This is my second project with EMC. I had a vision and took Derick to see 3 different houses and he was able to combine my ideas into reality!! I have the nicest house on the block!!!

Dave and Derick provided quality craftsmanship on time and on budget. Impeccable clean up each afternoon provided very little inconvenience during the renovation. Their ideas brought my revocation to the next level. Already have them scheduled to do my next job.

I held off writing this until after the dispute was settled and the project was addressed. The overall experience with EMC was Awful. Anytime a contractor has to say I have done this for X number of years to defend themselves in disagreement with the paying customer on the finished product, it is time to look for someone new to do your job. They talked down to my wife, when we disagreed with their craftsmanship they got defensive and arrogant about it stating this is what we always do. Then they quoted standards that when challenged they told my wife she was being ridiculous not thinking the customer just might look them up. The shower didn't drain, grout was not done in all spots and the tile was not installed straight and flat as proven by a 4-foot level and they said 2 credit card thickness for lapping was appropriate. The toilet would not even sit flat on the floor when put in place requiring shims under the base! Even their own stepdad whom they purchased the company from said the job was not done correctly but he was afraid to correct them because of their attitudes. The end state we had to remove EVERYTHING they did down to the studs and redo the entire remodel to end up with what we expected and hoped for. We are so glad we went with Evva at Forest Hill Kitchen and Bath and Cypress Construction, the end product, and overall interaction was 100% what we expected. Every concern was addressed quickly and politely before a portion of the project was completed, the installed products we couldn't even find an issue with and they came to us with suggestions on what needed to be addressed for a quality end product. Exactly what you expect from a remodeling contractor, to look, listen and consult the client to ensure it is a mutually agreed to outcome, not contention and arguments when you are spending your money with them. In summary - do NOT go with EMC if you want a flat, straight and professional level job done with a professional approach and customer-first attitude.

It went very smoothly! Larry Kilby arrived on time and completed everything we needed. We would definitely hire EMC again.
