Gene's Evergreens

About us

We opened Gene’s Evergreens in 1982. At the time we first opened we were located at 2212 Belair Road. In 1999 we moved to our current location, 317 Mountain Road. In 2002 we purchased over 46 acres of farm land at 2520 Mountain Road where we now grow most of our trees, shrubs and flowers in containers. We have thirteen 20’ X 150’ Cold Storage Greenhouses and two 30’ X 100’ Heated Greenhouses. We are a locally owned and operated business. The two brothers have worked at Gene’s Evergreens since the spring of 1989. We do installation of patios, ponds, water features, trees and a full range of landscaping. If you were to bring pictures in of your project, we will draw you a plan at no charge as long as you purchase our shrubs! We deliver and set up your trees and shrubs for an additional fee. Stop in today, say hello, and browse through our incredible selection of Gardening, Landscaping and Ponding Items! We are certain you will find exactly what you are looking for at Gene’s Evergreens.

I have been working with Gene's Evergreens for over 20 years and 4 different properties through the years. They have always made my property soar in value with their creative designs and beautiful landscaping. They never let me down, no matter what I need.

I had a difficult time finding someone to do my landscaping. I interviewed/called several companies who either would not return my call or were very expensive. From prior experience I knew that Gene's had a great nursery. They gave me courteous, helpful advice and helped me make a decision on a plan. They agreed to do my landscaping. They were efficient, creative and less expensive than others. My front yard is beautiful and have received many compliments. I will certainly use them again.

We interviewed several people for the job, but they seemed to be the most creative, efficient, and cost-effective of the bunch. We almost didn't call them because somebody had given them a C in responsiveness. But we had no problem getting a hold of them and they were very quick about everything. They do get busy in the spring and they are a small business, so they do have problems getting to all their calls quickly sometimes, but as I said, we had no problem. And they were well worth it. They were very helpful in selecting plants and stones. Nobody can believe the level of work they did for the price we paid. Others wanted to charge twice the amount. I feel they are very honest and efficient, and will certainly use them again.

Trees planted are ok, but after I experienced problems with 3 of the hollies and 2 of the lelands. They refused to come back and replant even after several phone calls and personal visits.

GENE'S EVERGREENS IS A LOCALLY OWNED AND OPERATED FAMILY BUSINESS. THIS BUSINESS CAN BE HARD TO REACH BY PHONE, BUT IF YOU COME IN PERSON, YOU WILL GET VERY COURTEOUS, PROFESSIONAL HELP AND ADVICE. THIS FAMILY REALLY KNOWS THE LANDSCAPING BUSINESS AND THEIR PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE. I PLAN TO KEEP USING THEM.
