WILHIDE'S UNIQUE FLOWERS & GIFTS

My husband has a misplaced loyalty to Wilhide's. However, this past Mother's Day finally convinced him what an unreliable florist they are. He ordered two bouquets of12 long stem yellow roses, one for his mother and one for me. Mine arrive on Saturday afternoon, May 11 already looking old and tired with water so cloudy that it was obvious that they had been sitting in it for a few days. By Saturday evening, a few of the flower heads had started to droop. By Sunday evening, the roses were ready for the trash. My mother-in-law's bouquet was never delivered on Saturday, although Wilhide's sent my husband a message that the flowers had arrived. He called their number at 6 pm but they were gone. Instead he spoke to an answering service who took his information and promised that someone would call him back. No one returned his call. Mother's Day came and went; still no flowers. He called again on Monday morning and the person who answered said that she was working on it. He asked that his money be refunded for his mother's flowers be refunded since the occasion was past. On Monday afternoon, Wilhide's delivered another bouquet of roses to me. However, they were red, not yellow. I mentioned this to the delivery man and he said that he would return them. Not willing to deal with them any more, I took them but insisted he take the original bouquet back to show the owners. Tuesday, my mother-in-law called to say that Wilhide's had suddenly "found" and delivered a yellow rose bouquet to her but she said that they were ready for the trash and refused to accept them. My husband called Wilhide's again and again asked to have his money refunded for his mother's bouquet. We'll see how that turns out.

We have been using them for years. I would give them all A’s and I definitely recommend them.

My daughter ordered an FTD fall flower arrangement for my birthday and paid to have the arrangement upgraded to a larger size. When she saw the arrangement she was disappointed, as it appeared much smaller than anticipated. I pulled up a picture of the arrangement on the internet, realized that it was not only not the upgraded size, but it actually contained fewer blooms than the standard (smaller) size pictured. I contacted the company, as did my daughter, and nothing was done to provide any kind of credit. Very disappointing customer service.

We have a long-time relationship with Wilhide's for local and wire delivery. Our most memorable experience with them was many years ago when one of our daughter's high school friends was killed in an accident. We had a very specific need for flowers and for a quick delivery. Wilhide's was the only local florist who would work with us and guarantee delivery. Their service was personal, sincere, and reliable.

Item arrived after 5 pm on expected day of delivery in poor condition, much smaller than expected and with flowers wilting as if it had been sitting around for days before delivery. For a quarter of the price I could have gone to a grocery store and gotten a much better arrangement.
