English's General Service

I telephoned English's because my furnace had broken down. I knew nothing about the company but it was on a list that my heating fuel provider has of furnace repair companies. I had talked with other repairmen on the phone and two had come out. They didn't really seem to know what was wrong but estimated $500 to $1000 for repair. Mike English came the same day I called him (actually he stopped on his way home in the evening and didn't charge me extra for after hours work.) Even on the phone he seemed to know exactly what my problem might be and when he arrived he got right to work. He tested the furnace, checked some things out, explained to me a couple of options and recommended the less expensive one. He did the work immediately - he had everything on his truck - and cleaned up and sealed the furnace. He replaced some major components as well as smaller ones and his prices were very very fair. Aside from being delighted that my furnace is now working great, and I didn't have to spend a fortune, I felt comfortable with Mike. As I was alone when he came I was a little nervous about having a strange man in my house. However, Mike was polite, friendly and professional. I will recommend him to everyone I know!
