+ 0 moreNice product provided from the manufacturer however it was poorly installed and he didn't want to back up his install or correct the problem with the post being to high and causing a bow in the roof line. It was OK by his standards to have a bow on one side of the carports roof line. Easily fixable and insisted there was nothing he could do to correct the issue.
Description of Work: Areo Aluminum sold me a very nice product however the installation was poor. They only provided one down spout when the manufacturer recomends two. Post were not centered within the footing holes, poor concrete finish and one post was over a 1/2" higher than the other 5 creating a bow in the roof on one side of the carport. They had to come back and install the second downspout that they failed to install. When I questioned the bow in the roof I was told as long as the water flows to the front it was good...unacceptable! After being told nothing could be done and I knew it could be fixed I realized they just didn't want to bother with it or back up their work. In summary the installation was not done properly, they cut corners on materials and on top of it all they banged into my fence gates several times attempting to get their work truck out of my yard. I spoke with the factory rep from the company that manufactures the carport product and he stated it should have installed quite differently than the way they did it. The post should have been set first than after the footings cured come back the next day and cut them to desired elevation and line. They set the hole thing with the the post attached in the excavated holes and poured bag mix concrete around the uncenterd post. Apparently they didn't dig one hole deep enough and couldn't get the post low enough to be even with the others. I knew they could separate the canopy from the post and cut the post that was high and yet I was told there's nothing that can be done. After a while of being BS's he decided to come and look at it, he was able to fix it by separating the canopy and making a cut to the post that was to high. An uneven and rough cut at that. The bow is gone and the carports roof line is strait. I really can't believe this contractor doesn't take pride in their work. I will not use Aero Aluminum for any future work. I need new awnings and will give that work to another awning company....I'm done with this company.
