I was mostly satisfied with the price and quality of the work but I was frustrated that a 2 day job turned into a 4 day job. George and his help typically showed up at my house at 10, took a lunch break around noon, then left around 3.  It appeared that George's subcontractor did most of the work while George stood around watching him.

My backsplash did turn out well and the drywall work was good. I was annoyed to find that they installed the washer pan in the wrong location in my laundry room, making it so that I can't close the door to the room. I had asked them to install it right next to the dryer, but they didn't get around to the job until two days later and I wasn't around to supervise.

George was a very professional and thorough during the bidding  process in the renovation of our home.  He did not win the two bids for the interior or the exterior work.  George even complimented us for telling why he was not selected for the second project, we were impressed However when original contractor we selected could not meet our schedule we went to George   He came to my office and accepted a $1,500 deposit to get the permit process started on our proposed garage expansion.  He called the next day and informed us that we would need a zoning variance from the county before we could get the permit.   We confirmed with the county that this was correct and that the process would take 6-8 weeks if no one protested and approved by the zoning board.  At this point in time we called George and cancelled the project.  We asked for our deposit back less an amount for the time he spent at the zoning office but George refused indicating that he spent a great deal of time working on this and the earlier estimates and that he should be compensated for the estimating work.
