The job took two weeks, but I was really impressed with the quality of work. Along the way, Nate pointed out some things he suggested be fixed. Among them was enclosing a wall to make it meet code, removing old hot and cold water pipes that were no longer used, and replacing shutoff valves in the powder room. While I did have to pay extra to have this work done, the additional costs were very reasonable and were an indication that this provider does not attempt to gouge the homework once they start a job.

This is my second project with Construction by Design. Nate is very professional and does great work. Job was a remodel, not a full gut, Nate demo'ed and hauled out all the debris to take the dump. He also did a few extras for me like adding an extra shower niche, and using extra shower tile to build a custom vanity counter/backsplash. He was also very good about understanding this was my only bathroom with a shower and worked overtime some days to stay on track with the project so it could be completed within a week.

Nate is a very knowledgable and professional contractor. He was great about staying in contact and scheduling. Nate came out on a Saturday to complete the initial measurements and estimates. He told me at the time of the estimate that he wouldn't know if there was rotten plywood until he took the old roof off and what the additional cost per sheet of plywood would be if needed. Nate also told me that my gutters and spouts were in good shape and I didn't need gutter covers since there are really no trees around me (these were initial items I had on my work list) . Once I had contracted, to work with my job schedule, Nate came back out on a Saturday to drop off the roof samples. On the day the roof was to be completed Nate and his crew arrived on time and started work right away. As I did end up needing a few sheets of plywood which delayed a bit for a Home Depot run, Nate and his crew stayed until the very last bit of daylight was gone to finish the shingles. Nate then came back the following Saturday to finish the job by replacing the old flashing and changing out the damaged drain spouts. He also cleaned my gutters and installed an extra piece of flashing over a hole I had in my patio where a railing had been removed so water couldn't get in. He also carried the extra shingles into the shed since they were rather heavy for me to do on my own. Nate did this at no extra cost. Nate and his crew hauled everything away and also went around my property with a magnet to pick up any stray nails. Overall I am extremely pleased with Nate and CbD, and am confident my new roof will last the full 25 years with no issues stemming from installation. I do have other work around my house I would like to get done within the next year or two (kitchen and bathroom) and Nate will be contractor I call!

Work went very well. Nathan is on time, is professional and does excellent work.
