very important to me. I was glad to find a shop that took care of it and did honest work.

They were honest and fair with the pricing. The staff was all nice guys. It was a small company so I know them. I knew the two owners since they started it. Then they expanded and had three other mechanics there now. I think they were still high on some stuff and I think everybody was high on some of the stuff they do on automobiles.

They have consistently beat the dealer and other automotive places on price and quality. I feel I can trust them. They don't make unneeded repairs. They have consistently delivered with quality work and the price is always fair. I continue to Forest Hill Automotive all the time for normal preventative maintenance work and any repairs.

This independently owned shop was recommended by a Toyota instructor. Rather than tow the car 30 miles to the dealer we towed it to this local shop. They were extremely professional and said right away their costs are less than the dealer rapair shop. The estimate they provided (about a day later) was indeed lower by several hundred dollars. When I picked up the car they charged me the amount estimated. The shop is very organized and neat and everyone was friendly. Never once was I told that I should consider doing 'x' or 'y' so they could get more money from me (e.g. flush the radiator). In fact, I returned 15 minutes after I left as my turn signal light was out. They replaced it within 5 minutes free of charge. I have definitely found my new auto shop for my car.
