COUNTY MOVERS

I had an awful experience with this moving company. Two movers were scheduled to arrive at 8 AM, but at the last minute, I was told one person was not feeling well and they had to wait for another guy. Finally, two movers showed up at 9 AM. We live in a one-bedroom apartment with a bed, TV, four-seat dining table, and home office equipment. When the movers arrived, one of them looked around, panting, and started yelling that there was too much stuff. He was hot-headed and then increased the original price by $80. The movers were extremely careless with our belongings. One of our office desks was fragile, and we wanted him to handle it carefully. However, he had a bad attitude and had no manners while speaking. He was unwilling to compromise or listen to anything and kept doing whatever he wanted. Additionally, we are missing a shoe and the base of our TV stand, and several items were broken. When we inquired about the TV base, he wouldn't take any responsibility or recognize his actions. They also broke a bulb and a lamp while taking out the couch and nearly broke the couch itself. Despite my attempts to explain and help, the main mover was completely uncooperative. He did not listen, was rude, and carelessly threw our belongings around instead of handling them with care. When they unloaded our stuff, they refused to take the furniture to the correct rooms. Instead, they dumped everything in a big pile in the living room and left. Despite our efforts to provide water, Gatorade, and ice cream, the main mover's unwillingness to communicate was the most disappointing part of the experience. I would not recommend anyone to even consider this company. Save your money and your belongings and go elsewhere.

This is the second time I've used County Movers. This move required two trucks as there were two pick up points to one delivery address. It included furniture,a refrigerator, a piano and many boxes. The movers were professional, friendly and efficient. There was some snow that day and they were careful to protect my carpets. They even got the piano safely to my new home in spite of bad weather. I highly recommend County Movers.

It was a pleasure to use County Movers and while I hope to not have to move for awhile, I would use them again. They wrapped all of my furniture and handled my items with extreme care. Another company quoted me a $1500 truck charge and then an hourly rate and a square foot rate on top. County Movers charges a flat hourly rate and these guys did not full around. They were in and out in no time.

The crew that came was great. We had 2 trucks with about 6 people move our townhouse. They moved everything we requested in pouring rain. They worked hard and were respectful of our property. What more could we ask for.

We were packed and ready. They were a few minutes early and did a top notch professional job. We were impressed and would highly recommend these guys to anyone. Careful, professional, courteous, friendly.

The three man crew worked steadily and carefully for the entire 4 hours. They were professional, careful, and cooperative. They did not mind loading my trucks for me and, when all of the things I had pre-labeled were moved, they asked what more they could do because I still had time on the clock.

I contacted them based on their reputation and I was not disappointed. Diana at County Movers was very patient with us as we moved the date three times. The movers were excellent. The entire process was flawless from top to bottom. I can't recommend them enough.

A freight company had delivered a heavy item to our home.  We planned to temporarily store it in the garage until we could schedule a mover to relocate it to the basement. Unfortunately it was too tall to fit through the garage door.  Therefore, we needed a mover on short notice to move the item to the basement.  I called County Movers and left a message describing our situation.  They got back to me the same day and said they would be at our house first thing the next morning.  
Patrick showed up exactly on time, assessed the job, then had to go pick up some supplies.  He came back promptly and the move was accomplished in 15 minutes.  Everything went without a hitch. 
The price was fair and everything was handled in a professional manner. 
I especially appreciated that County Movers responded and did the move with such short notice on our part.
We recommend this company and would use them again.

They not only moved me but it rained like cats and dogs the whole day and they also took things that I donated to the donation store in addition to everything else. They were very nice and patient and did so many things that I requested was extra.I believe that two pieces of furniture may have been scratched on the corners that I did not wrap with a blanket that I should have wrapped or requested for them to wrap. I have found this to be true of all of the moving companies. I recommend that everyone point out the furniture that needs special attention.  I do recommend them highly.

County Movers are terrific. We have used them before and we are never disappointed. They show up on time. Are very professional and fast. The apartments my daughter moved from and to did not have elevators. The crew hauled her furniture up and down the stairs and did not complain or slow down once. She also has a very unusual chandelere and they packed it and it arrived in perfect condition. They are the best!

They were very responsive and timely, especially since we asked for a quick turnaround. The owner was prompt and professional with an estimate of cost provided by email that same evening at a cost lower than 3 other local companies. One female packer did the work of four the day before the move!! Four men moved our household in less than 7 hours. No damage, the movers were very easy to work with, careful, and had good energy and attitude. I hope I never need to move again...but if so, I will definitely call on County Movers.

The 3 men were very nice, had senses of humor and wrapped my antique corner cabinet very well. They worked very hard, appreciated the pizza for lunch. Moving is never fun, but they made it much less stressful than my previous move with another company. My daughter thought Nick was very funny, esp when he said he would like to have a Barbie Cruise ship like hers. I was called maam, which I appreciated, even though I am not that old (50). I am former military and I always address older folks as maam and sir, so I thought that was nice. My sister showed up for moral support, as the last movers I used had made me cry. She was so impressed with Taz, Nick and John that she wants to use them for her move. My mother has said the same thing.

The move was so smooth and County Movers was amazing! They arrived between 7:30 and 8 am and by 10 am they had almost the entire office empty, Another moving company quoted us more than double the price and said it would take 2 days. County Movers completed an entire move of all of our boxes, furniture, and files (from an office of 10 people) in less than 6 hours! The guys on site were incredibly careful and precise moving the heavy items down the stairs and into the new office. The whole time making sure that they did not bang a wall or rip the carpet. Once they arrived at the new office location they helped to position our furniture the way that we wanted and did not hesitate to help re-position if needed. It was about 90 degrees and not one of them complained or sat down on the job. By 2pm our team and the movers stopped to enjoy some lunch before they left.
I would highly recommend County Movers for an office move. They were prompt and professional and did an amazing job!

We used them for our move to another city and they were wonderful. We couldn't have asked for a smoother transaction, it was great.

County Movers was fantastic. We are a military family, so we move a lot, and this was an unexpected in-town/local move that occurred while my husband was out of the country. As a result, I found myself moving me and our children shortly before the holiday season and juggling my full-time job. The owner, Pat, came out within 24 hours of my initial phone call to do an estimate. I competed the job with two other moving companies, but in the end I picked County Movers because of the owner, the price, strong references (which I did check and talk to personally) and the fact that they were familiar with the housing area (we moved onto a military installation) to which we were moving. Two days before the move, the move scheduler contacted me to confirm everything. The owner, and a group of 3 packers all showed up precisely at the time they promised on the first day (i.e., pack day). They all politely introduced themselves, walked through the house to get the lay of the land, and then immediately went to work. They packed the entire house in that day, as Pat had promised during the estimate phase AND began loading onto their truck. The next day, they again showed up right on time and continued loading. We then began the next phase of the move when they traveled to our new home and started unloading. The second day was a little longer than the first, but they did experience several challenges because the house I was moving into was much smaller than the house we had previously occupied. As a result, they had to help me figure out where to move different items, and in some instances, where to store them because they would not fit in the new house. Now that I have unpacked everything, I can confirm that nothing was broken or damaged. I can not say enough great things about this company! Going into this, I was extremely nervous about selecting a moving company because it is not something we typically do (normally the military picks our movers and they just show up and do the job). I could not have asked for a better group of folks to work with. Pat is a terrific owner, and he has selected solid people to work with him. I am VERY happy with this move and would recommend this company to others.

Found County Movers on Angie's List and noted that they were located a couple of miles from my existing home. Called the office and explained what I wanted to do. They were very responsive and quoted me a price that I considered fair and reasonable. Made an agreement over the phone and confirmed the date and time a couple of days before the move. The company sent a truck and 3 men who worked without pause for the next 6 hours. My move was not too far away, but in addition to the truck they also unloaded a POD that we had used for storing boxes. During the move one of the men fell ill and was replaced mid-way through the process. Nothing was broken and I was thoroughly satisfied with their performance. I'd hire these guys again.

They were extremely easy to work with and they offered services prior to the move. They gave boxes for us to use and they worked around our schedule. We had a very odd settlement date and time and they were more than flexible to work within our schedule.

They were wonderful. They were quick and affordable. They showed up on time. They had us moved within 2 hours. I would go back to them within a heartbeat. I took off the whole day. I was able to be in my house by lunchtime.
