WILLIAMSBURG FLOORS

We contacted Williamsburg Floors for an estimate on repair to hardwood in our foyer. The hardwood in the foyer had been installed prior to our purchase of the house. Other flooring was installed after flooring for the remainder of the house to match with the foyer hardwood. After cleaning the foyer hardwood we noticed extensive discoloration that we could not repair. We had numerous vendors come to inspect the foyer flooring. Everyone gave us a different story and various prices for removal and new installation. We then received the name of Williamsburg Floors. The gentleman came out on a Saturday morning and was the height of professionalism. He took one look and asked us for a paper towel. He then proceeded to explain that one of the cleaners that had been applied actually left a film on the floor and that was the cause of the discoloration. He mentioned that isopropyl alcohol and some elbow grease would do the trick. We offered him money for his time but he said that was not necessary. After he left we researched the cleaner in question online and indeed we found that others had encountered a similar problem. Armed with this information we began to apply the 70% isopropyl alcohol and elbow grease to the problem. Voila! The flooring in the foyer is coming alive again. If we ever have to have flooring done in the basement we would contact him first. Honesty makes a huge difference.
