My backsplash did turn out well and the drywall work was good. I was annoyed to find that they installed the washer pan in the wrong location in my laundry room, making it so that I can't close the door to the room. I had asked them to install it right next to the dryer, but they didn't get around to the job until two days later and I wasn't around to supervise.
"The account offered in the complaint is partially accurate, however, some details were left out. The original contract price of $28,413.00 was agreed on by both parties. At this point in our agreement I am entitled to ask for 1/3 deposit to commence the work. I requested a check for $1500 to cover my work to date to include the permit fee. I have agreed to return the permit fee and keep any monies earned for my consultation, and research to date. I did not cancel the agreement and expected to start the work as soon as the permit was approved. The member decided to cancel the entire job. I have offered to have our problem taken to arbitration, the member refused, we have a hearing pending with the Maryland Home Improvement Commission with the outcome to be determined, I am convinced I will prevail at this hearing."
