I don't usually take the time to write reviews but, in this case, an excellent review is very much deserved. My A/C was acting up recently, so I called a company to come take a look at it. The company I called came and said I needed a new system. That same company came and quoted me 20k for a system with a new furnace. Later that day, I had Contemporary Air Systems come out for a 2nd quote. His quote was half of what the other company quoted (actually less than half). Not only that, but while he was here, he took the time to get my A/C running - in the POURING RAIN (this wasn't a service call, he did that our of pure kindness). I do still need a new system and I will definitely be going with Contemporary for that. But, in the meantime, I'm sitting in the A/C while I take a couple of weeks to gather my funds for the job. Thanks Rick!!! It's no wonder your business has 5 stars!!! You are #1 in my opinion!!

The whole process was made very painless by Michelle and Rick. Michelle was very helpful in setting up the estimate and install appointments and was also very knowledgeable about the ac unit. She also did the paper work so I could my BGE rebate and registered my ac unit so I could get my manufacturer warranty, this was extremely convenient. The actual install of the HVAC unit was flawless and extremely quick, it only took Rick and Aaron about 5 hours to completely finish the installation. Rick also did an excellent job cleaning up behind himself after the install and he was very informative during the whole process. The price was very competitive with the other estimates I had and overall I'm very happy I went with Contemporary for the job. Would absolutely hire then again and recommend them.

Contacted provider on July 15th about heat pump not working. They responded right away and within an hour had someone at my home and made the repair. If that's not service I don't know what is. Don't hesitate to contact contemporary air if you need service.

Working with this company was refreshing! Contacted me right away for estimate and we worked together to coordinate the installation.They were knowledgeable, courteous , and efficient. They were punctual and always sent texts or email to confirm appointments.

Rick was friendly and polite and work on our house like it was his own. The duck work was ran so neatly that we were surprised how much room we still have for storage

When I called, they had appointments within the week. Company owner did the service himself. Very knowledgeable about the equipment. Arrived exactly at the start of the service window provided which is always welcome in my world. Got right to work and continued to provide me information about the service process, equipment and equipment expectations during the entire time. They left me with confidence that my equipment was working properly and that I had a competent company to rely on if I need repair or replacement in the future. Extremely happy with the service experience.

They came from Angie’s List. The cost was $6000 and I had $750 for a rebate. They came here on time. The system that I got, I really love it. The quality of it is quieter than the one I had before so love it. They just came on registration rebate and I didn’t have to do that.

Last time we had an issue they came right out. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with our system so they didn't charge us for that specific visit but did research for us to figure out what was causing the issue.The whole family is friendly, knowledgable, professional, and they really make you feel like an important person instead of just some client. I highly recommend them!

Showed up and with in 15 minutes had problem solved , it was a dirty sensor which was causing furnace to shut down.

Fantastic customer service. Called first thing in the morning and received service by 3 pm. Rick, the owner came out diagnosed the problem and replaced the blower motor. Would high recommend and I will use them exclusively for HVAC issues. Thanks for getting me heat during the coldest day of the year.

We have owned a condominium in Baltimore for about a year. Our air conditioning stopped working during a hot spell about two weeks ago. We started looking for a contractor via word of mouth, asking friends and relatives who they use. That was pretty much useless. Some did not return our calls and the ones that did show up did not seem very competent.  We then decided to search Angie's list and Google for local contractors with good reviews. Number one on the list in terms of good reviews was Contemporary Air Systems.

Our experience from beginning to end was nothing short of outstanding. This is a family owned business and it was very obvious........very professional, hard working and they clearly care about their work, customers and reputation. Our initial call was returned quickly and the service technician was timely. As it turns out, the unit required replacing and there were no viable repair options. The technician explained the situation and it was very clear that he knew what he was doing.

Within 24 hours, the Office emailed us a comprehensive, detailed proposal relative to replacing the unit as well as financing options and available rebates. The unit was installed and we once again had air conditioning within a couple days. The installation was by no means an easy task. The unit was located on the roof of the condo building. Getting the new unit up to the roof and the old unit down was a real challenge. Contemporary handled the process flawlessly, including the necessary communication with the Building Management Company.

I would highly recommend this company!

Was able to get an appointment very next day of callling. Which was amazing considering we tried others and it was two weeks to get someone to come. Called before getting to house and was in and out within 20 minutes. Very friendly and knew within seconds what the problem was.

We contacted 3  other companies about installing a heating and air conditioning system in our new garage.  We found one that was less expensive but, the owner was not a master HVAC installer and that worried us.  Contemporary was slightly less than the other 2 companies.  The work had to be done in stages since the garage was being built.  Rick (the owner) was always available to do the work when it needed to be done. He didn't hold up the process.  His wife Michelle, who works in the office kept in touch with me by email so that things went smoothly.  Everything was done well and we are very happy.

MAGNIFICENT ! THEY COMPETED FOR MY BUSINESS, BEAT THE BEST PRICE I HAD GOTTEN, AND DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY PROMISED ON SCHEDULE. THE GENTLEMAN WAS CURTEOUS AND KNOWLEDABLE. HE EXPLAINED EVERYTHING HE WAS DOING, HOW EVERYTHING WORKED AND WARRANTIES AND GUARANTEES.  IF YOU NEED A FURNACE OR A/C THIS IS THE CONTRACTOR YOU'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR. I COULDN'T BE ANY MORE PLEASED WITH THE WHOLE PROCESS!

I was so worried as I noticed the leak on the Saturday evening before the long Labor Day weekend. I called a few places with no response then called Contemporary. They immediately answered and forwarded me to a tech. I was so pleased when the tech showed up to my house 15 minutes later. He opened the furnace, explained the problem and cleaned the pipes. They even shortened the escape pipe to ensure that the water run downhill. They also checked my freon level for free and advised that my level was low. When I explained I had home warranty the tech even told me to call them first as they should pay for any issues. This was quite refreshing.

The service was fantastic. From the initial call through project completion, everyone was very outgoing and precise. The entire process: call, response, diagnostic test, repair , to maybe 2 and 1/2 hours. I was amazed. Rick, the repair guy was very friendly and was even social with my retired neighbor who insisted on talking to him while he worked. I could not be more pleased with the job.

Rick showed up for the initial service call the same day I called for service. He was very thorough and diagnosed that my compressor died. Seeing how this system was so old, the best option was to replace the entire system. I received two other quotes, and Contemporary came in with the lowest price. One of the other quotes was for a smaller capacity system, and their cost was still higher than Contemporary. The install went very well, and it is working great!

Estimate to Installation - great.  Excellent communication, they know their product.  Always punctual, courteous.
Most seamless installation I've had in years.  So impressed I am now using them for my service contract.

I have used Contemporary AIr Systems previously and thought it was a great experience the first time. This time was no different. This is my place to go for all things HVAC. I'm locked in because the relationship is so good. They are always punctual, responsiveness and adaptable. My recollection is that about the time they agreed to our installation, there were a rash of jobs that could have put us off. But we had a soft deadline for installation and they shifted their scheduling to get our job done. As with our previous experience, it was excellent work.

I've been utilizing the services of Contempory Air Systems for over 15 years as a General Contractor in the Baltimore Area.  I know the principals of the company to be knowledgable, fair & trust worthy.  I would highly recommend them to anyone requiring HVAC servcices.
